Do not go to this hospital for any circumstances. My daughter had a major stroke, paralyzed on left side was in the ER for 12 hours cause they had no one to clean a room for her. The heart monitor wasn't no, an if I asked any questions they would tell me, wait for the doctor have other patients. Got the room, the bed as broken took them another two hours to find a bed that wasn't broken. Some of the nurses on the third floor were great, some were rides and insulting. My daughter sat in her own urine n p*** for more than 30 minutes before I found someone to help, they Never answer the call bell. Please beware and if you can run, run fast n far

Take my advice and DO NOT GO HERE. If for some reason you do with a critical condition, start looking up funeral home arrangements (that way you'll get a 15% discount). They gave zero respect to myself or any of the patients in the lobby. No patients were allowed back there unless it was an ambulatory patient. I would get up to throw up almost every 10-15 minutes and come back sobbing from how much pain I was in. My pain tolerance is very high to the point where even having an entire disc in my tailbone pop out, I did not cry. NONE of the nurses or doctors who walked around or stayed in the lobby bothered to even look at me. At one point my lungs would hurt so bad to breathe or talk and I was curled up into a ball of my chair loudly crying and trying to get the attention of a nurse...but they all ignored me. I'm 18 years old and a college student in there by myself. The only way a nurse was called to my attention was by EVERYONE else in the lobby. "Do you guys not see how miserable this woman is, she needs your help" one of the guys in the lobby shouted at a nurse. Almost immediately after a nurse approaches me and I thought it was my chance to get some type of medication or IV or give them more information on the medication i'm on/medical history. Nope.. "Your being discharged. You aren't dying, you just have the flu." As soon as I called my mother (who is in Tampa) and told her no one is helping me and that they wouldn't even send me to the back or give me medications immediately all of the nurses payed attention to me. "We are full in the back there is no space." the woman at the reception desk said to me. I gave my cell phone to a nurse who walked into the lobby (she knew nothing about my case yet she cared the most about me) and mom talked to her about my situation. I do not go to hospitals unless I am in dire need for help and this was one of those times. I talked to a doctor via tele-health and he said i need to go the ER and get some type of fluids in me (as i have not been able to eat in about 2 and a half days, constantly vomiting, dry lips/skin, slight hallucinations that I get before passing out, severe headache and unable to walk or sit without pain in my spine). If triage had asked me about my medical history or even what medications I take they would understand why over the counter pain medications do not do anything for me. Eventually after my mom kept pushing for it (ps she's also a RN) they took me to the back in an empty bed, next to another two empty beds (even though the "back was filled to capacity." They gave me a zofran with some water and told me I can "hang out in the lobby." I did not want to stay in that environment any longer so for some reason i decided to drive home (part of me hoping I would get into a major accident on the way just to be sent back Melbourne Regional Hospital to see how they would care for me then). The last nurse showed a little more compassion towards me and I did not feel as if i came into this hospital as a burden for everyone else. I could not say how many times I apologized to that nurse for making her life more difficult. All in all, that was the worst ER experience of my life. A pre-med student would be more qualified than any of those doctor or nurses I had the greaaat pleasure to be around. I still can't understand how you can see a patient getting up and waddling over to trash cans to violently throw up constantly and not even ask them if their okay let alone offer them a drink, vomit bag or anti nausea medication. Please be safe and reconsider going to this hospital if you are experiencing the same flu like symptoms as myself.

On Aug 12th, I suffered a "massive" heart attack. I was rushed to the Melbourne Regional Medical Center by a neighbor because it was only 5 min away. The experience I underwent there I hope no one ever has to ever go thru, hence the reason for this review. Unbeknownst to me, Melbourne Regional doesn't have a regular Cardiologist on staff, so they called in Dr. Gadodia who took almost an hour to get to me although his office is a mere 2 mi away. Before he got there, I had been begging the techs surrounding me for pain meds and none of them would do anything for me until one of them (in an effort to shut me up) gave me some aspirin to chew on... with no water. Once Dr Gadodia got there, they hooked me up with 8 MG's of Morphine while the doctor tried to install a stent inside me. The pain was still unbearable and became more intense when the doctor began slapping at my groin. Apparently, it was because he had somehow managed to kink the stent inside me and couldn't get it back out. So while an anesthesiologist went to work trying to withdraw it, the doctor cut my groin on the other side to start again. In short, I was there for 2 days and never once during all that time did Dr Gadodia come by to see me. He later claimed to have spent a half hour talking to my son who told me the doctor gave him maybe 5 minutes while on his way out the door. Every attempt to call this doctor's office from my home failed because they hang up the phone on you. They claim they don't have the front desk staff to handle the phones. Whatever you do... stay FAR AWAY from both this hospital AND this inept, uncaring Cardiologist they use to treat their patients!

