This restaurant is located in the Generator hotel where my friends and I stayed on vacation recently. The restaurant has good hours, but is unfairly overpriced. Their happy hour deals are a sham: an order of tacos normally comes with two for around $15 but the happy hour special is $7...for one taco. Negronis are on special all day for $10 but they give you half of a small plastic cup. The majority of their drinks are made with mezcal but are premixed, so if you don't like mezcal, you are SOL. Breakfast was cold and overpriced as well, so we made every effort to not patronize the restaurant.

We ordered the catch of the day tacos, fantastic! 2 crispy fish tacos with pickled purple shredded cabbage! We also got the chopped salad with chicken. This was also wonderful! The dressing was so tasty! The corn chips were fresh and salsa had great flavor! We also snagged the cheese quesidilla, which we wouldn't get again. No taste but they were very cheesy!

The food at all possible times would be better, but the prices are excessive and the manager is a tremendous jerk, he pretends to take care of the Generator Miami hotel, and the alcoholic beverages are not at a good level, the restaurant and hotel employees are excellent, the bad He is the administrator and speaks several languages, the main language is Spanish, I think he is Argentinian!

Super tasty fresh food with ample vegan/vegetarian options. Staff and atmosphere have great vibes. Tried tacos, tostadas, and a salad. All great!

Near the hostel Generator Miami. The food is 7/10, service is not good. I feel they are arrogant for no reason (not everyone but as least a few servers). At least relatively cheap choice near Miami beach.

Food is absolutely banging but the service is awful. Barely spoke to us. Wasn’t greeted. Bare minimum guidance or help. Not a standard sit down restaurant. You order and then come pick up your food and take it to your table which is fine but no one told us so we didn’t know what the deal was. But like I said. Food. Burrito was a 9/10 but the chips were stale thus a 4/5. Go here for food only (also slightly pricey but nothing crazy crazy)

Hoja Taqueria in Miami Beach is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and authenticity that set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The ambiance is lively and vibrant. The service was impeccable; Natasha was knowledgeable and passionate about the cuisine, offering recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty. We cannot wait to go back, 10/10!!

Corrosive Behavior

It felt like it was more concerned with being a club on a Thursday than a restaurant. We waited 15 mins before someone acknowledged us stand next to the sign that says, "Please wait to be seated." The entire time a DJ is playing Bass blasting music into an empty hotel lobby.Once we were seated, we were excited to order food and drinks. We placed an order of two margaritas, al pastor tacos, sweet potato burrito, and Mexican corn. They brought out drinks and share plates for the Mexican corn appetizer. We waited another 25ish (dance music filled) mins when our mains were delivered, and we had not received the appetizer. The waiter went back into the kitchen, so I assumed he was going to get it.It was almost an act of God to flag him down again over what I could only imagine is the sound of a humming birds heartbeat turned up to 11. I said hey I think they may have forgotten about our corn. With no response, he walked away. We waited another 15mins before I had to physically go get someone to give us our check. I said, "Look, I don't know what's going on with the corn anymore, but we would just like to have our check. We have been here much longer than we would like to be." I was told the corn was on the way. I told him we've been here over an hour at this point, and there's no way to know if this is true. The food was very underwhelming for the price. The chips were arguably the best thing, but the salsa was almost more of a cheap marinara. Yeah, that's not a mistake, Marinara. The drinks were okay but not worth $16.This place is every bit of a mistake. The service is so poor, it's not worth your 20% auto gratuity. This is not the spot.

Staying at Generator, I tried their in house taqueria Hoja. It’s Miami, you expect to pay premium for food. However, service staff though capable, we’re unfortunately unwelcoming and flat blasé in personality. I ordered the catch of the day. Though tasty, the fish portion was embarrassingly small. Two small tacos, and chips for $18. I inquired as to the small taco portions, and the server just shrugged his shoulders. 20% gratuity included is obvious reason staff is overall unfriendly on the Thursday eve I ate there. I’ll be requesting redo, from mgmt. on my next visit.
