The Cottage Irish Pub Reviews
chill place good fish and chips we will be back!
Stopped in to toast my father in law after his service and was made to feel like I was at a friend’s place… bangers and mash was heaven on a plate.. will definitely stop in again when we’re down from GA!
The food is great. Huge liquor selection. Ambiance is amazing and gives you everything you would want from an Irish pub. Indoor and outdoor sections are both excellent and enjoyable. Try the curry chips. You won’t be disappointed.

The Cottage Irish Pub is a family-owned establishment located in the EGAD district of Melbourne, offering a cozy atmosphere with indoor pub seating, a front deck, and a shaded beer garden. This quaint brick cottage serves traditional Irish fare, including favorites, and pours perfect pints, including Half and Halfs and Guinness. The pub's friendly and attentive staff provide exceptional service, making it a beloved spot for regulars.
Customers have described the atmosphere as warm, familiar, and cozy, with a charming space called The Snug, which features a faux fireplace and decor that reflects Irish culture. Many have enjoyed the food, highlighting the Pub Sampler, which includes Cottage Pie, Bangers & Mash, and Guinness Beef Stew, all praised for their flavor. The mulled wine is comforting on cold days, and the bread pudding has been noted as a standout dessert. The outdoor seating area is plentiful, and the lighting adds to the overall ambiance. Authentic Irish folk music enhances the dining experience, making it a delightful place for families and those seeking a comforting meal.
While the food, drinks, and overall experience receive high praise, one customer mentioned a musty smell in the older building, although the outdoor seating helped. The service has been described as excellent, with staff members like Haley being noted for their kindness and helpfulness. Overall, The Cottage Irish Pub continues to be a charming and welcoming spot for everyone.
