“We choose it for dinner based on the reviews but after our experience we agree that the rating is too high. The serving was mediocre, the mojito was served in a water glass. We ordered pizza for the kids and the salami was spicy, they couldn’t eat it- a heads up would have been mandatory in this case. Despite all that the paella was very tasty, and one is enough to serve 2 persons. The prices are in the average scale for Ocean Drive.“

“What a nice restaurant to have lunch! The atmosphere is so chill. The waitress millo deserves a raise! She’s so nice, friendly and attentive. She served me with a smile! I had curry goat, goat to me is a very interesting meat, you could either you could cook it right or you don’t, this place got it right so delicious, the seasoning is amazing, the meat is cook perfectly, the curry seasoning is just delicious. The rice, the plantains cook perfectly and they give a huge portion of food for the price! I definitely will come back, so yummy 😋“

“Omg!!! Oxtail meal was amazing!!!! Oxtail was tender and soft.. more importantly very flavorful!! Rice and peas was really good as well. Plantains very sweet.. Def recommend!!!! Customer service was good too. I asked for more gravy on the rice after I walked away and they did it, with no problem. Can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes.“

I visited The Nautilus caban pool last weekend and was blown away by the incredible atmosphere, top-notch service, and fantastic DJ music. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure every guest had everything they needed. Whether it was refreshing drinks, comfortable loungers, or quick towel service, the team went above and beyond to ensure a perfect day by the pool.

“The food was delicious. We ordered the spinach and Lima beans, with a side of collard greens and Pikliz. The oxtail with rice and beans. The meatball with a side of bulgur and spinach. Fried chicken, fried plantains and rice. Everything was amazing. I don’t have a picture of the oxtail, it was devoured in seconds. You Must try everything, it’s incredible. The packaging is like thin cardboard, so if you got anything wet, you best hurry, cause it’s going to leak through.“

“Best fried conch and shrimp ever. This is forever my place to go when I'm in town and want some seafood. The conch was tender not gummy or over cooked. The food was just delicious. The plate was overflowing, completely full of goodness. The French fries are lacking but the conch and shrimp makes up for it in abundance. “So I was coming home from an all day party, very late at night, and I was starving... stumbled on this Haitian food truck. I didn't speak French but the owner drove to the location to help provide service - super friendly guy. It was my first time having Haitian food and it hit the spot. Loved the griot and spicy coleslaw. The plantains are smashed and fried, somewhat thin crisps. Also came with rice and salad, all for $20. Just what I needed before a long drive home.“

“They had a $10 special. The meal came with stew, chicken rice, and beans. It was very delicious and flavorful. The rice was cooked perfect and the beans complimented the rice very well.

The only negative to the food was the portion, but I guess since it was $10 you get what you pay for.

“When it comes to getting authentic Haitian food, L'Auberge is a great place to go. Most people order take out. There is seating inside but if you go on a Sunday, then good luck. It gets very busy on Sundays after church (noon and beyond).“

“My husband and I dined in the El Mirador Restaurant and I would give 10 stars for the prompt and attentive service we received from our server Mery...and also Yan! The food was great and piping hot which was a great plus for us as we have found in other hotels that often our meal arrived lukewarm. This was not the case tonight! We both had the yellow rice with shrimp. It was spiced just enough to enhance the food but not overpowering. Dessert was the chocolate cake and it was yummy! Deep rich chocolate with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The menu variety was good in all categories with vegan options I noted. The view from our table was super...we could see the night lights coming in the distance in the area if Miami Beach. This hotel is 15 minutes drive from the VA Hospital in Miami and also the airport. It's a great location as it is very close to the interchange to get into I-95 and the beaches and elsewhere in Miami. Tonight was special in that it was also our 45th wedding anniversary. We had not expected to be in Miami and the VA hospital for this event in our lives but my husband had cataract surgery scheduled and it just worked out that way. It was a long and difficult day at the VA but the staff as I mentioned earlier Mery and Yan were so helpful and gracious to us 'old folks'...and provided service above and beyond.“

“It was phenomenal. Our first time experiencing Hells Kitchen dining from the entrance welcome, food that literally melts in your mouth to the ambiance. We were blown away. “A plus if you speak and understand espanol as that is the primary form of communication here. Stopped in the evening for a game of pool, they have 2 tables. Not a large place, but large enough for a small to 20ish person gathering, seemed like they just had beer, but at good prices $4 for a modelo and the service was fantastic. They treat you like family. Not a super large parking lot, so if you come at a busier time I think you might have to find on street parking.“

I like how they've updated their storefront but it still has an island feel to it, honoring the Bahamian influence of its start phase.
