The cabbage soup was very bland. They were out of grits, biscuits, garlic bread and a few other things. The Mac n cheese was old and crunchy, the pickle with the sandwich was DISGUSTING, it tasted like rotten sewage smells.. The lasagna was cold and nothing was substituted for them being out of garlic bread.. The chicken sandwich comes on a sub roll, but the chicken is very small, so tons of empty bread. The waitress we had was very nice, only reason for 4 stars.
This place is perfect! Two older southern ladies seemed to be running the show, southern hospitality and quality of food at its finest!! We’re hoping to go again before our vacation ends. The homemade biscuits were unrealistically delicious. I know what Allan Jackson means where he says “ain’t like momma fixed it”!
One of the better diners around. Great for traditional breakfast and coffee. They also have a great breakfast bar for the working person if you want a good o'l dine and run with real bacon!
