Giving you a one star not that it matters because THIS PLACE IS CLOSED! It's now an Indian restaurant and it's not indicated on YELP.

Delicious food - must try appetizers and share at table. Cocktails are amazing. So happy a new restaurant that knows how to serve upscale Mexican food. Went up stairs to Privado Lounge. Great place to relax, have a drink and be with friends.

This new neighborhood spot is way above the average for Mexican and superior to the long established texmex spot down the street in Sunset Harbour. Extra tasty shrimp tacos and guac. Managment(owner?) seemed extra attentive. Happy hour was everyday til 7 but, like the rest of the beach, not a big bargain.

Not sure how so far there are all 5 star reviews. It's exorbitantly overpriced for what it is, not authentic Mexican food. They did not serve rice and beans with the enchilada dinner. The enchiladas were fried, so wrong. The portions are truly tiny and you're paying 5 times what regular real Mexican food costs. Why go there? For what??

As a native Texan, I am always on the hunt for good Mexican food in Miami. Blue Dahlia combines incredible Tex-Mex culinary flavors with a very chic South Beach vibe and I would absolutely come here again. Vibes: From the minute you walk in, you immediately see a very chic and cool interior combined with a welcoming, warm atmosphere. The color combinations of blue accents around the restaurant and upstairs lounge truly create a memorable theme for this establishment. Eats: Like I said, the Tex-Mex flavor combinations were simply fantastic. Some gal pals and I started off with a round of handcrafted cocktails and we were not disappointed (so we ordered another round later on). I had The Claudia to start and loved the spicy-sweet combination so fast, I finished it in 5 minutes. All the drinks were handcrafted and beautifully made, on top of being absolutely delicious. After appetizers, I figured I'd be a little adventurous and had the Dirty Chica- a Mexican style martini with jalepeí±o-soaked onions and pepper infused olive juice. It was surprisingly delicious and the perfect martini. A perfect addition to our already incredible taste of this cantina. For appetizers, we had the Guac-a-mole, Tres Rubias Queso, Langosta Tostadas, and Tacos de Filete. The guacamole was quite frankly one of my favorite guacs I've ever tried, and writing about it is actually making me crave it again. The guac and queso were creamy and delicious, a perfect pairing to the seasoned and tasty corn chips. The Langosta Tostadas and Tacos de Filete offered a unique combination of seafood and classic Tex-Mex style steak, both appropriately sized and perfect for an appetizer. For the main course, we had the Key Lime Sea Bass, H-Town Enchiladas, and Tejas Fajitas. As I am from Houston I can confirm, the H-Town Enchiladas perfectly embody the ultimate Tex-Mex flavors (so its no surprise I finished them off for the table). Both the enchiladas and fajitas offer the quintessential tasting of what true Tex-Mex tastes like, a rare find here in Miami. The sea bass was an unexpected addition to the menu but also happened to be one of my favorites at Blue Dahlia. Finally, for the deserts, we tried the Angel Tres Leches and Churros Sundae. The Angel Tres Leches was one of the most beautiful desserts I've ever tried, and it's taste matched the design. The Churros Sundae offered the traditional Mexican flavors of churros combined with a little kick from the espresso that was poured on top. Overall: Chic, inviting atmosphere with tasty bites and attentive staff. Having a South Beach destination that offers a true Tex-Mex taste was exciting and I will definitely be coming back!

What an amazing concept in south beach! A wonderful addition to this booming part of bay road. From the second we were greeting by Nicole, "La Patrona", you had a warm, welcoming feeling. She has such a genuine, welcoming smile. She grew up in Texas and shows her passion for Mexican cuisine! And she also ran some amazing restaurants in St. Thomas for many years, and brings the Caribbean flavors that she learned there to Miami. Now the drinks! Our server Oz was fantastic at getting our drink order right away and starting the night! Spicy Mezcalita: Lunazul Reposado Agave, Tequila, Illegal Mezcal, organic citrus blend, passion fruit, jalapeí±o, and smoked lava salt rim. What a delicious combination! And don't be scared of the spice, it has just the right amount of kick with the sour of the passion fruit. Mexican 75: Milagro Silver Tequila, fresh lime juice, lavender agave, champagne. Yes Champagne and Mezcal! As long as you enjoy it you'll be fine! Now the appetizers: Langosta Tostadas: Caribbean lobster and rock shrimp magic, samba aioli, truffled arugula, red onion and jalapeí±o, bacon crumble, queso blanco, and these amazing house-made crispy cilantro-corn tostada. All the flavors combining in your mouth with every bite was bursting with goodness! The seafood in here is so fresh! Tacos de Filete: Soft, perfect, sofrito marinated Filet Mignon, Chile toreada salsa, manchego cheese, cilantro petals, roasted poblano crema, and their yummy house-made crispy cilantro-corn tostada. One of my favorite starters! Guacamole: the classic but with the Blue Dahlia twist! Pico style avocados, pico de Gallo, jalapeí±os, garlic, Mexican spices, toasted pepitas, and tortilla chips. So good Tres Rubias Queso: Special house blend of quite quests, cilantro, and tortilla chips. Hot and delicious!!! The meals: Key Lime Sea Bass: nice, light portion if you are trying to watch your figure. Still delicious in every bite! Key lime-white wine glazed sea bass, adobo garlic spinach, smoked sea salt mash and mango mojo Tejas Fajitas: sizzling fajitas, poblano and onion rajas, arroz verde (DELICIOUS!), refried beans, salsa roja de la casa y salsa crema verde. The tortillas are soft and home-made as well! H-town Enchiladas: slow-braised chicken, creamy queso, gravy, refried beans, and cilantro rice. What a flavor bomb!!! Loved these. Last but not least, dessert: Churros Sundae: Delicious churros, cinnamon, sugar, cajeta ice cream, and though the espresso is optional , GET IT!!!!! Angel Tres Leches: I honestly am not a sweet tooth, so I absolutely loved their version of the tres leches. If you like dense, sugary, sweet stuff, this may not be for you. If you enjoy fresh fruit the perfect touch of light sweetness, then this is for you! Angel cloud cake, coconut 3 milks tres leches, dulce de leche, fresh strawberries and blueberries, lemon crema, and fresh dust! LOVED! They have a great lounge upstairs called Privado with lovely views, pool tables, and comfy chairs. They rent the space for private events as well. If you're a south beach resident or work in south beach, then take advantage of their Happy hour every DAY! (Yes, weekends too!) from 5pm-7pm.

