“Truly remarkable. We enjoyed the 9-course tasting menu with the wine pairing and waygu enhancement, putting dinner at $375pp including tax and tip. Worth every penny. Our primary server, Gabriela, was fantastic although several other staff members delivered our dishes, including both managers and a member of the chef’s team. I enjoyed the variance as it allows one to meet several members of the staff. Of the nine wines there was one I didn’t care for so, when asked how I liked it and said, “not so much” it was immediately replaced with a choice between two fine wines. It’s in these moments you understand the staff are true professionals providing the best dining experience possible. Gabriela, or Gaby as she prefers to be called, is a true professional The only marks against is the dress code. One gentleman at the bar was in a T-shirt and a baseball cap. Later two gentleman sat at a high top near the door, both in baseball caps. Also, the bartender was wearing a tank-top with the back cutout, something one would expect at a beach bar. The stark contrast between she and the very smartly dressed manager, Jonathan Smith, in a suit and tie, was noticeable. I’m old school dining with my 94 year old father who is really old school so my critique of attire when we’re only here for dinner may seem displaced. My apologies. For anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience in Miami Beach I highly recommend Stubborn Seed. You will leave full and an experience you’ll remember forever”

The polenta dish is a total stunner.

Pasta pomodoro is a top 5 pomodoro of my life.

Service is always solid.

Cocktail program is very good plus they get drinks out pretty fast for an ambitious restaurant program.

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.”

Our waitress Elena came back and said they didn’t have any crepes or French toast. Asked for what I’d like instead, so I ordered a strawberry biscuit, and she told Mike she could see if they could do his French toast on regular bread. Took quite a while but eventually got our meals. Food was good and the waitress was great despite the problems that were beyond her control. We will go back again!”

The biggest plus is that they allow smoking inside the bar, which is hard to find these days! They also have a pool table and a jukebox for music. Just remember to bring cash for tips — plenty of $1 and $5 bills will come in handy! A great spot to unwind and enjoy a classic Miami dive bar experience.”

“Very nice casual sushi spot in Sunset Harbor, probably one of the best sushi restaurant in South Beach right now, sibling of Uchi Wynwood, but with more cooked options in the menu. Always very fresh fish, creative dish variations, excellent flavors pairing. I’ve never walked out dissatisfied. Now off season they have two happy hours, one regular in late afternoon and another one that starts st 9pm I believe, and the happy hour food selection is really good. Service is nice and fun. I only wish the space would have better indoor lighting and they would be open also for lunch.”

“Sunshine coffee was such a great way to start our morning! Great location close to the beach and many airbnbs. The workers are incredibly helpful and kind, the food was wonderful! Our favorite was the chocolate croissant which was deliciously flakey. The inside and outside is picturesque I’d definitely recommend trying them out if you’re in the area <3”

“Invited charmingly in by Lorenzo we had the best Naples style pizzas followed by a heavenly delicious Tiramisu created by Francesco himself. Il Pizzaiolo is truly authentic. I’ve been to Naples in Italy and confidently can state this experience was just as amazing as when I was in Italy. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food and dessert were amazing. The atmosphere totally had taken me back to Italia 🇮🇹🤌🏼 Highly recommend!”

“This was literally THE BEST vegan ice cream I’ve ever had! They have plenty of vegan friendly flavors, but the Vegan Banana Bread was AMAZING✨✨✨ Loved it so much. Staff was really kind and the place was small but nice and full of color!”

“Our waitress Berlin was on point with her recommendations! You will eat everything and be happy, lol! We had a kitchen tour with chef Luis Escalante and we were in awe about how the dishes are prepared. You can’t go wrong with literally anything, I’m a very picky eater and I loved everything! Don’t sleep on the Dates with Goat Cheese-eat the nuts inside. Salmon and Steak were our mains. Chocolate coupe (very rich and full of flavor with that kiss of cake at the end) and the soft serve swirl ended the night beautifully.”
