“Today I was pleased to meet Claudia Maitre D at Umbria Caffe on West Ave in Miami Beach. A beautiful cornerstone café with umbrellas and beautiful views of Miami’s intercostal architectural tapestry (dwellings facing Downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay). The colors are immersive and blending with Miami days and nights while you enjoy a warm or chilled beverage prepared by none other than a maestro named Dean. Adding even more to my experience at Umbria Caffe was the chemistry between Maitre D Claudia and Master Barista Dean. They cared not only that I enjoyed my coffee, by leaning in, they insisted that I enjoy my self. In today’s rush’em in and out service, where tables are timed and tips are nightly news, this felt like a Lavender Latte [extra lavender and extra honey] with an “I love you” for nothing. And then I tasted my latte and there was confirmation. One, that God, is real ??. Two, Claudia and Dean really know what they’re doing at Umbria Caffe. Just Go! Order to your taste, but you’ve got my go-to order up top! You will love it! [? Bitten by the Lavender latte.]“
“My partner and I were on our way to another restaurant. We happened to have parked right outside this place and it looked pleasant, so we stopped here instead. We never ended up going to our initial intended destination because this place stole our hearts. It is cute, charming, and aesthetically pleasing in all the ways. It is a small, quaint, calming, well lit, romantic environment with live jazz, and WONDERFUL AND FRIENDLY service (which I might add is rarity in Miami). After a long work week, this was the absolute perfect place to melt into a relaxed state and enjoy ourselves. We will 100% be back. “I really liked the place. It's cosy. The coffee delicious. The pancakes that my friend bought were delicious and fluffy. The delicious empanadas. So much so that we went back the next day. The juices were also refreshing and natural. I totally recommend it for a drink in the morning before continuing on the adventure around the city.“
“Stop what you’re doing right now and get the stuffed churros with guava. Yes I know you’re in the mood for regular churros (and yes those are delicious when dipped in their velvety decadent and dark chocolate sauce) but the stuffed ones are absolute yum. The guava adds a tartness to the sweet fried perfection, that matches Miami’s attitude to a T. Besides, I got a promo that allowed me to get both them, so I dipped those in the chocolate sauce anyway cuz I’m a monster. Can’t recommend enough. Shout out to Sol that pointed the special deal out. This was everything I wanted and more. Also the soundtrack is jammin.“
