Disappointing experience at Il Pastaiolo Italian Restaurant in South Beach, Miami Beach. They were out of bread (which can happen), but the portions were ridiculously small compared to the exorbitant prices. The staff tried to clear our plates before we even finished our last bite, creating a rushed and unpleasant atmosphere. The venue is nice but nothing special—definitely doesn’t justify its high rating or cost. Skip it unless you’re fine overpaying for underwhelming food.

After reading the reviews our family decided to drive an hour to Miami Beach for a special Christmas Eve dinner. We had a 7:30pm reservation and arrived around 7:10pm. After waiting until 8:00pm, we approached the hostess for the third time after noticing people arriving after us being seated. We were then accommodated around 8:15pm. The food, the service and our server were excellent! They even gave us complimentary after dinner drinks for the inconvenience. However, very disappointed, after promising our grandson he could order the table-side prepared fettuccine, learning to find out it is not offered at that location, as advertised on website. For the hour drive, next time we'll stay closer to home.
