“What a sweet and pleasant place!Simone has excellent customer service! How refreshing to visit an establishment and want to come again without even sampling the food!I came in for breakfast after grabbing a coffee but I ended up getting the Brown Stew chicken with Rice and Peas and it was so delicious and filling.Definitely a must try if you are in the area.“
“The food was amazing!! We stopped by because the food smelt incredible and they did not disappoint! We got the jerk chicken (which came out fresh), jerk fried rice, plantains, corn, a beef patty (incredible), and jerk mac and cheese (which was so creamy and also came with their jerk chicken baked into the mix). Everyone was friendly and the food compared to the other spots in the mall was super affordable. Worth every penny! Highly recommend! ♡“
“Everyone enjoyed the meal but me. I was looking forward to this lentil soup but it was too spicy to enjoy. The delivery was more than an hour late and it didn’t help with the atmosphere at the table, everyone was hungry and gobbled down the food. It was very expensive and overpriced , not suitable for group parties.“
“First time here so we ordered a little bit of everything . HANDS DOWN BEST GRITS I’ve ever had . Waffle hot and sweet and fluffy. Eggs were cooked perfect. Sausage a little too spicy (but would’ve been great later with peppers and onions on a hoagie roll!) and the potatoes - lord the potatoes! Perfect little off the beaten path spot. Did I mention the grits ???? Perfection !“
“Great experience overall!!! The staff was inviting and helpful. Definitely go when you get the chance!I got Griot with rice and beans, macaroni, and a side of the meatballs. Everything was amazing!! Very flavorful and savory! The limeade definitely exceeded my expectations.I will be telling everyone to come here :)“
“In town for a day and we were looking for a breakfast spot. Ended up seeing this place in the plaza with no wait time so we decided to have brunch. Yal! Brunch was a whole vibe! Good food, 90s R&B, mimosas, and great customer service. The oxtail and ackee was banging I just wish they put more ackee on the plate. The lamb chops were tender and flavorful. My mother-in-law had the chicken and waffles and that chicken was juicy and full of flavor. My 6 yr old had the avocado toast. Everything was good including the St. Patty's mimosas. We will definitely come back the next time we are in town.“
“Got there early, or so I thought!. 11:10 there were ALREADY at least 25 people in line! But now I see why. The service was EXCELLENT. I got My food in less than 10 minutes... At first I thought that I got the wrong order because there was SO MUCH food on the plate! For under $30 I got 5 bones, 2 1/2 pieces of chicken, and about a pound of pork. I am not from The South Florida area so I have VERY little experience with Jerk but Chef Tally has created a GREAT flavor that needs NO sauce! (Which by the way is delicious!)I didn't try any of the sides or desserts but from what I saw they looked good so next time I will see how they hittin. If you are in the N. Miami, S. Lauderdale area Chef Tally's is a MUST!!!“
“I literally told everyone I know about this place, the food is so good— meat is fall off the bone and so tender!!! The Jerk Pork was full of flavour and the salt fish fritters got me addicted ? please check this place out, my large serving lasted me for 3-4 days! The service is excellent and the owners of the restaurant are so sweet and generous!! GOOD VALUE FOR GOOD FOOD!!! ????“
“This place has some of the best soup I’ve tasted in a long time!!!! Tuesday- red peas soup Wednesday- Beef Soup Thursday-Chicken soup $10 for large $6 for small. The patties and the cocoa bread are nice too small spot right behind the corner store on 193rd and 441“
“Holy cow!! Sacre Bleu! This is an outstanding Haitian restaurant. Truly the best out of the 4 I’ve tried here in Miami/ Fort Lauderdale. The food is fresh, delicious and full of flavor. I ordered the Griot, Diri rice, fried palintain, baked beef meat pies and fresh soursop juice. Everything was really incredible, down to the fried plaintain. I wil be back again and again. If you love Haitian Food this is certainly worth a visit. Also spectacular service! The lady who rang us up was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is a wonderful spot.“
