Save your money and go somewhere else!! This was a complete rip off/scam! We went there for good music and cocktails and when my husband went to the bar to get 1 gin and tonic, 1st they tried to charge him $60 and included a random drink to his bill, then they fixed it and charged him $40 for just one gin and tonic. It's really not worth it. Save your money and go to a different bar!!!!

My husband and I just had such a memorable evening here, the kind you always remember as a highlight of a trip to South Beach! Ernesto the bartender was such a professional; watching him create our cocktails was to witness an artist at his craft and passion. We were there on a Wednesday so it was quiet- a perfect vibe for us as we are not club types. Just dark and sexy, with candles and a lit bookcase wall full of old books and antiquities lending the room a dark academia vibe. Apparently, the place turns into a real club atmosphere on the weekend, when the DJ is in the house. But the weekdays are super chill and speakeasy cocktail bar vibe that an average person can feel comfortable going to. It’s too dark to be a “see and be seen” kind of place anyways , even if the staff weren’t so nice and down to earth. We had four different cocktails between us and all were magnificent.
Wheelchair accessibility: The Esme hotel property lobby and ground floor gardens where El Salon is hidden is very level. I don’t recall any step-ups so I think it would be an excellent establishment for someone in a wheelchair.

First of all don't over think this go and you will not regret it. Excellent cocktails! The server was so welcoming and nice I can easily say this is the best place I have been in south beach with this kind of phenomenal customer service.

Every time a great experience! I've been to el salon for the third time and I always love coming here. The staff is super friendly and motivated and the bartenders are extremely competent when it comes to cocktails of all sorts.
