The food was soooo good. The service was great. Good size portions. They appreciated our business. Two thumbs up!

Pros - good food, good service, good menu options Cons - Uber / Lyft location on GPS puts the drivers to the back door of the restaurant not the front door --- Also, the ambiance is weird -- putting Blue / Green neon lights in the restaurant does not make the food look appetizing at all -- its actually a downer in terms of mood -- Blue light does not entice anything -- its used for inducing sleep actually -- Most restaurants have white / yellow lighting for a reason so patrons dont feel tired and food looks appetizing when presented - I would greatly recommend changing or getting rid of the blue / green neons in the restaurant -- stay classy instead.

We had a superb experience at Akash. It's easy to dismiss, hidden, as it is, on an out-of-the-way portion of Alton Road. Doing so, however, would be a grave mistake. Akash has a cool, modern vibe inside, with a pleasant outdoor seating area. The staff are friendly an attentive, and the prices are very competitive. Where Akash really shines, however, is the food. It was absolutely delicious. I would particularly recommend their namesake curry - I am still thinking of it, days later. I would cheerfully go to Akash again, and endorse them without hesitation.

Delicious authentic Indian food restaurant in Miami Beach. Staff always helpful and ready to explain and recommend entrees from the menu. Every item we have tried have been wonderful.

Excellent food. Medium size quantities. Not a place to go if you have any specific dietary requests, as it is very difficult to get any modification of a dish. Their manager is a friendly person.

Outstanding food outstanding service line out the door along the sidewalk down the block last night (Christmas day). Authentic Indian everything and truly made fresh so it's so worth the wait. They take pride in their craft and the public have responded. We were so fortunate to get there early!!

The gentleman serving us and the owner (not to mention his son in law) couldn't have been any kinder or more attentive. Made us feel like family, even though we happened to be the last ones sitting for dinner. The food was spectacular and I am dreaming of my return to Miami in the spring so I can go back at least twice while visiting. This was our second visit to Akash, and it was even more memorable than the first. We ordered the Biriyani with chicken and the lamb Vindaloo (both delicious and come with a minimum heat (spicy) level of medium - ask for "hot" or "super hot" at your own risk!). We also ordered Kashmiri naan, which added a wonderfully sweet counterbalance to the heat of the entrees. Portion sizes are plentiful (especially the Biriyanis), so don't be surprised if you have leftovers to take home. The service is friendly and efficient, and the amiable owner is always available to make sure everything is satisfactory.

I loved the good although the butter was too much in the paneer. I wish they would get rid of the aquarium they have. It's too small and seeing the 2 fish have to swim vertically was so sad. They should buy a bigger one or get rid of it.

The best Indian food I have tasted in the Miami area. We visited last Saturday and had a lovely dinner with Vegetable Biryani, Palak Paneer, Chana Masala and Bhindi Masala. The Bhindi Masala was excellent. A must try for anyone who likes okra.

Food was excellent but extremely expensive. We asked for refrigerated water; The original waiter forgot but we asked another very friendly and caring waiter who when requested brought it quickly. Mandatory inclusion of 15% tip in bill without customer approval/discretion is dictatorial. Then when the receipt is presented it asks the customer if you want to add additional tip on top of already included 15% tip!!! Washroom requires upgrade to look modern and needs to be regularly cleaned. One of the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful and helped us with the pick up location for the Uber ride.

Absolutely beautifully seasoned food, full of flavour and they are happy to make curries to a spice level that suits you. Staff were attentive without being intrusive and couldn't do enough for us. When we said we were too full for dessert they brought out a small ice-cream for us to share on the house. Really lovely little restaurant, a gem of South beach. Very glad to have visited!

Food was average. Nothing special. It is an Indian menu. You get Indian food. Restaurant was more a bar atmosphere with a fast food charm. I get more attentive service at a Wendy's. Will not really go back unless Wendy's closes down. Expected so much more.
