Hometown breakfast for an honest price and friendly people to serve the most important meal of the day.

Came in at around 11 on a Wednesday. Very cozy almost homey vibe very lovely servers very sweet. I had a ice tea while my mother had a coffee which both were really good. Food was amazing, my mother had something from the breakfeast menu and I had the cuban which was very very good. Definitely comming here more often.

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. For the first time in years I sat down and ate a meal without doing anything else, no phone, no TV, I was alone so I wasn't even talking to anyone, it was just a great hearty meal for an excellent price. I was visiting Melbourne from out of town, I hope the locals appreciate this place.

Just like a proper diner, David came by and made sure we were well taken care of. Good food came out quick the waitresses distracted our 19 month old with toys! What more can you ask for?

UPDATE:: I went in for breakfast yesterday and I was so disappointed. When I first wrote this review we went for lunch and it was amazing but breakfast was terrible. The bacon wasn't cooked all the way and rubbery as if it were microwaved. The sausage was over done and gross. The coffee tasted like water and was served in a black cup so I couldnt even tell the color but it was watery even with cream and sugar added. The ham steak was cold in the middle and only quick grilled on the outside for color. The waitress only came to our table once when we were almost done eatingdidnt even come ask how everything was until then. Her disposition wasn't very welcoming or friendly and had a nasty attitude when asked about how the home fries were cooked. After this experience I definitely won't be returning and that is hard to say after such a great lunch experience but all it takes it one bad experience and a not friendly attitude waitress to ruin it and that has happened. I don't recommend breakfast at all here. Food is definitely not made fresh and for the price and portions you get its not worth it at all.

I have not been in this restaurant since it was Harold's way back in the day. The new owner is amazing! He has stuff up in there that still remembers them! The place is very cozy and the staff are all so very nice.the food was so so good and with good flavors and good size portions! I can't wait to go back!

We love eating at diners when we travel. We stopped in for breakfast and had great food and a very warm welcome from fellow diners and all the lovely staff! The food was so good we stopped back by for lunch. It was amazing and a great value. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who came by our table and chatted for a bit. Highly recommend Shep's Diner!!

Great down-home diner. Had exactly what the hubs and I were craving. Great food, super server and all-round fun place. Biscuits were yummy, my omelet was loaded and had to use a spoon to get all the veggies.

Absolutely love this diner. The food is well prepared with great servings. The waitress was very acknowledgeable where the menu was concerned, the vibes are very laid back and comfortable. Overall a great place to dine.

Moved from PA to FL a few years back and have been looking for a diner. Not what it seems Florida calls a diner, but what us dirty Ole PA Dutch people call a diner.

It's cheap, plates loaded to the gills, buttery delicious breakfast.

We have tried about 6 places over the years but a few months ago we decided every other weekend we are going somewhere till we find what we are looking for.

Just so happens this was our first random pick for no reason at all, and we ended the search here.

The prices simply will not be beat. If you want to travel back a few years and remember what it's like to stuff your face for about 10 bucks and under go here. I don't mean feel full or satisfied. I mean completely stuff your face.

Like 12 bucks and I get the biggest thing on the menu. He man special. 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, 2 sausage links (maybe 3), 2 toast, hasbrowns. Huge pancakes, and a lot of potatoes.