“We came here for some good Jamaican food and Reggae Roots did not disappoint. The restaurant was nice and clean and the service was out of this world. The biggest thing to me that stood out was the service my husband and I was treated as family not just vacationers. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and I especially loved the conversation very attentive to their customers. 10 out of 10 for me we will definitely be back when we are in the area. Oh and the food was fresh and hot. Beef patties and cocoa bread and oxtail plate on point full flavor.“
“12/30/23 8:30pm We arrived after the peek dinner rush and were able to get right in. Our Waiter was great. Clam Chowder and Appetizers were Great with generous portions. We had Octopus and bacon wrapper scallops. Great Garlic bread. Main entrees were spot on and again generous portions. We had Jambalaya and the lobster pasta. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. Had Key lime pie for dessert and that completed a great dinner. Prices were very reasonable and the serving time was perfect with no delays between courses. Definetly worth the drive from the beach resort (14 mins) easy parking. Casual Fun atmosphere. Its a Keeper!“
“Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend for anyone interested in this type of food. Coming from Puerto Rico, the Mofongo and the Empanadas were the best i’ve tried in the area. The service was excellent, a very efficient staff, owner was very friendly, and chef is very experienced. Definitely will be returning without a doubt.“
“I haven't had food from Golden Krust in a long time. There was a quiet ambiance at the Oakland Park location as I entered. With adequate table seating, this location offered: * a variety of fresh patties/pastries/bread & buns * breakfast dishes/combo meals * pasta/soups/sides * cold beverages * lunch specials I was greeted by a female employee who dished out my order of brown stew chicken into a carry out container. It was served with rice & peas, steamed vegetables, and fried plantains. She also added enough sauce to the rice. The food looked delicious and tasted good as well. The chicken was nicely browned and was tender. The rice & peas was cooked to a soft consistency and had a peppery kick. The veggies was tender and flavorful, while the plantains was sweet. Gotta make time to visit Golden Krust more often to try their other dishes.“
“I felt transported to Trinidad from the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant. I happened to visit on a very crowded Saturday afternoon and was in a rush, so I couldn’t wait for the kitchen to make roti, but I had the chance to try the doubles. These were perfectly made and come two to an order. Thankfully, I was splitting the meal because one double is plenty. I opted for everything on top and slight pepper - that came out perfectly. For an entree, I shared the curry goat and rice (the kitchen was out of roti at the time) with dal. The curry goat was piping hot, tender, and seasoned well. We happened to nab a table just as some folks were leaving. It was so nice to see a wide variety of people at the restaurant. I am already looking forward to my next visit!“
“I'm lovin' it! The atmosphere is on point! Hospitality is awesome. The are very attentive. I love the flavors. I'm from Louisiana and currently live Texas. This homely feeling is what I've been missing. Who would of thought, that I would have gotten this in Miami. OMG! Man this is awesome. The music! It's everything! This place so loved.?“
“Today was my first time, I ordered a Jerk chicken meal, since I moved to Florida I have tasted so many Jerk chicken, this is the first place who knows and kept their Jamaican recipe, it was finger delicious ( might no be a word) but that how I describe it, well marinated with the jerk spice, even they gave me the extra jerk sauce, I didn’t even need it, that’s well made the dish was, so I gave the chef a 5 ⭐️, so anyone who want a great Jerk chicken should go there, even all of us might have our taste (spicy or none spicy) I believe you will like and don’t forget you need either water or one Jamaican ginger beer to cool it down. I will go back to taste the other dish on the menu, will keep you posted! Enjoy!“
“Top Tier Restaurant and Lounge is awesome. Had lunch there the other day and it was excellent. The steam fish was excellent with rice and peas and bami. It was very good. Service is great and the owners are terrific. The best part is they offer evening events which offer a fun great atmosphere. Top Tier is a fitting name!!!!“
“If you’re looking for the best island food in town this is the spot. They offer so much variety, Best Jamaican food I’ve ever tried down south. They also offer catering definitely a must have at your next party event. I had the oxtail dinner and it was just amazing ? if I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Definitely coming back for more!“
