“The food was delicious. We ordered the spinach and Lima beans, with a side of collard greens and Pikliz. The oxtail with rice and beans. The meatball with a side of bulgur and spinach. Fried chicken, fried plantains and rice. Everything was amazing. I don’t have a picture of the oxtail, it was devoured in seconds. You Must try everything, it’s incredible. The packaging is like thin cardboard, so if you got anything wet, you best hurry, cause it’s going to leak through.“

“So I was coming home from an all day party, very late at night, and I was starving... stumbled on this Haitian food truck. I didn't speak French but the owner drove to the location to help provide service - super friendly guy. It was my first time having Haitian food and it hit the spot. Loved the griot and spicy coleslaw. The plantains are smashed and fried, somewhat thin crisps. Also came with rice and salad, all for $20. Just what I needed before a long drive home.“

“They had a $10 special. The meal came with stew, chicken rice, and beans. It was very delicious and flavorful. The rice was cooked perfect and the beans complimented the rice very well.

The only negative to the food was the portion, but I guess since it was $10 you get what you pay for.

“The food here is very good and the servers are so kind. The only thing that I really didn't like is that they don't really check up on you until you are completed with your meal. The area is so beautiful but I think it is in a strange spot because it is in the lobby of the Marriott. The Hurricane Drink that I had was not mixed well and it had WAY too much alcohol in it and not a good mix of everything else. My husband had the burger and he said it honestly isn't anything to write home about and I ended up with the alfredo which really wasn't that bad at all. Would I recommend this place? Maybe if you were in a hurry and didn't want to leave the hotel. Otherwise it honestly is just average.“

“A plus if you speak and understand espanol as that is the primary form of communication here. Stopped in the evening for a game of pool, they have 2 tables. Not a large place, but large enough for a small to 20ish person gathering, seemed like they just had beer, but at good prices $4 for a modelo and the service was fantastic. They treat you like family. Not a super large parking lot, so if you come at a busier time I think you might have to find on street parking.“

I like how they've updated their storefront but it still has an island feel to it, honoring the Bahamian influence of its start phase. The cashier was hospitable, but remember since you're awaiting fresh cooked food to have a bit of patience.“

Stopped by Island Chicken Grill while passing through MIA and had such a great experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — a real taste of the Caribbean right in the airport. What truly made my visit special was Dagnay’s amazing service. She was friendly, attentive, and went out of her way to make sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find that level of care and hospitality at an airport restaurant.“

I’m used to restaurants skimping on the size and stilling hungry afterwards. This was the opposite. I actually couldn’t finish everything! The food was also incredibly delicious. The owner and the workers are hard working and the food is always fresh. I love the gungo peas and rice. The oxtail is delish, j*** pork always on point and the fresh juices are always A1 with me.
