Amazing Omakase - one of the better dining experiences Miami has to offer. They sit 6 people directly at the chefs counter. The food combination's the chef's deliver are amazing. Intimate setting, with great service and outstanding food. Worth a try!

Cloistered away in the Faena hotel , this was absolutely ridiculous. The food was some of the best I have ever had, the price was otherworldly ( pre-paid so no surprise). Great sake options , the best (IMHO) was actually a $100/bottle , and they had options up to almost $2k/bottle. Service was very friendly and engaging. The Faena restaurant options are so on point and so Miami !!

Best Omakase in Miami. You can taste the difference in the first course. An unforgettable mix of flavors and the perfect amount of food. Highly recommend enjoying the experience with a group of 6 people. Can’t wait to go back.

Mixed opinions on this omakase restaurant. I'll start with, I really enjoyed the small, intimate atmosphere (only 6 seats available at the bar). I loved watching the chefs cook, as well as having conversations with them over dinner. The dinner itself had good and bad parts. I thought all of the sushi and the wagyu tasted fresh and was well-seasoned. My favorite of the fish was the fatty tuna, the sea urchin, and the bluefin tuna. The flavors were definitely a blend of Japanese and Spanish (several of the sushi rolls and soup had a spicy kick to them). The entire dinner felt VERY rushed, we had to eat each piece at record speed, to make room for the next. I did not enjoy this part at all. Also, this place is very, very overpriced, for both the experience and quality of the food.My partner also noted that he did not like that all of the fish was pre-cut before the dinner (probably contributed to them moving at warp speed during service too).

Very intimate 4 seat omakase in the Faena hotel. It was nice to have quality sushi in a quiet setting. Es h piece was really unique and fresh. The two sushi chefs were very friendly and explained how they topped each piece!

I wanted to love El Secreto. Considering its price is up there with Nossa, Hiden, and The Den, I was expecting similar quality. El Secreto is Japanese fusion, but the fusion part was where I got lost. Each bite of sushi was doused in a generous amount of lemon. I am here for acidity, but when all I can taste is lemon, and not the delicate flavors of the fish, it's problematic. It wasn't the worst experience, but it was not for me.

Highly recommend dining at the very new and very wonderful El Secreto- an Omakase experience to relish and remember! With only 6 seats, this secret hideaway delivers an intimate 15 course culinary journey, guided by the perfect host- Chef Reiji. This is one not to miss, whether staying at the Faena hotel, or stopping by!

The fish was excellent quality, but none of the varieties were that unusual. The rice was amazing and the fish was cut well, the toppings were for the most part well balanced and it was an excellent omakase, however I left hungry, and overall the meal was overpriced, but I guess people are paying for the experience more so than the meal itself. I could have gone to Wabi Sabi and spent half as much, had a bottle of sake as well, and the experience would have been just as good if not better.

Waste of money - not special and barely no food served and it tasted the same - don’t go there and waste your time and stay hungry

Waste of money and time - not enough food and all the dishes tasted the same - don’t try it since it shouldn’t worth $300 per person and not even $100

This was by far one of the highlights of the trip. A perfect hideaway with a small group of attendees. The food was beyond superb. Every dish served perfectly and was better than the next