“This is clearly one of the coolest place to eat in the region. Every time I come to this place I am deeply pleased. They manage their very high level service and the topmost level of cooking they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant.“
“I really do love Donnas restaurant because the food is simply delicious. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food that will tickle your tastebuds the moment you enter, and have you coming back for more.... And how can I forget the staff. They are simple courteous people who are always willing to serve. If you really want some great Caribbean food with great service....Donnas is the place I recommend. I eat at University drive, N State Road 7, 12th.Street, and Coral Springs...Please don't judge me. I cook in my own kitchen...but Donnas is my favorite eat out option for all the good reasons I've suggested.“
“I took my nephew out for "breakfast" he chose Carribean and this was close to my house. The moment we stepped into the restaurant we could smell deliciousness! The manager was right there to greet us. My nephew inquired about every food item, the manager was more than happy to help, even giving us some samples. I do not like Caribbean yet I ordered the cabbage and rice and beans along with taking the chicken soup home. My nephew could not stop smiling and stating how good the food was. I tried his chicken curry and added the curry gravy to my rice, both were delicious and I now like curry! A lovely girl assisted us with getting their amazing rolls to take home. I, we will be back. PS I appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant as well, big plus in my book!Vegetarian options: There is a acai dish with an assortment of vegetables, spicy but very tasty. There is salad, delicious, cabbage, vegetable platter, fish and soupsDietary restrictions: I can not eat meat, the rice and beans, cabbage and soup was perfect for me. My nephew eats meat.“
“Stopped in for lunch on a recommendation from the nearby medical offices. Really glad I did. Carmen had a great suggestion for me -- the curry goat dish. It was delicious! The chef, Adi, knows what he is doing. I couldn't help but order a pineapple and ginger juice to go with it and I am glad I did. Overall just a fantastic place to eat. Will be stopping by again.“
“Maaannnn..... Listen, I ordered the griot and I must say.... that was the closest to how my grandma makes griot. Food was fresh and on point. Only thing that was a concerning was the piklis... it wasn't that spicy and still in the fermented stage.“
“My family and I traveled to Miami for a mini vacation, we went to Ft. Lauderdale to visit and found this amazing restaurant. It’s call the “Peoples Choice” and it has amazing Jamaican cuisine. It’s a must to visit! When we visit again from Indianapolis, Indiana, we will definitely be back for an awesome meal. The owners we great people!“
“LISTEN this not Dutchpot nor Donnas this real Authentic Jamaican food. Everything down to the sauce, gravy, cabbage, jerk chicken and rice was sooooo . Even the homemade lemonade, like it was just so refreshing. As if the food alone is not already bomb, the employees are so friendly and welcoming. The store is very clean and just homey. 10/10 recommend it. Trust me imma foodie go try it.“
“Very good service, good menu … not overly extensive. Food was very good quality all around. They know how to prepare home fries and their omelets are top-notch. She made the experience perfect. She brought out the food all at the same time and brought us anything we asked for. Would definitely come back to this place! The pasta and pizza are delicious! The breakfast menu is equally varied. I could have ordered at least 6 items on the menu. The service is great, prices are reasonable. The dining room and restrooms are clean and well maintained. Two thumbs up and 5 stars“
“This is the most amazing food! Classic hole on the wall restaurant I found by accident when visiting my girlfriend with amazing food and variety. Ms Chelly's is the friendliest person you will ever meet. I am used to high end places and almost didn't go Inside when I saw the place, but never judge a book by its cover! I am so glad I found this place.“
“Great Place, Great Vibes. A must visit. I'm from NYC stayed in Miami for 6days, but traveled to Ft. Lauderdale everyday for Lunch n dinner just to eat @ Joy's. It's hard to find Home cooked food, but joys is a JOY to eat @. 100% Approved!!!“