This is exactly how every ER facility should operate and treat patients. Lauren was very welcoming, friendly, professional and proficient. The nurse, Patrick was very attentive, easy to talk to and fast. We waited less than 10 minutes and were triaged. The NP who came to evaluate and triage was also very professional and a great listener.

Terrible!! Do not go here if you can avoid it! I was rushed to the ER, the Dr was condescending to every patient in the ER that night, I sat around for HOURS waiting for help and was overcharged for services by 300% compared to surrounding hospitals. I called for MONTHS to try to get ahold of someone within the financial services department to get financial counseling and NEVER recevied help. I kept getting the runaround to call a different number or I was put on hold and hung up on. Terrible terrible hospital.

The staff was very nice and friendly, but they dont provide adequate care here. I brought my partner in, and the nurses didn't even take their vitals or do any bloodwork like they said they would. They discharged them very quickly, and we went right after to Holmes for a second opinion. It's worth the extra drive to just go to Holmes.

Went to the hospital for day surgery and I personally had a awesome time. All the nurses were amazing. My whole team from my orthopedic doctor to the anesthesiologist and the OR nurses were so good to me and I especially want to thank the IV nurse who got my IV in so quickly. I didn't know what to expect since there are many not so good reviews on here but I personally had no issues . FYI this is my review and isn't fake . Thank you

I would like to give a five star review To the nighttime doctor and his staff in the ER Dept they were absolutely wonderful to me my family and my family member that was in the emergency room he gave the utmost respect and care to not just my family but to all the families in the emergency room that night. even not having insurance there was no Corners cut to take care of him it didn't make a bit of difference to the doctor or nurses I can't say enough of how wonderful they were at the time of his stay. Extremely happy with the evening nighttime doctor and staff again can't say how grateful I am.

WARNING * WARNING *WARNING *WARNING I give Melbourne Regional Hospital 0 stars. It is the worst hospitals you could ever go to. I have tried so many times to write my comments to tell my story here. Every time I do, I get so anxious about telling what happened to me. It stresses me out and I can't talk about it. I was in that hospital for 2 weeks. I would have rather been dead than go through the hell this place put me through. IT IS NO PLACE TO GO for you or your family. SAVE YOURSELF & YOUR FAMILY BY NOT GOING TO THIS HOSPITAL under any circumstances I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE THEM A 1 STAR, which is sad because there were 2 or 3 nurses that actually seemed to care. Other than that this place was a horrific nightmare.

THIS REVIEW MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE! Don't GO HERE. GO TO HICKORY ROAD HOLMES REGIONAL HOSPITAL I DON'T BELIEVE THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS ARE PROBABLY FAKE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE HEART CONDITIONS DON'T GO TO TO THIS PLACE THEY DON'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT OR CARE FOR YOU. Don't GO HERE FOR ANY EMERGENCY They got some CNA or nurse in training putting in IV wth he messed up my vein bad. They shouldn't have a moron practicing on patients, send the idiot back to nursing school or fire him. I came in with chest pain, nausea, shortness of breath, etc. They took me in, and a person doesn't know if he was a nurse or CNA looked nervous in putting an iv he blow my vien which still hurts to this day. Takes up to a year to fully heal from blown veins. The nurse eventually put in the iv. The nurse said I was dehydrated but they didn't give me any liquids. Why did they put in the iv for nothing? This hospital doesn't have the technology to check for heart attacks etc. They took a lot of blood and concluded it wasn't my heart and sent me home with blown vein and stomach medicine. The doctor barely talked to me, gave me the medicine, and seem to always want to run somewhere else. This hospital is a joke. One lady was in the emergency area for 2 days and wanted a regular room but they would give it to her. The big difference between a room and being surrounded by historical patience coming in and out. It's not a room just curtains separating areas. A couple of days later I went to regional on the hickory road this is a real hospital and the original hospital in Melbourne. They check my heart with ct scan and stress test they ran blood tests and found I was anemic and had low blood this place wasn't perfect but a lot better than Wickham Road's night and day comparison. As soon as I went in they gave me fluids. They admitted me and ran a lot of tests. They were very professional I would feel comfortable leaving my loved one here.

