Really unfortunate first-time (and probably last) experience here. Called the store today and asked, “Are you serving any sugar free ice cream.” Woman answers, “Yes, we are serving Strawberry and Butter Pecan sugar free ice cream.” We immediately drive over and then wait in line for 20 plus minutes for the one person (I don’t fault her for being the only one working) to make back to back malts for nearly all eight of the people in front of us. We finally get to the front of the line and ask for the strawberry sugar free ice cream to which the staff member says, “we don’t have anything on top.” Uh, what exactly does that mean?? “We don’t have anything on top, as in we don’t have the sugar free ice cream.” There were several labels “on top” (not just the sugar free ice ceam), so I’m still not clear about that. We calmly explained we had called as above and she then double checked her stock and said “No, we don’t have it.” Our party and the couple behind us both left and ironically saw each other at Publix buying sugar free ice cream. This is my advice to the store: Confirm you are actually serving something when a person calls to ask this question. As the owner, consider adequately staffing your store, especially on a day like Father’s Day. The store was very busy in there for one staff member to be working and timely service was inadequate. Make it much clearer on the ice cream display when something isn’t being served (i.e. all labels looked the same for the ice cream being served). It should not be on the customer to inherently know that the top label isn’t being served. I’m not sure I’ll give this place another chance but hopefully the owner(s) read this for the benefit of someone else. Giving a generous two stars for no service because the staff member working seemed pleasant and the place itself was a cool throwback ice cream shop.

You guys should staff more than 1 person at a time. Employees who work shifts alone tend to work less efficiently. She did great tho!

A must-do experience! 1905's soda pop vibe with amazing flavors and variety. Even spaghetti ice cream! 🍝 🍨
Dont let the strip mall location fool you! It deserves a stand alone! Coming back again!

Clearly asked the server if they had walnuts, she said yes and pointed at them. I clearly told her I’d like walnuts on top of banana split instead of peanuts. She put a load of pecans on it. Maybe if she wasn’t worried about getting back on her phone, she would have remembered I said walnuts and not pecans. The place needs a good cleaning. Floors and the record rugs are dirty, tables sticky, bathroom dirty. Two girls working there were on their phones when they weren’t scooping ice cream. The decor is old rock and roll. Place was interesting to look at but I don’t recommend eating there.

Family owned local gem. Fun and nostalgic interior decor. Huge selection of Hershey's Ice Cream flavors. Huge double scoop ice cream cup, super reasonable prices. Your spoon changes color!
