We had been there before and enjoyed the food , place and service. This time, the experience was not good. Due to overbooking beyond the capacity of the main dinning room we were directed to a secondary dining room. The room was not decorated, prepared or appropriately cleaned. The mirrors were greasy, the floors dirty. The service was well intentioned but disorganized and the food was as good as always. A real shame that they were not prepared to manage their success.

I had ordered, garlic shrimp and Kerala fish curry.Sorry to say the food was terrible. The garlic shrimps was drowning in oil and the oil took away all the taste of the dish. The Kerala fish curry, the grouper was barely thawed and put in the curry. I can easily tell that the curry was cooked separately and the grouper was put in it for the last 2-3 minutes. The fish was bland with no flavor.A lot of non Indians get carried away, with the addition of loads of cream and oil but that's just not Indian food. You eat this for a week and you will discover new illnesses. If you want to be safe and want a healthy option here, a rack of lamb would be your best choice. Not much to take shortcuts in it.Extremely disappointed with the food.Been in Melbourne since 2008 and I know how the staff treats " indians " vs " non Indian " guests. With a lot of attention to the non Indians and a very casual approach towards Indians. It's not discriminatory but just a casual approach.Fortunately our server was very very nice and very respectful just so he doesn't get blamed. The issue is, complacency, being the only player in town.If they serve this food in India, believe me they will shut shop in a weekA very poor example and display of Indian cuisine.

Enjoyed the food a lot, but found out the owners keep all the tips given from patrons to servers and distribute them based on how they feel the servers did. Not a fair pool, but completely based on favoritism. Not worth

I'm not a great judge of Indian cuisine, but I get the sense that these folks have resisted the temptation to cater to American tastes and instead cook authentic, OG Indian recipes. It seems the place is always packed, so they must be doing something right. I liked it both times I went. Good service by good people.

Food was above average if not amazing .There was this server (don't know his name , he was a bald man) who was very knowledgeable about the menu and customized the order per our taste and preference.

Taste of India has an incredibly varied menu, fresh food, and friendly service. One of the few Indian restaurants in Florida that serve Dosa, and do it so well. I’m a huge fan of their Malai Kofta and paneer dishes, as well as their samosa, paratha, and naan. The masala chai is also a favorite. I think it’ll take at least 100 more trips to try the whole menu, but challenge accepted!

Got the butter chicken and garlic naan, color seemed off on the butter chicken and was very oily. Taste was meh for the butter chicken. Garlic Naan was loaded with garlic I enjoyed it very much but a warning to those who may notAll in all I will be trying other local Indian restaurants before going back sadly. I'm hoping it was just an off day for them.
