I stayed with my husband at the Casablanca hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. I was unaware that each condo inside the hotel was privately owned by different individuals. We had issues with our air conditioning. It was hot and muggy in the room. We also had issues with our television, as it would reset every single day, in Spanish. We were told by the front desk that we had to contact the individual about the television. We decided to try and figure it out ourselves, as we are on our honeymoon and didn’t want wasted time. We asked the front desk for a roll of toilet paper, only to be told once again to contact the private owner. There is a kitchen in our condo, however every dish was extremely greasy and dirty, like it hadn’t been washed for the next guests. The cabinets and floors were extremely dirty. The towels weren’t clean, they had orange residue on them. The bed sheets had stains. The bathroom had MOLD. The floors were dirty and unswept. I am also pregnant & had to do the job of the owner, which is to clean! I am on vacation, not work. I was intending on having a better stay here for my honeymoon, but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my stay here. We paid a good amount for this, I am in hopes for a possible partial refund, as this wasn’t what I had expected.

In October this year I registered on priceline.com to rent an apartment in condominium Casablanca, Miami Beach, for 2 weeks. I admired their advertisements displaying their clean and modernly equipped apartments. We flew into Miami Beach from New York, rented a car, and according to the condo’s rules arrived to the apartment by 3 p. m. for check-in. But it turned out that the apartment was not ready for us, and we were required to stroll around for an hour or two. We came again at 5 p. m., and they checked us in. However, the apartment was not cleaned, empty bottles were lying all around the floors, the garbage can was overfilled, the wash basins were dirty, the bed sheets were also dirty, and the bed was not done. I had to make 3 phone calls to the owner to request a cleaning lady to come. Finally, at 6:15 p. m. the lady appeared dissatisfied with something. She washed the wash basins and changed the bedsheets, leaving the dirty torn blankets on the bed and a thick layer of dog’s hair all over the floors. It looked like the floors haven’t been washed for half a year. The a/c ventilation grille was covered with a thick layer of soot. We had to stand at the staircase for 45 minutes waiting for the end of the cleaning. While booking on priceline.com I requested an apartment with a view on the sea and the pool, but they placed us in an apartment with a view on a busy street with a spot for garbage containers removal. In the kitchen under the wash basin two pieces of cladding were torn out with bare wood showing. The electric stove was in a terribly dirty state, and three out of four burners were not working. There was a stain of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Dog’s hair was stuck to the floors over the whole apartment, amd it was impossible to sweep it because it was sticky. The chairs were very high and uncomfortable; it was impossible to sit on them for a longer stretch of time, to say nothing of having a rest. The beds were also too high, so that it was difficult to sit on them. In this apartment one had to either stand or lie down. So we had to buy a new chair. There was nothing in the apartment except things that were bought by previous tenants. We bought an electrical kettle and left it along with the chair for future tenants. We also bought and left there all household chemicals. There is a bathtub in the apartment, but it can not be used, so only the shower is working. From the a/c ventilation grille soot was falling over the floors. There was a heavy stench of stale tobacco over the whole apartment all the time. On the second day we turned off the air conditioner and opened the window, but the garbage containers made themselves known. Besides, there was no mesh on the window, and we had to close it before going out. Closeness to the ocean that attracted us in the first place didn’t help much either. For the duration of 2 weeks there was stormy weather, and strong unpleasant winds were blowing all the time. We were leaving Miami Beach with a great pleasure and with firm confidence that we will never come back. Great thanks to the website priceline.com and to the owner of the apartment for the spoiled vacation to which we were looking forward to for a long time. Before leaving I called the apartment owner, and he was very polite. He wished me a safe and happy return home. Well, I am very grateful to him at least for that.

I booked this hotel and had to cancel one month in advance. I was told I would get a full refund. One month later I’m still waiting to get my money back. All of a sudden I cannot get in touch with the hotel, I have left messages and have not gotten any calls back in return. My travel agent has contacted them multiple times as well and no one has returned any calls and I still have not gotten back my money.. seems very sketchy. I will be going there in person to demand some answers.

