“Surry Hills was so memorable I barely captured any photos or video, I just wanted to be in it. The space is calm and confident, and you can feel how intentional everything is, inside and out. Even the tiny things are dialed in, like the soap and lotion in the bathroom, and the specialty dog treats that make it feel genuinely welcoming. They’ve been recognized by The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops, and once you sit down, you get why. 

Now the food and coffee. Their coffee is perfectly dialed in, smooth, balanced, and consistent, the kind of flat white that tastes like someone actually cared about ratio, texture, and temperature, not just speed. The almond croissant was flawless, soft and gooey inside, with that crunchy almond top that gives you the perfect snap in every bite. 

And then the savory stuff surprised me in the best way. The avocado toast has that super satisfying crunch and texture, and it tastes like a real Australian brunch plate, not the watered down version. The quinoa salad with chicken was a wow too, hearty but still fresh, with edamame, greens, seeds, and that dukkah vibe that makes it feel intentional instead of just “healthy.” They got it all right, the coffee, the food, the details, and the energy.

“I am not local but EVERY time I have stopped in (often indecisive about what I want) they have gone above and beyond with suggestions and infinite patience. Every single time my choice has been delicious. Their CHOYO options are extensive and they are always mixed perfectly. I am also deeply impressed by their friendly and caring staff. “Enjoy the in-house roasted beans from various countries. Especially, the east coast blend for cappuccinos and Ethiopian beans for pourover.
When having more time, I cherish coffee houses with pour-over options. It’s what separates the massive milk drinking (lattes) patrons from the actual coffee consumers. The Brazil and Ethiopia bean seem the best balanced choices.
Note: Grab (purchase) a bag of beans and enjoy a complimentary drink.

“We called ahead as we wanted to make sure about parking and also we had a small dog. We received a very warm positive response. There was lots of parking and our dog could be easily accommodated We came for brunch and were greeted very warmly by Juan and staff. It’s just a very nice place, coming from downtown Miami. It is still in the artsy district with lots of activity, but not right in the chaotic part of downtown Miami. We were greeted upon arrival. Juan made sure we were comfortable and took drink orders. Then the food. ( our dog was royally taken care of). We found the empanada to be excellent, the breakfast sandwiches delicious from bread to cheese, eggs and meat. Very fresh!! Our party had wonderful juice combinations and we had an expresso- all were excellent. It was a wonderful experience and we’d come back in a minute. Thankyou Juan!! PS the bathrooms were absolutely wonderful and clean too!!❤️❤️“

Their coffee is so delicious and the customer service is always great. We always get the iced Tuscan trifle with espresso and the iced cookie dough with espresso. It's artistic and beautiful and the staff is not only friendly and conversational, but the drinks and food are top notch and perfectly made. “I came over the weekend and thought the place was nicely decorated. It’s a great place to come, eat and study or work. Ordering food is also very easy on the tablet. I love how they offer all day brunch. I tried the omelette sandwich with a salad and it was delicious. The tasty omelette sandwich on brioche bread was big and filling. The salad was simple but delicious. The staff were also nice. I would definitely return to this location to try other items on the menu.“

The flavors are just right not too sweet or too sour, the combination of fruits sweetness mixes well with the tea.
