“Went at a time, around 1PM on a Saturday. The line was not long so was served quickly. It took less than 5 minutes from the time I placed my order until it was delivered to me. The servers were courteous and served with a smile. The only draw back that day, I tried ordering on line, but the website was down.“

“I called last Tuesday evening to get information about catering for an event this past Sunday. I spoke with Tasha. I must say she came across so kind and caring. I gave her my proposed menu, number of expected guests and the time that I would need the food. Tasha kindly helped me with refining the menu and I placed the order. I went to the restaurant Wednesday to pay for my catering. Although Tasha was off that day she had left details of my order with her coworkers which facilitated any easy payment. Later I had to add a few more people and without any problems Tasha again facilitated my additions and advised that I could just pay for the added meals on Sunday when I picked up my original order. Sunday arrives and I arrive a few minutes early for my pick-up. I had to wait a few minutes for my food because they were still making everything fresh and hot. Again the young lady helping me could not have been more helpful. My food was delicious and plenteous. All of my guest raved about how much food and how good it was. Most of my guest were not used to West Indian cuisine. They LOVED everything. To illustrate that they all took plates home with them. Thanks to Coconutz the event was an overwhelming success. Special thanks to Tasha and the entire crew for all of your help. I highly recommend this quality establishment. The price is great for the quality and quantity of food. I would not hesitate to use them again.“

“I went to this restaurant based on the reviews. The first impression was that the meat lace was clean. The people were friendly. I wasn’t sure about some of the options and the offered a free taste. I went last minute after coming from a wake and wanted to feed a good amount of people. The food was excellent. Everyone wanted to know where the food came from. Finger licking good.“

“I have been to this restaurant twice and had the jerk chicken with rice and peas (and oxtail gravy). Both times were excellent! The food is cooked fresh and is flavorful and delicious. The staff is very friendly. They make you feel at home. The atmosphere is nice and comfy. Just people sitting, conversing, and enjoying good food. I will definitely come back again and try something different on the menu. That jerk chicken is hard to resist, though!“

“The authentic Jamaican breakfast was very tasty. The woman at the counter has an attitude. Only had fruit smoothies and it was below average. No other ingredients available. They just took frozen Walmart fruits and water n blended it could have done that myself for 10 dollars.“

“My family and I traveled to Miami for a mini vacation, we went to Ft. Lauderdale to visit and found this amazing restaurant. It’s call the “Peoples Choice” and it has amazing Jamaican cuisine. “My family and I love trying new flavors from different places, so we decided to try this little place called: which is located on W. Commercial Blvd. and 441st Street in a large shopping plaza. The place is small, simple, but with an incredible flavor, WOW! We ordered a Brown Stew Chicken which had an incredible flavor, and you can't help but admire the prices😳 They don't even exist in a Chinese restaurant, no wonder there are lines of people buying their food at this place; that's why my husband and I have come to the conclusion: it's useless if the place has spectacular or extraordinary decor, if what will convince you is the flavor of their dishes. We will definitely return! Ahhh, not to mention that the service is very pleasant, the prices incredible, and the food sufficient and delicious. Why aren't these places as well-known? For their humble decor? Don't be fooled by the decor of the establishment or the dishes, focus on the flavor, which is what really counts.“
