Sub par food not served hot after waiting an exceptionally long for entrees to arrive. We were a party of 5. Not one person happy with the food. Server was apologetic, but only adequate.. No manager on site to speak with. Only 2 other tables dining besides our party. We generously tipped, but unfortunately won’t be returning. Disappointing experience all the way around. Also highly overpriced.

We drove over an hour to eat here and the food was less than subpar. My escargot was served cold long after the other appetizers hit the table.. then we waited a very long time for our main entrees only to be even more disappointed. My 10 oz ribeye looked like something you might get severed at a breakfast restaurant. Completely overdone , and certainly wasn’t 10 oz. At this point I refused a new meal. I was charged for doubles even though I didn’t order a double. So I paid $57 for 3 drinks and an appetizer. No management on premise. Completely disappointed. My friends food which was fried fish and French fries, was little more than Luke warm. 2 of our party are in the industry now and I’ve worked in the restaurant industry in thee past for many years. As a server, I would have refused to serve this food. We tipped her generously, about 40%, however the whole experience was beyond disappointing. Will not be returning.

The place needs updates. White linens on the tables but the restaurants isn't that fancy. Waitress cleared a table, shook off the tablecloth, flipped it over and put it back on the table then reset the table.
There was food on the floor when we arrived, obviouly didn't get cleaned up from a prior customer.

Parking: Does have at least 2 handicap parking spots.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it's wheelchair accessible.

Well never go here again. Ordered a Porterhouse Steak. When my order was delivered to my table, it was only PART of a Porterhouse Steak. The SMALLEST portion of the two portions that make up a Porterhouse Steak had been cut away and served to me as a Porterhouse Steak. I'll never go to Blue Water Bay again.

Food is good most of the time, the service is decent, it has an interesting decor, but the loud-mouthed bartender has ruined the nice evening every single time for the past year. Too bad they don't have tables outside.

Sunday brunch menu offered smaller (but reasonable sized) seafood offerings. The Fried Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp on Grits were very good. Very reasonably priced.
Service was exceptionally slow, dishes were served 75 minutes after ordering. So, plan to sit a spell.

Dear Blue Water Bay Management,
My party and I dined at your restaurant last night, Saturday February 15, 2025 time 5pm , for the seafood buffet. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, especially considering the $50 per person price point. We believe that at this price, the quality and preparation of the food should be significantly higher.
We are providing specific feedback on several dishes in the hopes that you will address these issues:
• Scallops: The smoke flavor was so overpowering that the scallops were inedible. This resulted in a significant waste of food.
• Peel and Eat Shrimp: The shrimp were overcooked, making them difficult to peel and lacking in flavor.
• Oysters: The oysters appeared unappetizing, looking like a "bowl of slime." We did not attempt to eat them due to their appearance.
• Artichokes and Mushrooms: These tasted as if they were taken directly from a can without any seasoning or preparation. The canned flavor was very prominent.
• Gator Sausage: The spices and heat were so overwhelming that the gator sausage was unpleasant to eat.
• Snow Crab Claws: The crab claws were overcooked, making the meat difficult to extract and lacking in flavor.
• Sushi: The sushi tasted strongly of vinegar and had a bitter aftertaste. Additionally, we had concerns about the freshness of the fish. We would strongly recommend ensuring that the sushi is prepared by someone with experience and using fresh ingredients.
• BBQ: The BBQ was overpowered by the sauce.
• Fried Items (Fries, Frog Legs, Fried Shrimp): While these items were acceptable, the breading was excessively salty and could benefit from a more balanced seasoning.
• Dessert: The dessert selection was limited to coconut macaroons, brownies, and cookies. For a buffet of this caliber and price, we expected a wider variety and more appealing options.
We understand that running a restaurant is challenging, but at $50 per person, we believe the quality of the food should reflect the price. We hope you will take our feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to meet the expectations of your patrons. We would be happy to discuss this further with you at your convenience.

I wanted crab legs. Instead, the menu had a bunch of fish I've never tried. No crab legs.
The menu was confusing.
Anyway, the prices were off-putting. The place was packed tho and barely room to walk thru.
I got the rib eye. My friend the fried shrimp. I also ordered spring rolls and crab/artichoke dip and chips. The flavor of it all made the experience worth it. But, not the service. Nearly have to bring your own fork. So, not the Styrofoam cups... not the filthy bathrooms with dust covered fake plants... not the lighting... just the food was good. But it's not worth it overall.. I won't go back there. Oh! Nearly forgot the best part...if you want to smell the stale beer from the bar while you eat, it's the place for you!

Got a table and waited 15 minutes. No sign of a server or any concern that we had been waiting without anyone checking in. Walked out after 15 minutes of sitting with no service. No one cared! Won’t be returning!

Quaint little place , first time here waitress was attentive and nice but I must say the food selection I felt was sub par, although it wasn't bad it wasn't my cup of tea , my biggest complaint was that I ordered an unsweetened tea it was served in a wine glass for brunch and the wine glass was dirty!!! It literally had lipstick marks on the rim.... Being I was taken out to lunch by an acquaintance I felt embarrassed or inappropriate to even mention it to the waitress, with all the viruses going around and your serving food on dirty dishes, as someone who did nursing for most of my life I'm appalled, and will not recommend this place.

Haven't stopped by here in a few years.. Sad to say the food was no where near the level of several previous visits. Server was awesome & apologize for the kitchen several times. I've an hr after we ordered food arrived. Quality food just poorly prepared. The tables are falling apart not enough menus to go around

Blue water Bay was a good restaurant a long time ago.then it was a "sometimes good and sometimes bad" experience. Well, now it's a always bad experience". Our latest visit was so bad we're not going back. Four of us and only one was happy enough to eat the meal. Fish, steak and pork. One of the steak knives was imprinted " Texas Roadhouse". It's had it's day. The staff were very nice but nothing was special otherwise.

The gator tail should probably be taken off the entree list… very small portion (but we were warned!)

Don't order the chopped steak. It was burnt on top and covered with mushroom gravy that was so salty it was terrible. Had it recorded and took it home and wasn't burnt. The prime rib was tuff not tender. The fried oysters were to crispy. Not the same as last year. Service was excellent and waitress was very professional .