Worse place I’ve stayed in Miami! Hotel is not clean! Disgusting! Saw cockroaches in the bathroom. Bold in the bathroom. I got a “non-smoking” room and the smell of cigarette was just terrible. I even had to buy an air freshener (which did not help, the smell was just penetrating). Never saw housekeepers. They only supply two rolls of toilet paper. They supply towels that are years years old. I most definitely do not recommend this place. Never again, I’d rather spend $200-$300 more for a clean, bold free and cockroach free hotel!!!

Smells right as you enter. No place to check-in or ask for anything, as the desk that is in the lobby is for residents of the building. One would think there would be staff available to answer questions or obtain items when needed. I was told to text the owner who lives in Europe about extra towels and concerns. The hallway on 7th floor smelled so gross, I was close to vomiting. Carpet must be from the 80’s and has absorbed all the nasty smells. The room was dirty, sheets had hair on them, one was so gross none of us would sleep in it or sit on it. There was a roach crawling on one of the beds. The other had a broken frame, which was nearly touching the floor and had a price of tape hanging from it. Not even duct tape! The shade in the bathroom was broke. Only had 2 towels in the bathroom and no wash cloths or hand towels. Air conditioner was loud like it was going to take flight. Luckily an open window let ocean air in; however no screen and 7 floors up! I could keep going, but it’s too ridiculous. Just a huge waste of money and poor response when texting with mystery woman at virtual desk in Europe. She needs to get back to Miami to see the hole that she is taking customers money for. Time to get the Casablanca out of the 80’s. We got in at 1am due to delayed flight and left for a cruise the following day; otherwise we would have found another place to stay. A cardboard box would have been better.

My partner and I booked a condo from AirBnB at the hotel and it was the worst experience we have ever had. The hotel was advertised as being bright, right on the beach, with a restaurant and bar. We were excited to check it out. While it was right on the beach, it was NOT as advertised. The entire building reeks of smoke, is dimly lit, and trash is everywhere. The pool itself is dingy and the restaurant looks as if it hasn’t been open in a while. We felt incredibly unsafe walking in. It was like we were in the opening sequence of a horror film….The Casablanca Massacre. The condo itself was also a disaster. It was advertised as nonsmoking and we found a full ashtray on the table. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned and the sheets had stains on them. We were given two towels for the entire week and one roll of toilet paper. The “tiles” in the bathroom were falling off and the toilet was constantly running. No dishsoap, no paper towels, nothing. The oven was even missing a knob and we were told to “just stick it back on.” We got the hell out of dodge after one night and booked a place in South Beach instead. We have to give credit to our AirBnB hosts for being so understanding and communicative, but we honestly were so uncomfortable with the entire situation. Save yourself the hassle and do not book a room here. You will regret it.

I strongly discourage anyone from renting at Casa Blanca. This place is very misleading. The photos that were advertised were miss leading and false advertisement. We were very disappointed with this hotel. There was no AC in the lobby and smelled Rancid. Upon arriving to the fifth floor there was no AC once again and it smelled terrible. We were hoping that our room would be better and it was not. The room (542) was disgusting. The room smelled like mildew and mold. The mattress was old and had disgusting stains. The bathroom tiles had mildew. The bathroom mirror was cracked. Not sanitary for anyone. The person managing this room was rude! No help what so ever. I give this 0 stars

Only thing I can tell I made big mistake to stay here . This place look like old apartment or dirty motel . Door lock not working , carpet, wall , beds , kitchen cabinets looks 100 Years old !!! I should do more search before do reservation .

The only good thing is because the beach is close but believe me you have a lot of more options, they don’t even provide toilet paper, they charge for cleaning and don’t clean any day until you leave, the cleaning could be better, please don’t spend your money here.

My family and I stayed at this hotel and we could not stay there for more then one night. The sheets, pillows, and chairs all had stains on them. We called and told the owner our issues and no one came to fix the problem. Our shower was a pipe sticking out of the wall and it had no shower head. We also got 4 towels for the 5 of us and we were originally planning on staying for a week and if we wanted new towels we would have to pay $20 for new towels each day we wanted new towels. We also went with family friends and found out that our room codes were the same and we were very surprised by that. The hotel itself also smelt like weed the whole time we were there. It is not safe for kids, do not go to this hotel.
