We had advertised special. An excellent offer. A three course meal. Had 8oz. sirloin and 2 sides. Loaded baked potatoe and beef and barley soup. Also, a nice piece of cheese cake. The steak was good, not great. I would surely go again for the special. The service was of a very high standard. Very attentive to our needs.

Outback Steakhouse - More like Outhouse Setback. TLDR; Waited over 1hr and 45 minutes for cold food on my mother’s birthday after the manager said it would be ready in “just a few minutes”.
This is the second time I’ve dined at this specific Outback Steakhouse and had a bad experience. The first time, my parents and I sat in the main dining area during lunch (12pm-2pm) and waited 45 minutes for our drinks and the bread that never came. We saw our waiter once to give us menus, he said he’d be right back and he never returned. Needless to say, we left and went to Smokey Bones next door which not only served us as soon as we entered, but were much friendly wait staff.
We went in for dinner at 6:30pm on 2/20/25 and it was busy, which we anticipated for dinner time. This and waiting are not a problem. What is a problem is waiting 30 minutes from after our appetizers are served to get refills on drinks. After we finally get our drinks, we waited another 15 minutes (45 at this point) for our food. We ask our waitress (who was very kind in the whole ordeal) on where the status of our food is. She tells us not once, not twice, but three times that it’s almost ready and will be out ASAP. After a full hour has passed, we asked for the manager because this was the third time she told us it was almost ready. The manager came over and said it was still on the grill and would be out shortly. We waited 20 minutes and he came by again to say some of our food was on the window and waiting on one more item.
Finally! The food arrives, but as soon as it’s sat down, none of the steaks we ordered are hot, the fries are tepid at best, and was overall unacceptable. If the food was “almost ready” and “on the grill” then why did it come to our table cold? When I say cold, I mean those steaks had been sitting on the window for a WHILE. Literally nothing we ordered was hot. If I want cold food, I would just go to a deli. For the prices that these restaurants charge, I would expect the food to be hot.
After waiting an additional 10 minutes for Mr. Manager to come back around (not to mention him watching our table from the Kitchen and constantly popping his head out. Receding only when he noticed one of us trying to get his attention by waving), he tried to tell us he was having a new order sent to the kitchen to be hot for us. We told him after waiting practically an hour and 45 minutes, we aren’t going to wait another hour for him to fix the food. We’d already lost our appetite and nor did we want any of the staff spitting in our food.
To say the least, avoid this Outback Steakhouse if you can. There’s a Smokey Bones BBQ next door and Shells Seafood. Your money is better spent there than at this awful chain.

I was truly truly disappointed, mistakes were made , but then the quality of the food is not what I've come to expect from the fast food chain Outback. We asked for salad to come with one of the main course dishes, it came early, we asked for no dressing on ceaser salad , it came on side. Then the major mistake , incorrect cut of steak! Needless to say, we will give Outback Melbourne, Fl a break for a good while. Oh and offering free dessert doesn't cut it! Sad, because it may just have been a bad night to go to Outback Steakhouse.

Super nice bar staff ( yeah, we always choose the bar to dine or have just a drink. Stop judging!!!). Our bartender, Jennifer F. , was just amazing!!!! Too bad we live in Clermont! If we were closer to Melbourne, I would just come in for her ( I am a girl!! She was really nice!!). She was so nice, the drinks were awesome and the food was great too!

Had soup and salad. Beef and barley soup was super thick. Was more like a stew..not good.bleu cheese chopped salad was good but an up charge for it! Needed glasses to see the + 2.99$.....almost $4 for soda! Won't go back for lunch again

We absolutely love this particular Outback because of its GREAT food and the wonderful server and hostess staff.
You're greeted when you arrive by smiling faces! The servers we've really enjoyed (alphabetically) are Jenni, Rene, Rudy, and Summer. All are very attentive and just nice folk.
The food is beyond compare. They just switched menus, and from the new items I had the large coconut shrimp for my entree. They were amazing! I've never had shrimp that big ANYWHERE.
I also had the new mozzarella sticks - boomerang shaped - and they're probably the best of any restaurant at this time.
Prices were lower, too! Bonus!
