Update 1/2026: I brought friends this time. They absolutely loved it. The crème brûlée is a must. Food was phenomenal and walked the complete location. The pastries look amazing and had coffee at the coffee bar. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Highly recommended.“

“We needed to grab a quick bite before heading to our hotel after a 10 hour drive and The Bored Cuban was around the corner from our hotel. We thought we were just getting some quick, basic food but it ended up being the best meal of our whole vacation!! We got two different flat breads and a Cuban sandwich and it was more than enough for our family of 4. Both flatbreads were phenomenal and anything but basic! The atmosphere was fun too.“

“The female staff spoke Spanish only so communication was lost in translation, only the female owner spoke English. They are incredibly busy as their sandwiches are delicious and popular. We ordered a beef sandwich (Pan Con Bistec), a classic Cuban sandwhich made with pork(Miami), and a Pepsi zero as they do not have diet Coke. This is a take out only joint. Food came quickly. I loved the classic Cuban sandwich, it reminds me of the Montreal sandwich. The portion was so big, we got 2 meals out of it. Ps: they do not accept cash, only credit card through their square machine. Sandwich was priced between $14.25 -$15.75, very reasonable.“

“Don’t sleep on this place! It used to be La Colada Gourmet, but goes by this name now. They still have a lot of the same dishes if not all the same. Also still have delicious coffee drinks.

The hubby and I started with the Yuca bread which was warm, soft and perfectly toasty on the outside. Both the beef tallow butter and coconut butter were perfect, along with the orange zest sea salt.

We both then got the Picadillo as we didn’t want to share 😆; it’s SO delicious & flavorful, and he got the oxtail which was also flavorful and so so tender.

We then ended with the creamiest flan, amazing 305 Cafe, & Cafe Wynwood. The artistry on the coffee drinks was on point!

I can’t forget to speak about the service we received from Rosemary. Very attentive but not overbearing! The rest of the team was on top of it too! Thank you all, we will of course be back!“

“Just moved to the neighborhood, pass by this place often decided to stop, on a Sunday after church and was pleased to the findings. It's a Latin fruit stand location with a cafeteria, but It is welcoming for us Americans. I got a ½ gallon jug of Guanbana juice for $10 now that's a bargain. I have bought drink at other place 1 cup $7, this is a bargain. I also bought a plate of food rice & peas, steak, and tostones $10, lots of food. Picked up some more fruits and other things. Prices not too steep, very reasonable. Place is clean and friendly too. They do speak Spanish bur willing to talk English just be patience.“

“Love coming here. This is about my fourth visit here and the food is very delicious. Waitresses and waiters are very friendly. Management is very communicative and attention to detail. I’ll be coming back for more in the future. My parents used to go to the original one in Miami Beach on Collins Ave. Great memories and I plan on visiting that one soon as well.“

“This little gem is a historic piece of the neighborhood. It's also one of the few places near Wynwood where you can get a warm meal at 6:00am! Cozy countertop seating, lots of Latin-Caribbean kitsch decorating the whole place. It's just lovely. They have a different special for each day of the week. Can't go wrong with a soup, sandwich, or something crispy :)“

The food was a 5. We got the pork something. We called the waitress over. We said we can’t read anything on this menu. What do you recommend. We said we like pork. She said which pork? There were 4 options. We said we are not sure. She pointed to one, and we got that. I still don’t know what it was.
The presentation of the food was way below favorable. When she brought out the food, I thought, take it back, this is not going to go well. But I tried it anyway. The pork was absolutely delicious. The rice by itself was normal whit rice. The black beans were great. They aren’t just out of a can. They tasted better than that. The rice mixed with the beans and a bite of pork was great. There was a sauce on the pork that basically fell off and just pooled at the bottom of the dish. So I didn’t get to taste it until almost the end. I wish that I had tasted that at the beginning. That was the best part of the food.
We split 1 plate. That made the Miami price point spot on. So I’ll give 5 for the price.
The service needs a 1 or a 0. We walked in. There wasn’t a sign that said wait to be seated. But it was set up that way. There wasn’t 1 other group there when we walked in and 3 waitresses walking around. We waited for a very long time. Then I just yelled to one of the girls to get her attention. Then she sat us. She asked for our drinks. We don’t drink alcohol so we said water. She gave us cups and water. They never filled up our waters again.
Then she didn’t come back. I ended up just getting another girls attention to take our order. She took our order brought the food, and didn’t come back. I flagged another girl to say where do we pay. She said pay me. She got the credit card pad machine and left.
So basically, this was not a place to go if you want to be treated and served. I’m not sure if it was because none of them could speak English. The food was great, but I don’t like this kind of service. This statement makes me seem snooty or high maintenance, but I really am not. I just don’t think I need to flag down the waitress for everything.“
