Highly insulted by this ridiculous, pompous "speakeasy". They insulted my wife at the front door saying they don't allow graphic tees. She was wearing a Desigual blouse with lace macrame sleeves and neckline. The body was print like many blouses, but this was NOT a tee shirt. Instead they made her put on an old, wrinkled Hawaiian-looking man's shirt over her much, much prettier top. Then we get inside the bar (against my wishes) only to find several other women in plain tshirts not nearly as nice looking as my wife's blouse I bought her for Christmas. Hypocrites. Are the drinks good...yes. But the attitude of the staff in the lobby is not. The "Librarian" even had an inappropriate shirt with half the bust cut out ...seriously.They will play hell ever getting me back in this club.

Went here with a party of 8 for my birthday, after waiting outside for 30 minutes my group was told they were at capacity and we could keep waiting outside but they had no idea when they could let us in - then 3 guys walk right in front of us and are let inside. “They are founders” we were told. So the founders are more worried about being able to hang out at their own business rather than letting customers in. Would not recommend going here with more than a few people.

This is truly a gem! If you're looking for a different experience or a mature night out, this is the spot! The speakeasy portion is a fun treat and the drinks are fantastic. Music is at a conversational level, lighting is just right, and the bartender, Nick, was a sweetheart. Cannot wait to return.

Couldn’t speak as to the drinks or the atmosphere due to the fact we never got in. We went with a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday party. After a 30 min wait at the door as other people in line got worked in, we finally got to the front. The lady inside opens the door & hits my wife’s foot with it, then said if she were standing behind the line (literally no line at all no difference in paint on the concrete sidewalk nothing) that her foot wouldn’t get hit. She asked how many were in our party & when we said 8 her eyes opened wide & said I can probably bring you guys in 4 at a time. Which we were cool with, she said we had to wait because they were at capacity. So we couldn’t go in until people left, which again we understood & were okay with. Where they lost us was not even a min later 3 people walk right up front cut the line & are allowed in. The lady said they had founders privileges. Which again I would understand but where it went sideways for us was she literally just told us they were at CAPACITY? I imagine that number is giving to them by the city, so how is it that no one exited & they allowed in? We left & were welcomed immediately at a bar around the corner. I will never try to visit this place. I don’t know why we’re treated the way we were, just be mindful of what to expect if you’ve never been here before.
This place is a must-see. A true speakeasy. The cocktails are insane. Over 2 day's I think we tried over 9 different drinks. Everyone was excellent. The mixologist there knows their stuff.

Lourde’s Library is such a fantastic treat. Books, expertly crafted cocktails, a fireplace, it’s got it all. Be sure to look up the book of the week before you head in! ?

Lourdes Library is a hidden gem and great addition to EGAD. You are greeted by the librarian who is ask you to find the book of the week before entering thru the hidden doorway. You have a choice to sign up for an annual membership and will receive an old school library membership card or pay $5.00 for the week. Capacity is limited and sometimes there may be a short wait unless there is a private party already inside and it will take a while to enter. Lourdes offers attractive craft cocktails with lots of flare and flavor. Clientele is mixed. A must visit.
A fun and unique place with a very cool vibe!! Everyone from the Librarian to the Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable… a must visit when in Eau Gaille!!
