“Had a light lunch at Cascade poolside at the Biltmore and it was fabulous. You can’t beat the beautiful location next to the pool. I ordered Shrimp Ceviche and a Stella. The ceviche was very fresh with bits of avocado, mango and jalapeño and lots of lime juice. It was very tart just the way I like it. The chips were fantastic with a sprinkling of Tejin—Spicy and crunchy. They were out of Stella on tap, so I had the can, which was fine, but not as good a the tap. The service was prompt and friendly. If the rest of the menu is a good as the Ceviche, you’re in luck!“
“We ate here recently with my in-laws and the food was excellent. I started with the beet salad, which had a small wedge of aged goat cheese in a walnut crust. For my main, I had the sea scallops which were fantastic. We shared a few desserts. The grand marnier souffle and chocolate souffle were yummy, but I liked the apple tart "tatin" best. The service from the front/host staff to the manager of this fine establishment was on point all the way to the waiter who attended us (unfortunately I did not catch names). I was greeted with a smile and they even took my purse and stored it away while we dined. The food was just incredibly delicious and we were given free pallet cleansers and take home cake compliments of the chef. I could tell the food was fresh and perfectly thought out by the chef. I can see why he is 2 star Michelin rated chef and this restaurant is crafted exquisitely for date nights. I was taking photos of the entire journey as I enjoy capturing every moment. “Cafe Pastis is a small quaint restaurant located in the sunset area. It is tucked away in a small unassuming old strip mall. We went here for a girl's night out birthday celebration. We ordered the French onion soup, veggie soup, muscles and grilled grouper dinner. The vegetable soup was AMAZING. It didn't have any dairy and was very flavorful. The grilled grouper was fresh - it came with vegetables and roasted potatoes. The wait staff was very nice and very attentive. We ordered two bottles of wine and they allowed us to taste the wine before purchasing the bottle. It was very reasonably priced. We're glad we came - everyone had a great time and it's so refreshing to discover new spots like this to enjoy with friends. Good food, good drinks, great company.“
“I came here last night with two friends to celebrate my upcoming birthday. I had wanted to come here for years and never been. Easy parking, lovely, dark cozy, atmosphere, and excellent service was provided by Miguel. The wines do have a hefty markup, but we were very happy with our California Chardonnay. They have an ongoing three course menu dinner special for $48 for three courses, which is an incredible bargain. Every course was superb, served nice and hot, no need for salt or pepper, so perfectly seasoned, and the soufflés for dessert were over-the-top outstanding. Cannot recommend it highly enough!“
