“We were in town for a medical appointment, not vacation. This was near our hotel and an excellent option for the traveler on a budget or one too weary to go out to a restaurant. It’s a fine little convenience store with a nice deli type counter. They hand make some really good sandwiches, offer salads, pastries and desserts. The dulce de leche cake was incredible. We got a roast beef sandwich, empanada and the awesome cake for under $30. That’s quite a deal for the area. It’d also be a great option for a picnic on the beach right across the street.“

Block away from the Ocean Drive & the beach, great hours for morning people, and budget friendly relative to other spots nearby. Service is great too, ladies behind the counter are friendly and efficient. Everything takes so fresh. I’d recommend Brazilian gluten free cheese bread, chicken empanadas, avocado toast with egg was incredible too and of course any of their smoothies and green juices made fresh right in front of you. They do t have much in terms of seating areas so good to get everything to go to enjoy maybe at the beach“

“We were actually seated next to the couple who left this review (Lea Haber) and it’s important to add some context. They complained almost the entire time they were there—starting when they ordered chicken, then insisting they hadn’t ordered it once it arrived. My oat pancakes were incredible and came with fresh fruit. As with any fresh fruit, there’s always a chance of a single berry being off, and that was the one thing they chose to fixate on. They also loudly complained about the tables near the door being a “fire hazard” and even said the restaurant shouldn’t exist.

Some people simply come in looking for reasons to be unhappy.

My husband and I, on the other hand, had a lovely experience. The food was fresh, the coffee was very good, and our server was friendly and attentive. We would absolutely recommend this place“

“I’d seen the sign at a nearby strip mall and tried it yesterday for the first time. The pizzas are Cuban style dinner- plate size with a savory crust that is not too thin or too thick and many toppings to choose from. The service is perfect and the owner came out and spoke to us and we pleasantly discovered that his restaurants are named for a once important and productive sugar plantation (Central Zaza) of his native region of Cuba. I’ll be returning and shall recommend this place to others.“

“I took my mom here for ice cream on a random afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by its prices and just old school charm. We had soft serve in cones nothing fancy but just as effective (and very affordable) on a hot Miami day. We sat outside (they only have outdoor seating) on one of their little picnic tables and enjoyed people watching. All in all, I'm so happy a little place still like this still exists in Miami.“
