We thought we were just getting some quick, basic food but it ended up being the best meal of our whole vacation!! The male cashier took my order, asked if I wanted my bottled juice now or later with the meal, and I chose later... He told me it would be ready in 10 minutes and I gave him 15... When I returned, he was away from the takeout window (food prepping I suppose as he had a bag of what looked like beef patties in hand)... The lady who came to the window spoke to me in Spanish then proceeded to hold (what seemed like) a five (5) minute conversation with each other... My food was finally ready, I left (parked on the south side), and it did not cause me to relive the great memories from years ago... Maybe next time...“

“Just moved to the neighborhood, pass by this place often decided to stop, on a Sunday after church and was pleased to the findings. It's a Latin fruit stand location with a cafeteria, but It is welcoming for us Americans. I got a ½ gallon jug of Guanbana juice for $10 now that's a bargain. I have bought drink at other place 1 cup $7, this is a bargain. I also bought a plate of food rice & peas, steak, and tostones $10, lots of food. Picked up some more fruits and other things. Prices not too steep, very reasonable. Place is clean and friendly too. They do speak Spanish bur willing to talk English just be patience.“

“Firsy things first, This restaurant is now called Celias. We were looking for Biscayne Tavern and walked right past it twice lol. Went inside the hotel and they let us know we were in the right spot and that the name had changed. The food was very tasty and served hot. The Mahi Mahi sandwich was seasoned perfectly and the cilantro sauce was delicious. We had a few drinks that were also delicious. Overall its a nice place, decorated beautifully with tropical colors and accents.“

I’ve never tried birria empanadas, I couldn’t really finish them because they had too much of a Smokey taste to them.. overall I loved the experience though! El Rinconcito Latino Doral
The food was a 5. We got the pork something. We called the waitress over. We said we can’t read anything on this menu. What do you recommend. We said we like pork. She said which pork? There were 4 options. We said we are not sure. She pointed to one, and we got that. I still don’t know what it was.
The presentation of the food was way below favorable. When she brought out the food, I thought, take it back, this is not going to go well. But I tried it anyway. The pork was absolutely delicious. The rice by itself was normal whit rice. The black beans were great. They aren’t just out of a can. They tasted better than that. The rice mixed with the beans and a bite of pork was great. There was a sauce on the pork that basically fell off and just pooled at the bottom of the dish. So I didn’t get to taste it until almost the end. I wish that I had tasted that at the beginning. That was the best part of the food.
We split 1 plate. That made the Miami price point spot on. So I’ll give 5 for the price.
The service needs a 1 or a 0. We walked in. There wasn’t a sign that said wait to be seated. But it was set up that way. There wasn’t 1 other group there when we walked in and 3 waitresses walking around. We waited for a very long time. Then I just yelled to one of the girls to get her attention. Then she sat us. She asked for our drinks. We don’t drink alcohol so we said water. She gave us cups and water. They never filled up our waters again.
Then she didn’t come back. I ended up just getting another girls attention to take our order. She took our order brought the food, and didn’t come back. I flagged another girl to say where do we pay. She said pay me. She got the credit card pad machine and left.
So basically, this was not a place to go if you want to be treated and served. I’m not sure if it was because none of them could speak English. The food was great, but I don’t like this kind of service. This statement makes me seem snooty or high maintenance, but I really am not. I just don’t think I need to flag down the waitress for everything.“
