Angel the bartender is a boss. He’s friendly, makes great recommendations and provides witty banter for your experience. This is a great beach bar off the boardwalk in SOBE that allows outside guests. They have great music with a DJ. The watermelon sushi, empanadas, and chickpea salad is amazing. I loved the view of the beach! We really enjoyed our meal here.
We were staying at the hotel (Surfcomber by Kimpton) and we spent the morning by the pool and then meandered to High Tide for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and food - much better than what you typically get at a hotel, poolside spot.
We liked the smash burger and the steak sandwich most. And they have great fries!

They included a service charge within the bill, total was $31. I gave $40 in cash and the waitress said ‘do you want change?’.As a foreigner, I added a 21% tip because I did not know a service charge was included. So they made about 40% from me and were not honest enough to tell me. To make it worse the waitresses insinuation of ‘do you want the change’ is totally unacceptable.Yes, I do want my change! Don’t ask silly questions.Food was okay, no smoking area which is annoying.

Not super impressed with this place. Not only did we wait a long time to get our food, it didn't taste very good. I only had a few bites and it didn't even taste like what the menu described. We also had a pretty expensive tab for only a few drinks and a wrap. The bartenders were flinging cups around and getting alcohol all over the bar.
