“I really do love Donnas restaurant because the food is simply delicious. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food that will tickle your tastebuds the moment you enter, and have you coming back for more.... And how can I forget the staff. They are simple courteous people who are always willing to serve. If you really want some great Caribbean food with great service....Donnas is the place I recommend. I eat at University drive, N State Road 7, 12th.Street, and Coral Springs...Please don't judge me. I cook in my own kitchen...but Donnas is my favorite eat out option for all the good reasons I've suggested.“
“I took my nephew out for "breakfast" he chose Carribean and this was close to my house. The moment we stepped into the restaurant we could smell deliciousness! The manager was right there to greet us. My nephew inquired about every food item, the manager was more than happy to help, even giving us some samples. I do not like Caribbean yet I ordered the cabbage and rice and beans along with taking the chicken soup home. My nephew could not stop smiling and stating how good the food was. I tried his chicken curry and added the curry gravy to my rice, both were delicious and I now like curry! A lovely girl assisted us with getting their amazing rolls to take home. I, we will be back. PS I appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant as well, big plus in my book!Vegetarian options: There is a acai dish with an assortment of vegetables, spicy but very tasty. There is salad, delicious, cabbage, vegetable platter, fish and soupsDietary restrictions: I can not eat meat, the rice and beans, cabbage and soup was perfect for me. My nephew eats meat.“
“Staff very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the ocean view is very pleasant every time I have eaten there .the only thing I would like for people to leave their dogs at home . They do not belong where people go out to have a meal and drinks without having a misbehaved dog is these people cannot afford to have someone watch them over for an hour or two while they eat dinner out and then he shouldn’t have dogs. It should be succumbing to the rules who are larger to them. We need to stop this.“
“This place is GREAT! The service and hospitality is perhaps the best thing about the establishment! The women who I always see when I come in are kind and pleasant and always jovial! The food is DELICIOUS! I regularly come in for the curry and jerk chicken combination plate! The plantains are some of the BEST, they are made the right way! The cabbage and rice and peas are also delicious! The proportions are HUGE- you will not be hungry afterwards! They also make a Rum Cake that is DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS! Prices are VERY reasonable! This is one of the best Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to whether in south FL or on the Island itself! Highly recommend!“
“I ordered through Uber eats never heard about this place before so I wanted to come here and give a proper review. I ordered the jerk chicken and it was delicious. It taste as though it came off the pan (grill) which made it all the more delicious. I will be trying more items from this restaurant in the future.“
“My wife and I had a great lunch here. Food was amazing, service outstanding - Thank you Patrick! In fact the entire staff went above and beyond to make the meal great. They had a very tasty menu. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and my wife had the parpanelle pasta dish which we both enjoyed. Good selection of beers on draft as well. Highly recommendedKid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, we didn’t have kids with us but other patrons did“
“My family and I traveled to Miami for a mini vacation, we went to Ft. Lauderdale to visit and found this amazing restaurant. It’s call the “Peoples Choice” and it has amazing Jamaican cuisine. “Relax Inn Restaurant I love eating there I barely eat McDonald's Burger King Wendy's Haitian food that was the other two restaurants that I would eat because it's not processed food it settle in your stomach where you don't have to eat the rest of no more today“
“My nose is running right now... that means they got the pikliz RIGHT! Lol! I'm a lover of Haitian food and I moved to homestead where it's been a feat to find any good Haitian restaurants. So I had to jump on the chance to find some while I was up north in Sunrise. Haitian restaurants can be hit or miss because it's homemade and every one has their own way of cooking but my number way to rate a Haitian spot is with the pikliz! I must say I am glad I bought a jar! Which is another tell tale sign that their food is good. If the pikliz comes in a jar, it's in high demand and I definitely see why theirs is. It's soo good. Not overly seasoned or too spicy. It's just right! Enough about the pikliz lol. I ordered Tasso Cabrit complete which is the fried goat meal with Djon Djon rice which is mushroom rice. It comes with a salad, 2 banan which is fried green plantain, two sauces, and a small pikliz. Now I did end up throwing the salad away and making my own. The romaine lettuce was a bit brown and wilted but I didn't mind that too much. The goat was really good. Some of the pieces weren't so tender but they weren't too hard that I could t enjoy it. I just know I can't warm this up. The Djon Djon rice was really good especially since I haven't had it in a while. It wasn't greasy and it had veggies in it but very little. I came across a couple kernels of corn and peas but no beans were in the rice. Which is fine, like I said every Haitian restaurant is different. The ones in homestead use pinto beans! I appreciated that authentic flavor for sure. Even without the beans. The banan were a bit soft which I also liked. I don't like when they're old and too hard to even bite. I didn't use the sauce but they give you two so they get a thumbs up for going the extra mile. Finally, I called in to order and the gentleman on the phone was nice and professional. It took us about 7 minutes to get there. We waited an extra few minutes in the car and when we went in to get the food it was ready. So it took about 10 minutes. Which is fast compared to some places. It's located in a plaza. The plaza looks a bit shifty lol but the inside of Coco's is nice and they had good customer service here. Overall I recommend this place. Especially if you're new to eating Haitian cuisine. I'm not Haitian but I fell in love with it years ago and I've missed it sooo much. Coco's definitely hit the spot and cured my cravings. Highly recommended! The next time I'm in the area I'll be returning to try the turkey!“
“We came here for some good Jamaican food and Reggae Roots did not disappoint. The restaurant was nice and clean and the service was out of this world. The biggest thing to me that stood out was the service my husband and I was treated as family not just vacationers. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and I especially loved the conversation very attentive to their customers. 10 out of 10 for me we will definitely be back when we are in the area. Oh and the food was fresh and hot. Beef patties and cocoa bread and oxtail plate on point full flavor.“