“Real island vibe , food is made fresh to order , perfect amount of salt fresh juices, garlic conch ,curry conch , fish tea and bammy . It feels like I’m still in Jamaica! I’m definitely coming back . They also do vegetarian dishes, I didn’t think the wait was long for appetizers we had the soup., and just lymed with my bff , other people were there enjoying a beer while they waited they did not seem stressed. Keep the good food coming Coconutz !“
“Came here as a tourist for the jazz concert and needed something good and flavorful to eat. The food ambience and service were good.I was only in Florida for 3 days and I ended up eating here everyday. Since I couldn't find anything near the stadium that looked good. (Once at the table and twice at the bar...Bar service is quicker)Side notes: The food could be a little spicier but I think they play it safe for the tourist and They could have more vegetarian options. I do enjoy fish every now and then. But I had to eat it everyday since there was no other option. Also I noticed when I sat at he table the bartender was also our waiter (reason why I chose to sit at the bar my last 2 days) our waiter was nice but he seemed annoyed at times understandable so because he was being overworked. But other than that I was happy and would visit again.“
“Destiny was amazing. She greeted us as we entered and was patient with us as we were ordering. All of the staff we encountered, friendly and courteous. We ordered the chicken and fries. My second favorite spot that is not in the Bahamas. If you are ever in town, check them out.“
“I loved this place and the employee that served us. She was polite, kind and had a smile that could melt the coldest ice cream. The flavors are decadent and have a sweetness that brings memories of your childhood with your cousins at your grandma's house. My favorite was the bun and cheese and i can't wait to get a full pint.“
“This place was nice and clean inside and the food taste good and fresh! Most of all was the service. I feel like customer service these days is hard to come around but here the service was on point! I will def be coming back with friends and family.“
“My mum, fiancé and I met here for dinner. The weather was great so we opted for a table on their large outdoor patio area. There’s quite a few tables, but usually is packed.Luckily we were seated quickly. It’s quite busy here for dinner most nights so big parties make a reservation!!Shared the coconut shrimp appetizer and they were delish! The Crunchy, coconut sweetened shrimp with the flavorful dipping sauce were so good!!I had the Jerked Shrimp Pineapple Bowl and it was SOOO yummy! The pineapple, peppers and jerked shrimp were the perfect trifecta of savory, sweet and mildly spicy. The rice was somewhat sticky which I liked for this dish. It’s a hearty portion so enough for 2 meals for me.I tried the Bruno's Smash Hit cocktail (Maker’s Mark is my fave). It was refreshing and light, but definitely has a kick.Service was pretty good and food was delivered quickly. Only suggestion I have is to do something about the lighting on the patio. Unsure if the fans blocking the lights as they spin or what, but the lighting was like a yellowed strobe light which was a bit of an annoyance and made my poor mum feel dizzy for the first part of the meal.Still like this location and would recommend!Parking: Tons of parking available. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza so there’s ample parking available.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of wheelchair accessible seating available. Both entrances are also wheelchair accessible.“
“Love this place so far. I’ve ordered pick twice and my experience both times were great. I got the jerk pasta which was a bit on the spicy side, but delicious. The flavors stick to your tongue. I also ordered the fry chicken and that gravy (sauce) on the side makes the meal for me. Please support this restaurant. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.“
“I thoroughly enjoy my visits to this restaurant. It consistently offers a clean and inviting atmosphere, with the added perk of shorter waiting times compared to other places. The pricing and portion sizes are reasonable, striking a great balance. However, what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional customer service. From the warm smiles when you walk in to the genuine gratitude expressed when you leave, the staff goes above and beyond. I highly recommend paying them a visit, and don't forget, they're an excellent choice for catering needs as well!“