To be clear, I am referring to coordinator is "TiFFANY" not Mae, I apologize to Mae for any misunderstanding. My husband is a service connected disabled Vietnam and Gulf War veteran with nerve damage in both legs and drop foot. His legs are weak and he falls down often. I am disabled, too, so I cannot help him up. Just a few days ago he had a total knee replacement at Melbourne regional. His doctor did a great job fixing his knee. We decided that it would be good for him to go to Sea Pines rehab center because the provide extra training and PT to get you back on your feet fast. The have three PT sessions every day which is what my husband needs to get strength back in his legs. I speak from experience because I was a patient at Sea Pines myself after I had a knee replacement! My husband asked "coordinator TIFFANY" at Melbourne regional to submit a request for him to go to Sea Pines. Yesterday "coordinator TIFFANY" told my husband that Sea Pines denied his request. I thought that was VERY strange and called Sea Pines and spoke to several staff members in admission, in charge of processing applications - I was told by several employees the NOBODY EVER submitted a request for my husband to go to Sea Pines! Furthermore, it was explained to me that Sea Pines does NOT deny applications, after Sea Pines receives an application, it is forwarded to the insurance for authorization and approval or deniall! In our case, it is Tricace for Life and Medicare. Since I was previously approved for treatment at Sea Pines after I had a knee replacement, my husband would have been approved as well BUT for the FACT that coordinator TIFFANY decided on her own that my husband does not need to go to Sea Pines for help and improvement, SHE decided that my husband is going home instead (to sit in his chair). I believe that this is NOT the First time "coordinator TIFFANY" lied to a patient - and it won't be her last time. I urge ANYONE who needs PT to get back on the feet after a knee or hip replacement, do NOT blindly trust any "coordinator" at this hospital!!! Probably the fact that they have a contract with "Home Health" has a LOT to do with her decision! AFTER we exposed her lie, she tried to do damage control and quickly called Sea Pines to tell them that my husband does NOT need the help from Sea Pines!! I would stay AWAY from Melbourne Regional hospital! Oh, they tried to send him home yesterday, and one nurse did not like that he had to stay another day. So yesterday they told him that he will leave today, however, today he needed a blood transfusion. I am expecting that they will kick him out tomorrow... yes, as expected, husband was dischard... I called the ""patient advocate" and left a message to return my call.... still waiting.... My husband is supposed to wear the stockings during the day to prevent thrombosis and to take them off before he goes to sleep.. Well, he is UNABLE to put them on and I can't help him because I have a torn rotator cuff and a torn bicep.. So I guess if my husband gets thrombosis, we KNOW WHOM to blame. BEFORE TIFFANY took it on her OWN and decided she is going to do what SHE WANTS, not what my husband wants, I was thinking about having my left knee replaced at this hospital,, however,, AFTER being lied to,, THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN! Also, Remember WHO pays the "patient advocate" - what happens in this hospital, stays in this hospital!

On our drive home from Margate Fl to Charleston SC my husband was experiencing chest discomfort. As we were approaching the Melbourne area I suggested we stop to check him out since we have family there. Everyone from the ER staff to the heart cath team that ended up stenting 2 blockages in his arteries were the Best! Dr P and his heart cath team were professional, knowledgeable, and kind, as were everyone we encountered throughout the hospital. God definitely led us to this facility.

14 minutes agoNEW If I could give you 0 starts I would. I arrived to your ER by ambulance for the 4th time in 4 months on 12-19-2021... I was told I was "seeking attention", and told, "You don't need to make so much noise" by your doctor's and nurses... Let me start with why I've been there so many times. I have crohn's, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, and at the time, an 8 inch abdominal hernia. I was back, again, for the excruciating pain I was in. This time I was vomiting/dry heaving, crying/moaning in pain, and sweating profusely. I have had multiple CT scans here, history of my 3 autoimmune disorders, surgery (sigmoidcoloctomy), and at one point had a perforated intestine in this hospital. I was sent home with a prescription for Tylenol PM, informed I was "seeking attention", and forcing myself to dry heave at this point, because I had been throwing up for 5 hours. The next day 12-20-2021 I was admitted to another hospital with a twisted bowel and incarcerated hernia, which required emergency surgery so I didn't die. I received my life saving surgery on 12-21-2021 with ZERO thanks to your hospital. If I had relied on y'all and your paper prescription for Tylenol PM, I would be dead by now and my husband and children would have done what? So I guess I want to say that not only am I disgusted in your hospital, the lack of care for a patient that has a significant history of GI problems, the disrespect I was given, and the total disregard for patient care is abhorrent. I also think it's questionable how you did not send a paper survey or a phone call. You simply texted me and asked for a Google review. This entire hospital should have been shut down yesterday.

Not a very good experience with my imaging appointment this morning. I arrived about 20 minutes prior to my appointment time and checked in with no problem. I then sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes past my appointment time before asking when I would be seen for my appointment. After about 5 minutes, I was told it would be a few more minutes. Finally, after 1 hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time, I canceled my appointment and decided to go elsewhere for my imaging. Upon to speaking to the receptionist, she told me the procedure before me was going a "little longer" than expected. One hour and 15 minutes is a little long? Maybe in geological terms. There was a genuine lack of care during this whole mess. I will be going to University Center Imaging or NSI from now on. If I do need surgery, it won't be at this facility. Beware of these chain facilities! It would be nice to have community hospitals again.

I would rather die on the streets than be transparent here. Understaffed and over worked
