“My husband and I dined in the El Mirador Restaurant and I would give 10 stars for the prompt and attentive service we received from our server Mery...and also Yan! The food was great and piping hot which was a great plus for us as we have found in other hotels that often our meal arrived lukewarm. This was not the case tonight! We both had the yellow rice with shrimp. It was spiced just enough to enhance the food but not overpowering. Dessert was the chocolate cake and it was yummy! Deep rich chocolate with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The menu variety was good in all categories with vegan options I noted. The view from our table was super...we could see the night lights coming in the distance in the area if Miami Beach. This hotel is 15 minutes drive from the VA Hospital in Miami and also the airport. It's a great location as it is very close to the interchange to get into I-95 and the beaches and elsewhere in Miami. Tonight was special in that it was also our 45th wedding anniversary. We had not expected to be in Miami and the VA hospital for this event in our lives but my husband had cataract surgery scheduled and it just worked out that way. It was a long and difficult day at the VA but the staff as I mentioned earlier Mery and Yan were so helpful and gracious to us 'old folks'...and provided service above and beyond.“
