High Tide has such a great energy. The bar service is consistently attentive, the staff is kind and welcoming, the DJ music is on point, and the ambiance makes it an easy place to linger and enjoy the afternoon.

Drinks are not that great, but pricey and not cold enough at this outside bar. The bar inside the hotel has a different menu and the drinks are colder and better.

The food is more than fine, just be prepared to wait an hour for straightforward dishes that should take significantly less time. Vibes good because at pool and close to beach

Great to be seated and have a drink served. Good is mediocre and they stop serving at 4 on the beach (already rained 1 to 3 so no service) which is the whole point of picking this place and not all the other on the strip who have no beach service

Your South Beach Oasis: HIGH Tide Restaurant
If you're looking for a spot to relax by the pool, enjoy some delicious food and drinks at happy hour, and groove to some great music, then HIGH Tide is the place for you!
Located inside the Surfcomber Hotel in South Beach, HIGH Tide welcomes everyone, not just hotel guests. You can still enjoy a fantastic day by the pool or on the beach by getting a Resort Day Pass.
I personally rode my bike there, but you have plenty of other transportation options. They offer valet parking, there's paid street parking available, and you can also find public parking nearby. It's definitely worth checking out!

The restaurant is integrated into the hotel but has an oddly separate atmosphere that creates a unique vibe. The food was decent, featuring a mix of local flavors and classic dishes, but it didn't stand out as exceptional. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, which hindered the overall experience, especially given that we were quite hungry. The prices reflect the typical Miami Beach rates, so be prepared for a bit of a splurge. The setting is a highlight, with a beautiful view of the pool that enhances the ambiance, making it a great spot for a leisurely meal. However, the drink selection left much to be desired; the beers were served warm—definitely not refreshing on a hot day—and the margaritas lacked the zing you'd expect, tasting overly simplistic. With a bit more attention to detail in both the menu and the drink offerings, I genuinely believe this place could transform into a real hit for both guests and locals alike.
Fantastic service! I took both my mom and grandmother here, when they both hadn’t really been to South Beach and were unsure on things.
The staff was extremely helpful and made us feel right at home! Great cocktails and appetizers/snacks!
Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, even when my grandmother (who doesn’t drink alcohol) asked for a cherry coke and they made her one custom that she loved!
The watermelon sushi, mojitos and pita bread are on point!
Thank you to the excellent staff and cooks for a great time!

Purchased a resort pass through Kimpton and stayed for the day waiting for our flight, after the end of our cruise. The food was definitely trendy, and a little expensive but absolutely amazing. As a group of four, we ordered several items and shared. Everything was devoured and the kids ordered two extra bowls of the gelato, which is delightfully served with a beautiful orchid.
The service was very pleasant, attentive without being on top of you and or overall great.
The only downsides are if you run a cabana you're required to have a $250 minimum between food and alcohol which feels a little high. Also tip is automatically added which is disappointing because once the restaurant decides that they're going to insert a tip it makes you feel like maybe they should just pay their workers a little higher.
The pool was a perfect temperature and there was plenty of room for people to both lounge and for families to play. The beach is also immediately behind the hotel / restaurant, and also operates Oceanside chairs with umbrellas.
Overall good experience and would still recommend.
Side note. The day we were visiting we had four adults and two children. (12M, 10F). There also happened to be a swimsuit modeling shoot/audition in the same area that the restaurant, pool and outside facilities are located. While this is perfectly fine, it wasnt advertised in any way I would have been able to determine in advance (that it was happening at the same place) and I probably wouldn't have taken my children to hangout for this event. Having women wearing next to nothing with numbers attached to their bodies while they pose seductively wasn't the best family experience
