The chef came out to greet us as we perused the menu and asked us if we had any questions. Of course, it was too early to ask because we had just sat down, but I noticed he came out later in the evening too- and visited each table to chat with the guests. Who does that? Good French cuisine among the nearby Burgers, duck confit like at home and mussels with a surprising but nice parsley recipe, we had a great time. To do for compatriots wanting to rediscover the flavors of the old continent.

This modern Coconut Grove institution offers hearty dishes of classic French food with a slight Lyon-inspired spin on some dishes. The complementary champagne is a nice touch to offset the prices of each dish. To boot, the cluttered decor is a cozy simulacrum of French restaurants. The onion soup and beef bourguignon with noodles were standouts.
