This was our first visit here and we will surely return. Lots of menu options for both vegetarian and non-vegetarians. Definitely recommend the vegetable samosas.

Food is highly flavorful much like other Indian restaurants in Florida, irrespective of some of the other low reviews. Quantities are also generous and it arrived pretty soon! Service was joyful and ambience is fairly good. Only one word of caution; spice levels here are relatively higher than other places. So if you’re normally used to Medium+ or hot-spice levels, recommend ordering Medium instead, not hot. Our server was flexible on the Music selection. If they dimmed the lights a bit instead of full bright it’d make for a more cozy ambience. Overall a worthwhile experience.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! My wife and I used to live in Orlando and would faithfully drive to a spot 20mins out that had by far THE BEST Indian cuisine ever.. that is until we moved here to Viera. TAJ is SOOOO good. They have not disappointed! Huge shout out to Taj!

Nice Indian restaurant at the mall! We've been to the lunch buffet three times over the last few months. It has a very nice selection of about 8 main dishes, with at least four chicken options of various sauces as well as the ever present tandori chicken! I apologize for not being able to pronounce nor spell the selections other than the butter chicken, tandoori and kheer rice putting dessert which is included in the buffet, but I enjoyed every one of them! The bread on the buffet was a fried dough as opposed to naan, but it too was ludicrously soft and wonderful. We also had masala chai tea, with its wonderful aromas of cardamon and other spices. Attached is a notice on each table identifying the multitude of diversity of their staff and the dozen styles of cooking available for the customers. For this plain white bread customer, it was a nice mini education on the truly diverse flavors out there. Just as almost every state in the southeastern US may have its own definition of the word barbecue sauce, it absolutely makes sense for a southeast Asian subcontinent to have flavors in every region. (I hope that statement does not offend anybody. I mean it as a compliment to the restaurant in offering the dozens of styles available to them beyond the menu and a little self-deprecating humor pointing out my ignorance).

I was in Viera a few weeks ago to take my Mother-in-law to the doctor. We drove up from Palm Bay. We decided to have lunch before driving back and stopped to eat at Taj Modern Indian Cuisine. OMG!, I was not expecting such delicious food from a buffet. The spices in each of the items I tried were perfectly balanced and nothing too hot. I have not tasted Indian food this memorable since I hosted a married couple from Hyderabad a few years back who prepared a wonderful Baingan Marsala dish for me and my wife. Taj had a similar eggplant dish on the buffet that was just as wonderful. There were four in my party and we all shared the same experience, so much so that we returned the next day for lunch again. We met the chef and commented on how much we liked the food, especially the eggplant and he told me that he studies the spices he uses which explain the myriad of flavors melding together and delighting the senses.I have since returned home to NC, but my father-in-law still talks about eating here when I speak to him on the phone about our next trip. I look forward to returning here again.

Ordered food to go. Food was fresh, hot and ready within 10 minutes. The two staff members that assisted me were friendly, polite and overall gave a sincere sense of hospitality to the restaurant. Definitely worth a try if you’re into South Asian cuisine.

We stopped in this place while we were starving. We did the buffet. It was pretty good. I didn’t get pics because I was starving and by the time I was done eating I couldn’t get seconds. I would go back and order something. Place was clean. Our waiter was nice. It was our first time coming in so we were not sure how to get drinks. Make sure you go to the counter and order drinks if you plan to have while you eat. Otherwise no complaints.

Went on a Saturday and decided on the buffet. Had good amount of vegan and meat options. Needed to remind server after cooks and waiter checked buffet to replace ice under rice pudding as it was just sitting in water so he replaced the dessert but left water. Family friendly with bench seating against both walks and 4 tables in middle. Staff serve iced water and clear your table. Not that busy after 2pm.
