Casa Matilda Steakhouse

My husband and I decided to try Casa Matilda for our wedding anniversary and because of Miami Spice. The service was good. The food was solid, though nothing to rave about really. It was a good one-time experience, but we wouldn't be back for their regular menu as it's very pricey.

Food was terrible, drinks were watered down, slow service even though the restaurant was empty.

The food, service and decor was great. I had the poblano pasta with shrimps and my date had lamb chops with a side of asparagus. I also had the spicy duke cocktail. All was delicious!

We have an exceptional time , our dood was great and our server Louis was THE BESTTTT !! Super attentive and made iur experience even better . We will for sure be back

It was my first time visiting and we got in. For a while, my table was the only one dining in so we had the place to ourselves 🤣. Good was amazing, service was amazing and they even brought out a birthday sign for my sister! The owner even took a picture of us while we were leaving! She was sooo nice. Definently willntetutn if I am ever in Miami.

Six of us went for my girlfriend’s birthday and every dish was delicious, the drinks were beautiful and great tasting, the ambiance was infectious, and let’s not forget the live DJ🔥

We were 1 of 3 total tables the restaurant had from 8-11pm. Our entrees were all pretty average, one persons steak didn’t come out and they said it was a printer issues despite that person ordering off the prefixed menu. They had to wait 15 minutes for their dish to come out after everyone else’s. Another one of us ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came out medium well, again we had to wait 15 minutes for a new one to come out. Service was extremely slow considering we were basically the only people in there during a 3 hour period. I would not recommend this place to anybody especially considering the price you’ll pay for a lack luster meal. It truly is a shame because the inside is beautiful.

I was searching for the perfect restaurant to take my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday, and I ultimately chose Casa Matilda when I found out the owner is Haitian. From the moment we walked through the door, the customer service made a lasting impression. Andrea not only remembered my name but also remembered that we were celebrating a birthday—she acknowledged my boyfriend and wished him a happy birthday, which felt so thoughtful and personal.

We requested a table away from the “Dinner with a Stranger” setting since we went on a Saturday night, but still wanted to enjoy the music. They went above and beyond by giving us our own table behind curtains, which made the night feel like a private dinner. If that’s not excellent customer service, I don’t know what is!

Now, onto the drinks—my cocktail was delicious, and for $24, they give you a generous pour. The lemon drop martini was also amazing! I asked for it to be strong, and the bartender delivered perfectly.

For dinner, our steaks were cooked beautifully—my boyfriend’s was exactly medium, not overcooked at all. The tomato confit chipotle mash paired with the steak truly elevated the dish. Every bite was worth it!

I’m so happy with my experience here, and I will definitely be coming back with my friends. Thank you so much, Casa Matilda, for making this birthday dinner so special!
