The worst experience I've ever had dining. Seriously, has never happened to me, EVER. On Cinco de Mayo we had a reservation for two at 7:30pm. We were sat down and there was barely anyone there. About 4 tables of people. We waited for 25 minutes before we got up and left. We were NEVER greeted by any waiter, never offered water, nothing. All the staff talking at the bar, manager sitting at a random table on her laptop. The biggest joke of a place. The place wasn't even busy and they just completely forgot us. We wasted money on an Uber to get there then had to look for somewhere to eat and wasted more money on another Uber to the restaurant we found to go after. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, JOKE OF A PLACE.

I've been at Gitano before, and the experience last night was consistent. For one, even though I ran late and had to modify my reservation, I was able to get that resolved by phone so I appreciate that. My friend and I loved the chorizo and queso Fundo appetizer, and my kisses in the car drink (a mix of mezcal and rum) was a delicious spicy surprise. As far as my main, I stuck with ny cochinita pibil dish which was delicious as always!

Gitano has become a staple for us when staying on Miami beach. We absolutely love the unique small plates, craft cocktails and ambience. The music is a little loud, but what a gem of a restaurant. It never disappoints.

A-mazing food and flavors. Facundo, our incredible server/host for the night, helped us select a foodie’s delight of a tasting menu for our large party. They accommodated us at the last minute and never skipped a beat on service. Cocktails and desserts not to be missed.

What has kept me going back over the years is the great food BUT it shocks me that management has not done anything to improve service. This has been a persistent and terrible flaw of this establishment. Service here is probably THE WORST among restaurants of this level and price. Nevertheless, 20% is automatically added to the bill and upon receiving the bill the server has the audacity to mention that that’s only for the team and to add anything additional for her. I would definitely go more often once service levels the incredible food. For now I plan not to return.
Seating outside was the best. That day the music/ DJ was moved from the rooftop to inside and therefore the noise level inside was very high for my taste. Service was very good and the food as well. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed that night but it seems very nice. Inside the hotel it is beautiful and tastefully decorated.

Last night in Miami Beach and TRUST, this is how to cap a perfect vacation. The food is fabulous, fresh and delectable! My kids loved it as well…Wendy our server was fabulous! We shall be back!!
