I tried to go to lunch at the restaurant: outdoors along Ocean Drive the tables are on the street, there is enough noise and chaos for those like me, who prefer to eat inside in a cooler and quieter place. They forbade me from consuming inside even though the room is huge and there were already 2 people in a corner having lunch. I was told that they do not serve inside at lunch. I find it ridiculous to be forced to spend on average 60/70€ to eat constipated on the street under the scorching midday sun of Miami. The girl at the entrance was very rude and almost sent me to hell and kicked me out after telling her that I could not stay under the sun due to a temporary eye problem. Avoid this place, the quality of the food is not worth the price in any case, a tourist place with dishes that attract tourists (wow you are in Miami eat a nice exotic crab in our hut!)

CJ’s has the most delicious fried shrimp. The shrimp had a light batter and the shrimp was big and meaty. The king crab legs were also a nice treat. The crab legs were huge and could have been a meal by itself but we ordered a bit of everything to try out their menu. CJ’s is right on the strip, which was crowded and busy. We didn’t have reservations, we were walk ins so we lucked out getting a table quickly.

Kid-friendliness: Casual dining and suitable for kids.

Good seafood right on the boardwalk area. Zero wait time and we got to sit outside.

Was visiting from out of town and decided to eat here. I had the pasta, crab legs, oysters and a Caesar salad. Soon after I ate my stomach became upset, it began to ache really bad. A few hours later I was vomiting and had bad DR it was horrible. I tried to call but someone act like they did not understand what I was saying. It was just too much and I am still recovering, it was a struggle flying back home being sick. Please make sure food is cooked cleaned and handle properly.

I'm not one to leave a bad review but wow, do not go to this place. First off my 1 year old was sitting in a high chair and it broke in the middle of our dinner. Luckily we grabbed him in time before it collapsed. They did not have any other high chairs available and no apology was said. Second, my husband was served raw scallops and immediately was throwing up after we left the restaurant. When we contacted the restaurant not once but three times they hung up. We asked to speak to management and the host excuse was "he's in the bathroom." Extremely unprofessional and we should have known the restaurant was poor quality when nobody was in there eating. We are extremely disappointed in our experience and the way we were treated.

I was served raw food. When I got home after eating here I threw up for 20 minutes. Also, when we were there the high chair was wobbly and broke when my one year old was sitting on it. I never leave 1 star reviews, but this food was really really bad and made me so sick. Don’t go here if you want good seafood. I called the store to speak to a manager about how the food made me sick and the lady that answered said the manager was busy and hung up on me. Don’t go here if you’re on vacation.

The food was decent. A little too overpriced, but not bad. I just wished they had muscles in the menu (they don't)

Last minute redirect after DoubleTree restaurant was a disappointment.
Food was decent but quite overpriced! Two people at a beach bar with normal Entrees total $185!

Recommend the carb spinach dipping; not recommend the oyster dozen (yellow color, and not as fresh and well grown); other dishes we orders are crab cake, fish and chips; steam clams; nothing special, with that location in the center of the tourist district, their prices are decent.

More Like CJ’s Crab Shlack

I visited CJ’s Crab Shack on a recent trip to Miami, expecting a tidal wave of flavor but instead got hit with a splash of lukewarm mediocrity. The food? Oh, it was pleasing to the eyes—if Instagram likes could fill your stomach, I’d have been stuffed. But alas, my tongue was left utterly abandoned, wandering a desert of blandness.

The crab lacked seasoning like it was in the witness protection program, and the shrimp tasted like it was on an extended vacation from flavor. Even Old Bay would have thrown its hands up and walked out. I swear, the kitchen must have an exclusive contract with the local salt-free diet coalition.

And then there was the tap water. Miami tap water should come with a warning label, but CJ’s somehow managed to make it worse. It tasted like the ice machine moonlights as a rust collector. I ended up ordering a Coke just to cleanse the palate, and even that felt like a gourmet choice by comparison.

To top it all off, the portions were as stingy as the seasoning. The plate looked great—perfect for a postcard—but my stomach was left wondering if this was just the appetizer for another restaurant.

In summary, CJ’s Crab Shack is the culinary equivalent of a catfish: looks good in the pictures, but disappoints when it’s in front of you. Would I go back? Only if my taste buds were in dire need of a nap.

Very nice people and great service but the food is absolutely horrible. Tasted like it’s been sitting around for ages; bread was stale. Oysters were not Rockefeller they put spinach and artichoke dip on them. Just absolutely no. Go somewhere else.

The food is ok, but just ok, Don’t expect much. We only ordered two items, waited for almost 40 mins. The senior male waiter is super rude, not reach the standard as a waiter , he tried to expel us from the restaurant because he found we only waited 32mins not 40. Wow~big difference of 8mins