First off I have to start that I absolutely loved the decor so beautiful! Food was great some really yummy Mexican options my favorite was the churro sundae for dessert. The owner have built a very chic speakeasy vibe bar on the top floor I recommend checking up on the opening hours and exploring that as well as the restaurant.

Blue Dahlia is a true culinary oasis. Blue represents the bounties of the sea and Dahlia is the official flower of Mexico. Everything in this restaurant from the food to the decorations represents the Blue Dahlia. The owner Nicole Boswell brought this concept to Miami Beach that captures the warm rustic flavors of Mexico with a twist of modern creative Miami. We started this culinary trip with a few libations, appetizers, entrees and ended with dessert. The following was our delightful meal: Mexican 75 - Luna Azul Blanco Agave Tequila, fresh lime juice, lavender agave, champagne. I had to try this, champagne and tequila wow! Excellent combination and I would order this a million times more. Toronja Limonada - Casa Noble Joven Organic Tequila, pink grapefruit, fresh lemon, house-infused citrus honey, black pepper bitters. Refreshing and loved the grapefruit twist, not too sweet or bitter. Chips y Salsas - Chile toreado salsa. tortilla chips, sea salt. Warm, crunchy. Watch out for the salsa, they have a mild version but the real deal is the hot one. If you like hot, do it! Tres Rubias Queso - Special house-blend of white quesos, pico de gallo, cilantro, tortilla chips. I could've eaten this alone. Excellent and tasty queso mix. Tacos de Filete - Sofrito Marinated Filet Mignon, roasted poblano crema, manchego cheese, chile toreado salsa, cilantro petals, house-made cilantro - corn tortilla. I said "WOW" as soon as I put this in my mouth. Such a small taco with so much flavor! Langosta Tostadas - Fresh Caribbean Lobster & Rock Shrimp, samba aioli, truffled arugula, red onion & jalapeí±o, bacon crumble, queso blanco. Small tostadas but remember one thing...small things come in bit packages! Deliciouso! Tejas Fajitas - Sizzling Fajitas, Poblano & Onion Rajas, Queso Mezcla, refried beans, arroz verde, Flour or Corn Tortillas. If you like fajitas, this is for you. Amazing flavor. H-Town Enchiladas - Chicken, creamy queso, gravy, refried beans, cilantro rice. These enchiladas are on another level. Don't think traditional here. Honestly, I've never tasted an enchilada this good. Key Lime Sea Bass - White Wine Glazed Sea Bass, adobo garlic spinach, smoked sea salt mash, mango mojo. Portion is not big if you have a huge appetite BUT this plate is a work of art with flavors and presentation as well. A house favorite and a must order. Angel Tres Leches - Yes you read correctly, a Three Milk dessert made with coconut milk. Mildly sweet, not too much served with strawberries and blueberries. Heavenly. Sundae de Cafeina - dulce de leche ice cream, cinnamon churros and a tableside organic espresso shot. The espresso shot turns this dessert up a notch and definitely a pick me up after such an amazing meal. Blue Dahlia has a Privado (private) lounge upstairs that can be rented for private parties but also opens it's doors to whomever wants to have a good chill time Thurs-Sat 9pm-2am with free entry. There's a Dj on some nights, a bar and beautiful floor space with royal blue seating, chandeliers and a pool table. I would consider booking this for a private party. Service was stellar and our waiter Oz was delightful and explained everything to us in detail. Parking is metered around the area but I had no problem finding a space during the week. As you can see my visit to Blue Dahlia was a true delight that left me feeling refreshed and content like If I had just visited a resort in Mexico or the Islands. Definitely a place to bring a date, celebrate a special occasion or just because. ProTip: They have 2 for 1 Happy Hour DAILY from 5-7pm

Amazing food and a really cool vibe just a short walk from the beach! The Guacamole and Fajitas were top notch and the cilantro-corn tortillas were a special treat! Enjoy!!

Had a great evening at the newly opened Blue Dahlia Cantina. I had the key lime sea bass and it was just like butter. Incredible! We had a variety of other things but highly recommend them and can't wait to return.
