“A wonderful way to witness the history and evolution of black art from galleries selling iconic works from legends to new masterpieces from rising starts, supporting Art Basel is highly recommended. I recommend downloading the Basel app, making a schedule, and fitting time in for black art activations all around the city from TONE at NADA to PRIZM. Miami was originally founded by a wise woman, a railroad man, and a real-estate man Dana Albert Dorsey who was black and black stars are making people flock to the city still to this day. Magic ✧“

“Our favorite (splurge) beach bar by far!! Gorgeous garden patio right off the beach path with spectacular turquoise views. The food is wonderful--we especially appreciate that there's both a tuna poke and a tofu poke on offer (us vegetarians send our love to Chef Jose Andres!!). Both are incredible meals; delicious, healthy, and made with high-quality ingredients. The skewers are also a fabulous option.

“Last night I celebrated my birthday at Bouchon Bistro, one of my favorites in the Gables. I've been here countless times for happy hour and dinner, and even celebrated an anniversary here a few years ago, but last night was so very special.

Huge thank you to Natalie for helping organize everything, to our wonderful waitress Wendy, and to the entire team who made the evening feel so easy, warm and magical. The service was outstanding, the food was incredible as always, and the whole space has that perfect elegant but laid-back vibe.

Definitely one of the best spots in the Gables. Highly recommend.“

“We walked there in the evening and had a reservation which we booked about an hour before we arrived. The food and service were excellent, our waiter was very helpful and our drinks arrived quickly. It had a real feel of a french establishment and we started with a couple glasses of Sancerre. The flavor of the french onion soup was extremely well balanced and I highly recommend their pepper steak (au poivre) which is done with filet mignon. The cook on the steak was exactly what I asked for and you can tell the chef is precise and confident with all of the dishes. The atmosphere was pleasantly subdued, dim and had its own flair, you can tell the reason this place has been around so long is because they have a reputation for success. I think either the manager or the owner stopped by our table to check in on us as well, which we appreciated. We ordered their prawn special and my wife was thrilled with how it came out. I want to go back for some escargot and try their other dishes sometime.

“My second visit was even better than the first, which says a lot. The husband-and-wife owners are incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming—such a sweet French couple who make every visit feel special. I had the croque madame with smoked salmon, along with their coffee and café au lait, and everything was absolutely delicious. I also brought pastries home for my family, and they were such a hit that I had to come back for more. As someone who is French—and very picky—I can honestly say this place feels like my little corner of France. I live an hour away, but it’s worth every mile, and I’ll definitely be back often. If you’re looking for authentic French flavors and a wonderful experience, this is the place to go.“

“La Parisienne Bakery is a nice little spot. It’s not fancy, and the chairs aren’t the most comfortable, but if you’re looking for a simple, satisfying breakfast, it’s definitely worth a visit. The food is fresh, tasty, making it a place to start your day.
Only thing , sadly the coffee is terrible !
Recommended if you’re after good French style breakfast rather than luxury.“

“Nice place nested in a very walk-able area in Coral Gables. The croissants were GREAT! The manager let us try some of there fruit cake for the holidays and it was the best fruit cake I think I've ever had. Little pricey, worth the experience.“

“I just had what is probably the best burger Miami has to offer.

The bun was incredible, the meat was cooked to perfection, the caramelized onions had the perfect smoky flavor, and somehow the burger stayed together from the first bite to the last.

And the sauce? Out of this world.

The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious, rich, smooth, and comforting. The croissants were another highlight: perfectly flaky, buttery, and baked fresh every single day. Definitely a restaurant I recommend with ten stars. The staff was inviting and the ambience incorporated with the wonderful old time music made me feel I was at my mothers dining table. “I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place truly deserves one. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and very welcoming from the moment you walk in.

One thing that really stood out to me was the fresh orange juice, which is made right in front of you. The homemade lemonades are also fantastic. Nowadays, it’s becoming harder and harder to find places that actually make their own products instead of using premade ingredients, so I really appreciated the effort and quality behind everything they serve.

The team was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It was refreshing to see employees who seem happy to be there and take pride in what they do.

And if you visit, do yourself a favor and order the French Toast. It is an absolute must-try and one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely be back!“
