“Superb service. Very friendly and helpful staff helped us figure out what to order and explained the dishes and combinations. All of the food was delicious. Suggest you order ahead of time since it does take quite a while for the food to be cooked, but that's good since it means the food is so fresh and cooked to order.“
“The food in this place is delicious! I have ordered multiple items on the menu and they have not disappoint! They have one of the best haitian mac and cheese I have ever eating. And they are super friendly and great customer service! I highly recommend!“
“Yesterday, February 1, 2024, was my first time experiencing "Island Fusion Cusine," and it was the best Griot I ate from a haitian restaurant ever since my grandma can no longer cook anymore. The Griot was tender, juicy, and tasty. And I'm back again for more the next day. Hopefully, they can keep up the same quality that have me writing a whole book about their restaurants. I haven't tried any other meal yet, I will in the near future. Hands down the best Haitian Restaurants in Pompano if not the whole Broward County.“
“We financed the purchase of our first home through Mrs LLisa Codwelland had such a great experience that we’ve since refinanced with her twice. MRS LLisa Codwelland her team are fantastic! They make the process easy to understand, walked us through each step, and kept us informed along the way. They’re professional yet warm and friendly, and we wouldn’t trust the process with anyone else!“
“Went here with my wife on one of those days you just don't feel like cooking. I ordered the jerk chicken while my wife ordered one each of the chicken and beef meat patty. The chicken was absolutely perfect, with just the right amount of spices for me and came with rice and beans. There was SO MUCH food that there was no way it could be finished in one night, and the price was extremely affordable. My wife enjoyed her meat patties and loved the curry seasoning in one and the mild flavor of the other. The two women who waited upon us were such wonderful people. Their smiles were natural and infectious. I am super anxious to get back there and try the ox-tail or the goat curry, but I'm not sure about one of their other menu items, the goat head soup, lol!“
“I love grace bakery!!! Since I was in haiti I loved Pâté kodé I came to the US and been looking for 20 years to find a place that makes it how I like it!!! And Grace bakery never disappoints! Very professional! I love the staff! More importantly I love my Pâté kodé with a cold cola couranne :)“

“My old coworkers always raved about this place so 15 years later I finally got a chance to visit. We were a party of 6 on Presidents' Day for lunch. The place is located in a strip mall facing Cypress Road. It's on the smallish side. The hostess had us wait about 15 minutes while our table was prepared. There are some chairs out front for this purpose. My daughter and I split the fish and chips. My dad ordered the fish roti. Judging by his longing gaze at my fish and chips, I quickly traded with him. The fish was bland but the roti with the curry base and bits of soft potatoes was very filling and tasty! My teenage son ordered the cheese burger and fries and wolfed it down with a root beer. There is a bar with a variety of domestic and imported draft beers on tap. My mom ordered a pint of Bud Light but it was too much for her to finish. The highlight of the menu (IMHO) is the homemade desserts. We all split a caramel cheesecake, a flan and a double coconut pie. Delicious! Our server was a college-age young man who is service oriented and friendly. Two thumbs up! BUT... If you are in a hurry to get a quick bite to eat this is definitely not the place. We were seated for 2 hours. If you have the time and the money, Calypso is an authentic old Florida establishment that is well worth the visit.“
