The food was amazing. The service outside by the french guy was exceptional. He was on time with the food, he recommended perfect menu.

I’m writing this to share my disappointment with my recent visit. I ordered a simple drink: Herradura tequila with a splash of agave and a lime wedge. Instead, the bartender rang it up as “sour mix” for $12 — which I never asked for — and then charged $26 for the tequila alone. To top it off, the receipt said Don Julio, not Herradura, which I specifically requested. That’s a clear mislabeling and misrepresentation of what I ordered and paid for.

What made the experience worse was the automatic 20% gratuity added to my bill as a solo guest at the bar, with no notice on the menu, no signage, and no verbal mention. That kind of charge is only legal in Miami Beach if it’s clearly disclosed before the order — and it wasn’t. This goes against both Florida law and Miami-Dade County ordinances.

The lack of transparency, the incorrect billing, and the excessive pricing left me feeling completely taken advantage of. I came in expecting good service and honesty and unfortunately got neither. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes changes for the sake of future guests.

The food was pretty tasty, there was a fun dj playing music and the ambience was gorgeous!

Usually don't do reviews, but just thinking and my hopes were so high.
Went a about a week ago per my friend's roommate recommendation. Its my first time in miami so I trust the recommendations.
A beauty of a restaurant. Loved the greenery. It looks like a paradise filled with luxury. I am a fan of these kinds of spots.That's what I'm talking about!

Did not expect to wait so long for our party to be able to order appetizers. Wait, I am sorry, we didn't get to do that. We walked away. Ran to Montana's which is also on southbeach and had a great dinner with drinks there.
Maybe new waiters are needed, maybe new managers. Maybe we went invisible after being seated and just didn't know we had that superpower. But I could not get over a 20 minute wait to order any appetizers in a restaurant with just a couple tables present.
I will try again one day down the road when I am just with one other person or something and when the restaurant hopefully and prayerfully has new staff. Their menu sounds good as hell I had my heart set on the prawn scampi and that whole fish.

Everything was amazing. The food was amazing from the appetizers all the way to the desert. The atmosphere was amazing, the music they play fits the vibe of the place and its so calm and relaxing but also so uplifitng, its very welcoming and warm. And last but not least, the service. Ben was our server for the night and he did amazing. He welcomed us with pure joy and with open arms, he cracked jokes that had the whole table laughing. I could say that ive had the most amazing experience with Ben and with casa matilda. I will defeintly be coming back with a bigger group.

I previously did a review because the people we came with were awesome but imma do a real raw review because it’s ridiculous.

First off, if you & your party are really hungry & don’t want to wait an hour on food, don’t come here. I ordered a TUNA TARTARE & it didn’t come out until AN HOUR & 20 MINUTES LATER! Mind you, I still paid full price for it of course, but the restaurant was empty…. It was the dinner party (which we were still waiting on our food……) & ONE COUPLE in the entire restaurant. When I ordered…. It was just me & the 2 promoters there. I wanted to tip bartender & try the food off the menu so I ordered from him at 9:35 right after I had arrived. Again didn’t get my TUNA TATARE until around 10:50.
At dinner parties, you have to BEGGGG servers for a refill on champagne, you’re waiting the whole time for a small salad, some unseasoned sliders, & some unseasoned pasta. That’s literally it. The first time we came here for dinner party, they put out unseasoned rice & a watermelon salad only.
Owner begs for positive reviews from dinner party girls, which is why they have such a high rating on here….. but you’ll notice a theme the more you read the real reviews.
Others have to constantly apologize for their incompetence. Mind you… I’ve been here 6 or 7 times to witness this, it’s a constant thing I can tell they probably won’t be changing anytime soon.
So if you go here expect long delays even if the restaurant is empty & you have a cold dish, expect that the servers are going to be at the bar laughing & talking at the bar while your glass of water runs empty, & expect to be asked for a positive review after a frustrating visit… as if you didn’t get shitty service the whole time.
Oh unless you’re 50 cent or some famous figure…. They take you REAL serious then.

Also this is no hate to the restaurant, but I’m a foodie & I leave truthful reviews at each spot I visit. Hopefully this will cause a positive change in the staff & owners.

Very nice ambiance / interior decor, music was great with the live DJs. It was easy to get a reservation for 14 last minute which was surprising for a Saturday. The mademoiselle drink was fabulous and bone marrow dish tasted great..howeverrrrr the total amount of bone marrow was very disappointing, there was maybeee a spoonful to eat in total between the 2 bone pieces I received. I’ve had many spoonfuls before in just one piece at other places so for $50 I was shocked.

The other shocking thing was that the ceiling was leaking water all over me and my other guests throughout the dinner making it uncomfortable (placing napkins in between guests that had to move over causing separation and wet napkins next to them to keep them company)

With the exception of the DJ’s personal friends table and my large party, there were only a couple of other guests dining making me feel like the atmosphere was more lively and enjoyable with our table of guests being present and dancing. So one could assume that I started to feel more displeased when the management didn’t seem to want to compensate in any way for this huge error of a leaking ceiling in many spots, only stating “it’s just the humidity” when asking if something could be done.

As a result, I’m don’t believe I would go back.

This place is gorgeous! The atmosphere and service here was top notch for sure! I'm not sure the food along with the price they bring is up to the same level. And maybe it was just what I ordered, I got the half chicken and it was just decent. Actually the sliders we had before the main course were better. Anyway I would give it another shot and get a steak instead, but you know I was just trying something different.

Oh and they tell you the sides are sharable, but I disagree.

What a great culinary experience! From the host to the food, the atmosphere and great service added to this experience. Jesson was so friendly, helpful and so was his assistant Paola, for their excellent service I will definitely return.
