Poor and slow service, used glasses on the table, wine bottle is not put cold, once never again.

I had breakfast here today. It was horrible. The food here falls under the category of "plastic food". You know, the "cancun stupid tourist" standard. They have the nerve to serve a 20 dollars egg plate that is not even egg, it was one of those spongy instant egg they serve at large buffets that tastes like nothing and have the most horrid texture. The server was fantastic, I have nothing to say about him. However, expecting actual eggs for a 20 dollars plate shouldn't be something out of this world. And I say that without even mentioning the stone-line chorizo it was served with.My husband's all American breakfast was also horrible. I can't understand how they were able to ruin even the sausage and the bacon. Absolutely tasteless.Don't waste your money here. I'll have breakfast somewhere else tomorrow.

I had the miso salmon and it was delicious. My husband had the filet and it was perfect. I had a tasty ginger spritzer. The ambiance was cozy and not loud. We went to the bar afterwards and enjoyed another drink.

Excellent service par Alessia et ambiance Tropicale ou Louisiane très très agréable. Nourriture 5* À améliorer: ambiance un peu plus feutrée avec musique ? un peu moins forte serait appréciée.

The service was great. Everyone was on top of it with a smile. I had the chicken and it was fantastic. Atmosphere was nice. There was a wedding reception next to us, so we even got to listen to some of their jams as well.

Food took a long time (40 minutes) to be served, but we were comped additional drinks. The appropriate utensils were not provided; used dinner forks to dig mussels out of shells and had to ask for finger bowls to clean hands.

Went with a party of 7 with the restaurant not being full. South Beach is notoriously slow, but the service timing was top 3 worst I've seen when living in Miami for 10 years. 25 minutes just for bread service to arrive, which then tacked time to our appetizers and entrees. We would have just ordered entrees if we knew it would take that long. Singular glass of wine, over half an hour when we were looking at an empty bar and asked for it multiple times. It was borderline entertaining how slow everything was. We started making bets on when something would arrive and/or if we'd see what we ordered at all. The hotel is beautiful, but you couldn't pay me to dine here again. Time is money and they did nothing but take that away.

We came here for a short vacation and had a wonderful time. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and compared to other restaurants in the area it was very reasonable. What made it special though were the staff members. I don't want to name them on a public review, but will be contacting management to give them praise. We were at the hotel for only 4 nights and ate there 3 times and breakfast each morning.

I ordered 4 course meal and it sucked. The beet salad had a spoiled smell. The lamb shank I ordered they served from refrigerator perhaps did not even warm it enough. This experience was terrible. Servers are good.

This was out first experience at Essentia and we were very pleased. The restaurant had Florida " old plantation" vibes. The atmosphere was pleasant. The fool was excellent. We loved the "farm to table" concept - and the menu listed where some of the food items were sourced from. The food presentation was great! Our server was attentive and friendly. Definitely a good experience!

Food was very good. I had a skirt steak. Not the best cut but they made it work.

Love the atmosphere out on the veranda at the far end of the lobby. We live locally and eat at the Palms 2 or 3 times per year for many years. For the fist time, my food was underwhelming. Salmon was overcooked and Forbidden Rice which I have never had before was tasteless and hard. Don't know if they changed chefs. Disappointing, but we will be back again based on a long history of being served excellent food.

Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Food was consistent. Service and the overall organization with staff was not good and it seems like they weren't the most coordinated as far as seating, ordering, food timing, etc but the overall ambiance was nice enough and they were polite.

Food was fair at best! The chicken sandwich was inedible. The soup was right from the can. We told our waiters that sandwich was cold and bread was very hard as well as the soup was cold and not very good. Zero response. Not a memorable Christmas meal!
