Food is horrible

We went on a busy Saturday night and sat outside with some friends. Food was exactly what we were looking for. Smash burgers were great, as were the fries. Service was a bit slow but not to any fault of their own. Our server was nearly jogging between duties. It was very evident that they were understaffed. Despite this, she made an effort to check on us a few times but her stress was evident. Considering we were not in a rush, we were happy to go with the flow. I was very appreciative of the fellow who was cleaning tables off even lending a hand - grabbing us some napkins and menus despite that likely not being one of his responsibilities.

Came at 10pm. Ordered the three egg breakfast. Server was extremely slow. Food arrived. Eggs were cooked fine, toast and what was supposed to be home fries but received french fries. I questioned the waitress who seemed disgusted. “Yea its french fries at night”. Woulda been nice to know this before I ordered. Asked for jelly for my toast. 17
Minutes later and had to ask 2 different people. By now the food was cold. Received the bill. 23 minutes later i had to flag someone down bc our waitress was nowhere to be found to pay the bill. Then she had the audacity to tell me that the service fee doesnt go to her. You should be happy your getting any service fee from me. This place is going downhill fast and they caused it themselves. We have visited multiple other times and had Bubbles as our server and shes been great but shes not always there and we live right around the corner. It’s a shame bc its so close to us but us and other locals have noticed the service slipping away.

Servings were large. The Fried chicken and waffles was made to perfection. I had just left the gym at our hotel so I was hungry...little did I know I would be in for a treat. My wife loved the grits and cheese and we tore up the turkey bacon. They do have gratuity added on to the bill. 18% Atmosphere was nice as its nestled in the heart of South Beach. Plenty of seating even though it was consistent traffic.

I went there for brunch with a friend from Europe that wanted to try American food and we absolutely loved it. The food taste delicious, the portions are big. Our server was kind, friendly and helpful with the recommendations. The weather was fabulous to sit outside.

Totally worth it!!!

Looking forward to go back to try the desserts.

I’m a five year regular customer of the big pink and today’s probably my last time being there putting up with the automatic 18% service charge of slow service. There’s always been difficult to deal with tonight. Probably topped the cake two hamburgers and a milkshake took 20 minutes to get the burgers out no contact from the waitress whatsoever. Hey, we’re running behind whatever the case may be and they tried to up charge to make the milkshake $20 cause it was a coffee milkshake evidently didn’t have that flavored instead of communicating it being an up charge just threw it on there so again automatic 18% tip extremely slow service food is OK not great not bad. My son‘s was great. Mine was not great but they wanted to charge $78 for two burgers and a milkshake which I think is gouging to the prime so I complained and instead of saying hey we’re really sorry I shouldn’t have taken this longer. Whatever we never she said she never sold a coffee milkshake before while I said I need to communicate to your customers and there’s an up charge so they took the up charge off but of course waiting 20 minutes and paying 18%. Doesn’t sit well with me, communications the key in life probably my last time there.

Came here for a quick brunch and walk on South Beach. The food was tasty and the service was great. Clean with plenty of seating. One block away from Ocean Drive. Definitely recommendation from me.

The food is definitely on the heavier side — a bit over-salted and overly sweet — but honestly, it fits the whole concept of the place. If you’re looking for that “classic plastic American” food experience, this is exactly it, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I still had a lot of fun overall, and the staff was great — friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable.

BIG food! Delicious as usual, husband had the meatloaf TV dinner, could barely eat half. I had the Mayor burger, 10oz burger topped with pulled pork, onion rings, BBQ sauce. Got the coleslaw on the side, and came with a bucket of fries. I could barely finish half, absolutely the best burger I've ever had. My friend had the pancakes, ate everything. He said it was fabulous! Now we have to take naps after putting our togo boxes in the fridge.

We visited Big Pink Restaurant in Miami and really enjoyed the food and service. The staff was pleasant. Unfortunately, we were initially charged the wrong amount (pitcher price instead of a large beer), and while a second charge for the correct amount was processed immediately, the original charge was never refunded. Despite calling about 20 times over 4+ weeks, the refund has not been completed. Email attempts go unanswered, and we were repeatedly told a manager would call back, but no one did. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit, but the unresolved double charge and lack of communication has been frustrating. We hope the restaurant addresses this issue.

I was charged twice due to an order correction. The server confirmed the first charge would be refunded within a few days, but that never happened.

It’s now been a month. I’ve called around 15 times and sent multiple emails, all of which have been ignored. This should have been a simple refund, but the complete lack of response is unacceptable.

Still waiting for the refund. Happy to update this once it’s resolved.

At the time, we were initially charged a higher amount for drinks that were different from what was ultimately served. The server corrected the order, processed a second charge for the correct amount, and informed us that the original transaction would be refunded within a couple of days.

Unfortunately, despite calling up to twenty times since then, the refund for the first transaction has still not been processed, and it has now been more than 4 weeks.

We truly enjoyed our visit, and the service overall was very pleasant. However, being charged twice without a completed refund does take away from that experience. Restaurant is not communicating via email and call response was always that a manager will reach to us back. And no one has not done so yet.