“This place is GREAT! The service and hospitality is perhaps the best thing about the establishment! The women who I always see when I come in are kind and pleasant and always jovial! The food is DELICIOUS! I regularly come in for the curry and jerk chicken combination plate! The plantains are some of the BEST, they are made the right way! The cabbage and rice and peas are also delicious! The proportions are HUGE- you will not be hungry afterwards! They also make a Rum Cake that is DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS! Prices are VERY reasonable! This is one of the best Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to whether in south FL or on the Island itself! Highly recommend!“
“Was too glad when a fellow Virgin Islander told us about this place. We sure weren't disappointed. I'm still dreaming about that soursop juice. By far the best I've ever had. Food was so good that we ate here 2x during a 1 week trip. Great customer service as well. I enjoyed on day one a plate of mutton with peas and rice and baked macaroni and of course my soursop juice. Left there with a delicious lemon cake made from scratch. Next visit I had the saltfish with rice and spinach. My mother had oxtail for both visits along with passion fruit. This time I drank passion mixed with ginger beer. I saw pates, Johnny cake, fried chicken wings, vita malt, historical pictures and beautiful pics of home. It was comforting. We were not disappointed at all. Real food not dry fast food. Thank you for your service.“
“Omggg !Listen to me !I’ve been looking for good tasty seafood for a while & buck up this restaurant and I promise you from the service , to the reasonable prices, to the taste of the food down to the bone ? wow this place is customer friendly, great service & AMAZING dishes . So much to choose from get here if you’re looking for a good fish in south Florida .“
“The service was good and the staff was nice. First Haitian restaurant I’ve been to with no attitude. The food was fresh and delicious. Definitely a place that I’d try again. I had the griot with rice and plantains. My sister had the tassot Turkey. Very good “
“Let's talk about authentic. The atmosphere...is just like those chill spots back home in Jamaica. The food....the chicken..the pork.. the CONCH. Amazing. Well seasoned to the bone. No knock off oven jerk.. REAL outside.. on the grill Jerk. You won't regret it. Go Jerk...Keep it up. So far you have the BEST jerk in Miami“
“My dad and I came here to get some Panamanian food, and we were very happy with the "frituras." they even had bofe and cow foot soup. The ladies at the shop were super nice. Jasmine / Miss Bonne did an excellent job making us feel welcome and also suggesting some of the Trinidadian food. The "doubles" street food was very good. My favorite thing was the ginger pineapple juice ? it was on point a must-have. We will definitely be back for more. The prices were very reasonable. The music selection was also great. A hidden gem a must say. Make your way here and leave feeling like you were just in Panamá.“
“This is MALCOLM from TOTAL AC & APPLIANCES. I was introduced to this place by coworkers. Love At "first meal".Doreen We Will Always Love you. Lunch specials are GREAT you name it they have itJamaican Cuisine. Great Staff. I highlyrecommend Delores Restaurant And Pub.“
“As always, there was a line, but the ladies who work there are quick in packing and serving. The food is always delicious!Vegetarian options: veggie patties and cabbage as a side itemParking: Plenty of parking in front of Hammonds and all around it.“
“Chef Roy food is truly amazing, I’ve followed him everywhere he’s gone for years, his boneless snapper fishes makes it so easy to eat. His food is well seasoned and gives an authentic taste no matter what you order. Everything is cooked to order and fresh. I’d definitely recommend to stop by and see for yourself.“
“The chef there is very talented. Every time I go there I order something new, just cause I know he's not going to let me down with his talent. Went during lunch hours, sat at the bar, had a few drinks, listened to some music, and watched some TV. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. I heard at night it's a nice lounge hangout spot.“
“Hands down the best wings me and my family had in a long time . This is our second time we came and it was another perfect experience. Wings are cooked to perfection . Great choices in sauces . Love the season fries . First time we had the traditional wings and we loved them . This go around we had the boneless wings and still the same great results . This is our new family spot“
