This use to be our favorite bakery when we were in town, but after new management took over the quality has gone completely downhill. Our most recent order was cancelled without notice, and our deposit was not refunded. Find your cakes elsewhere!

Bought a slice of cannoli cake for $7.00 couple of weeks ago and it was drier than the saharan desert…not sure if it’s old or what but that cake went into the garbage after 1 bite…so much disappointment. Will never go back or recommend…just being honest as i am a pastry chef.

They had the best cake for my mom

We purchased slices of chocolate, banana, and carrot. Extremely dry and tough. We ate a couple of bites and tossed the rest.

This is definitely for Mommas Home Made Cakes on Hibiscus…Ordered & picked up a 6” “German Chocolate Cake” that cost $45!
Sad to report IT was not,! It was a chocolate Devils Food cake with fudge icing & as dry as a cracker.
I will in future stick with Publix bakery who does an 8” (bigger) real German Cake for $26.99. = $18.00 cheaper!! You just need to order ahead & can pick up their delicious & moist cake.
Although the female worker was very kind & sweet—- it does not make up for the owner/baker? not giving you a wonderful cake that you’re charged a fortune for🤑👎☹️

Outrageously expensive.
At $80, I can buy 4 better tasting, and better decorated, cakes at Publix.

Such a disappointment. My husband and I had tried Mommas cakes back in the summer and loved the flavors. We decided to book with her for our wedding. However, “momma” apparently sold the bakery right before our wedding and she either half assed our cake or had the new people make it, but it was NOT the quality we expected. The cake was so dry it was falling apart into crumbles when we cut into it. Our guests also complained about how dry it was. If you’re not going to do something right then don’t do it at all. Do not play with someone’s wedding…especially after they paid an exorbitant amount of money for a tiny cake! At least if it had been the quality of the original cakes we tried it would have been worth it, but literally Publix could have made us a better cake for cheaper. The cupcakes were also horribly decorated. Honestly I can’t wrap my head around the fact that the original owner could have made such a bad cake, so I assume it’s the new owner. So, in that case, stay away from this bakery as obviously the new management doesn’t know a thing about baking!

I’m extremely disappointed. The wedding cake that my wife and I ordered was completely botched. It was the most dry and flavorless 2 layered chocolate/vanilla cake imaginable.

This was completely unexpected as the samples we had months prior to our wedding were absolutely delicious!!! (The Blueberry lemon was to die for!!!) However, a week before the wedding I picked up a slice of chocolate cake and it was dry. It was foreshadowing the final outcome and was a total embarrassment to serve our guests :/

For any future weds, THIS BAKERY HAS BEEN SOLD TO A DIFFERENT OWNER and I know that all the 5 star reviews made prior to this posting are from the true “Momma” baker, who isn’t there anymore.

I would strongly advise people to seek other options, as I know that this may be listed as a preferred vendor for certain wedding venues.

The true “Momma”, if you read this, I wish we got to enjoy your cake at our wedding. I find it difficult to believe that after your many years of experience making cakes, that abomination at my wedding was made by you. I tried several of your cake slices months before the wedding, and all of a sudden when there’s a change of ownership it dropped off a cliff. I’m very disappointed.

Really cute shop! The employees are kind and the cake is absolutely awesome I got a slice of Carrot cake and Death by chocolate cake and they were so good and DENSE!!!

This is the second time we had Momma’s cake make us smash cakes for our one year olds! This time it was for our little girl. I asked for their strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese ice cream. I only wanted some simple piping. The cake we received was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It got sooo many compliments from our family. Perfect for our little princess! It was also delicious! We are still enjoying it hehe.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Not only did she save my daughter’s 12th birthday, but she exceeded any and all expectations. It was exactly what my daughter envisioned. The cake was not only beautiful, but it was moist and delicious. Enjoyed by all! Thank you so much for everything! We will come back again and again! You are phenomenal and so talented. Your attention to detail is incredible. It was everything we could have hoped for and more! I can’t thank you enough.

Wanted to get a birthday cake for my gf and friends that was fresh simple ingredients and not commercial bakery. Momma’s was a great experience and first time hearing everyone rave about amazing cake. Priced right, because I know it takes a lot of time to make. Worth it and thankful for them getting this done on time.
