The owner Marcie is amazing and her prices are beyond reasonable. She made a custom birthday cake featuring hand painted rainbow fish. Everyone at the party said the cake was delicious and commented on how beautiful it was. We will definitely be using this bakery again.

In September, my wife and I were in the Melbourne area to plan a family party for her mother's 95th birthday in November. Based on Yelp and other reviews, we visited Mather's Cake Shop and met with the owner, Marci. Right from the start we were impressed. After describing what we were looking for, Marci made several suggestions. She then made and gave us sample cupcakes with the same texture, flavor, filling, and icing. The "taste test" sold us. Based on another suggestion by Marci, my wife sent Marci a table napkin with the colors for the table setting so Marci could decorate the cake with matching theme and colors. The big day was yesterday, and the cake that Marci provided was beautiful to look at and eat. My wife's mother, our family that was there, and the staff that cares for her at a local assisted living facility (whom we invited to join us for cake and coffee) were all raving about the cake. Thank you, Marci. It was a delight to work with you.

Marcie made a very special difficult cake for my husbands 70th birthday - it was a giant cake that looked just like a steak!!!! He kept saying that he didn't really like birthday cake and that steak is his fave food. So as a joke I ordered a steak cake. The execution was PERFECT!!!! It was gorgeous and every detail was meticulously tended to - the coloring of the cake, scale, cutting board, salt & pepper (which was really black and white sugar), parsley and onions on the side with a grilling knife and fork. In addition, the cake, which was really a carrot cake, was simply divine. Some of our guests had 3 pieces and the birthday boy (who doesn't like cake) brought home the leftovers which he devoured. Great work Marcie and thank you so much for such a fabulous job.
