Very attentive and friendly server. Excellent food and the best eggplant parmesan I've ever had. Highly recommend!
This long standing old school gem does not disappoint. All ingredients are fresh and delicious with impeccable friendly service. Whether it is a date night, dinner with friends or a perfect venue for a family celebration.
Great classic Italian food. Host and waiters were very friendly and knowledgable. Great experience!
Our favorite restaurant in Miami Beach! They haven't been in business for over 30 years for no reason.
A true neighborhood gem. Very good quality food and very consistently prepared. The staff is warm and friendly and so welcoming, whether you are a regular or you've sent in friends or family for dinner. Their steak and veal chop are an excellent value and the Milanese and cannellini bean side dish are total standouts. Cocktails are well made and generously sized too.
Prices on their website are much lower than in resturant. Had to send back calamari as it was undercooked. 2nd batch too tough. Asparagus 6 thin spears with melted cheese cold and greasy. Lobster ravioli with caviar missing caviar. Lamb chops special was very good. $60.00 five chops. Wine by glass decent pour but expensive. Server was excellent.
As always, great experience at reasonable prices. Big portions and great food. Can't beat this place for authentic Italian food.
Cafe Avanti is always excellent! Great service, great ambiance, and of course, great food choices and consistent excellent quality!!
Food is very Good. However, the staff is not engaging and staff runs in organized circles. Some older guy in jeans (owner?)and sneakers just roams around as we wait for menus and our server to be assigned. Maybe a Miami Beach thing but definitely not NYC
We went early and found the main dining room largely empty. In spite of that, we struggled to get a waiter's attention. Also surprising was the fact that the food came slowly given that there were very few other diners. The arugula salad was a little spicy but nicely presented and good. However, the Eggplant Rollatini and Spaghetti and Meatballs were mediocre. My wife thought the sauce on her eggplant was fine but I wasn't crazy about the sauce on my spaghetti and meatballs. Part of the problem may have been that they were understaffed. Having plenty of parking behind the rear entrance was a plus. By the time we left the place was packed with what appeared to be regular patrons, from the way they were greeted. So, they must be doing something right.

The service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our veal chops; they were well seasoned and delicious. My only complaint, if it is a complaint is that the calamari fritti was more chewy and less fried than we prefer. If we had Mortimer, we would definitely be back. Thank you!
Always a great experience at Avanti. Jesus is the best! The owner is always nice and welcoming. Food is consistently good.
Café Avanti is a great local restaurant . Big portions, tasty food and good service. Value is also excellent. Highly recommended for a family night out. PS, would be nice if they sold some local/fun beer– like IPA, etc.
It's a great local's place. The food is delicious, service is professional and friendly, ambience is nice. Perfect place to meet longtime friends and have a quiet evening.
If you're in Miami (mid beach/South Beach area to be exact) this a must stop restaurant for tremendous and authentic Italian food. Salads are excellent as well as the pasta bolognese. Large sized portions as well. Service is superior every time we visit this restaurant too. Haven't had a bad dining experience yet!
