“Soul Food meets Caribbean and a delicious combo it is! This has been one of our favorite restaurants, since a friend recommended it. We were there last Saturday with a group of eight and returned today with a group of eleven. The food is so delicious, it made it difficult not to place orders to go.“

“Went at a time, around 1PM on a Saturday. The line was not long so was served quickly. It took less than 5 minutes from the time I placed my order until it was delivered to me. The servers were courteous and served with a smile. The only draw back that day, I tried ordering on line, but the website was down.“

Service was ok. 2 girls up front, one had her head and arms on the cash register as she was ready to nap. I was handed my order and thanked the girl, but she didn't even respond. its really a shame you can't find friendly help, especially when the food is good.“

“Found this spot on google. We came in with a large party at night right before closing. The staff were very pleasant. Food was amazing!! Ate every bit of it., We ordered just about everything on the menu. And boy … did they deliver!! You get a good amount of food. It came out hot and fresh. The price is very reasonable! I almost forgot the fresh squeezed juice was superb!! I love an authentic mama and papa joint!! I would definitely recommend this place!!“

We ordered a Brown Stew Chicken which had an incredible flavor, and you can't help but admire the prices😳 They don't even exist in a Chinese restaurant, no wonder there are lines of people buying their food at this place; that's why my husband and I have come to the conclusion: it's useless if the place has spectacular or extraordinary decor, if what will convince you is the flavor of their dishes. “My family and I traveled to Miami for a mini vacation, we went to Ft. Lauderdale to visit and found this amazing restaurant. It’s call the “Peoples Choice” and it has amazing Jamaican cuisine. I stopped in wanting something hearty and quick, and even though the line was surprisingly long for such a small place, the wait was absolutely worth it. The energy inside was incredible!
The woman serving everyone was truly a standout — handling a nonstop line with the biggest smile, so positive, so polite, and making every single person feel welcome. People like that make you want to come back, and trust me…I will! I’m definitely getting her name next time.

“Just tried Peppa Seed Jamaican Restaurant and I gotta say—they did their thing 🔥

The curry goat was tender, flavorful, and cooked right. No toughness at all. The rice & peas and steamed veggies were on point too—everything paired together real nice. I also grabbed a side of fried chicken, and that was hitting as well… crispy, seasoned right, no complaints there.

Only thing I’d say—make sure y’all pull them feathers off the chicken. That’s something small but important.

Other than that, solid experience. I’ll definitely be back. Honestly… it’s way better than Dutch Pot & Donna’s in my opinion 👀“

“We were visiting Fort Lauderdale and wanted some Jamaican food so I was told that Donna's Caribbean restaurant sells Jamaican food and was quiet please. I purchased the king fish and curry goat dinners and the rest of my guess got Ox tail dinner and stew chicken.“

“While the patty is Good as hell‼️ is there anyway u guys can maybe put a little sink where your workers can wash their hands before touching the bag the patty goes into? Also the utensils that are used to take up the patties it’s just laying out on the open counter with patty crumbs all over the counter when I walked in the old guy that was serving before he helped us we notice he was handling other things and touching the dirty surfaces….but he did not even use hand sanitizer to clean his hands before handling our food“

“This was my second visit to The Dutch Pot Restaurant in Miami Gardens Fort Lauderdale, and it won’t be my last! The true gem of this place is the staff. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine, friendly interaction between the staff and customers – no impatience or condescension, just warm and welcoming service. It’s rare to find such a personable atmosphere! The food was, as always, incredible. I had the curried goat, which was perfectly spiced and tender, and the oxtail was rich and flavorful. Both dishes were spot-on! To top it off, we were given a tour of the newly opened, exclusive upstairs dining area (pictures to come!), which looks fantastic. Kudos to the owners for continuously elevating the dining experience here. Overall, this is a fantastic business that deserves to be replicated – amazing food, a welcoming team, and a beautifully designed space.
