I had a wonderful time at Japón last night! After seeing some negative reviews I was a little worried as I can be picky. The team did a wonderful job at giving us a great meal! The food came out in perfect timing, the raw fish dishes were high quality. The miso cod was cooked perfectly. They even brought us an off menu dish my friend requested. ❤️ We were treated like guests in a home and didn’t have to ask a waiter for assistance as they were checking on us right when we needed something. I want to give my biggest thanks to Alberto who was making sure everything ran smoothly for our group. He was once of the best service experiences I’ve had in a long time. Thanks so much Japón team!

The food was terrible! I had the worst toro tuna in my life. But the service is great and the atmosphere is ok (it doesn’t get to a Mila level for example).

This place is amazing. King crab sushi plate was my favorite. The atmosphere and music gets you a lot of energy. The cocktails are really good taste and nice decor…🍸the show was really short but kind of good!

Couldn’t eat, after i made a reservations i arrived to the Valet and they said they had no parking, i even offered $200 to get me parked. They said to go to a garage 2 blocks away. Imagine expecting to spend over $1k for diner and parking a $400k car 2 blocks away. Very cheap and poor management, if you have no space why don’t you rent the garage and park the cars there. Don't open a high end restaurant if you don't have high end infrastructure.

I went to Japón last Friday, and honestly, I was so excited since I’d been wanting to go there for a while. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t what I expected. Our reservation was at 9pm, and we were a group of three girls. We ended up waiting an hour for a table, even after checking in with the hostess every 20 minutes—she was pretty rude to us too. Once we finally got seated, it took another 30 minutes for the server to come by. So, from the time we arrived to the time we ordered, it was about 1.5 hours, which was really disappointing.
The food came quickly and was amazing, but by then, the restaurant was almost empty, so the vibe was off. Plus, I wasn’t thrilled to find out we were seated in the same area as the Setai main restaurant.

My husband and I had dinner here. I am Japanese and moved to Miami 12 years ago. I don't miss anything from my country except food and tranquility. I have lived in France and London, visited few restaurants in many places but here Japón is my favorite and I would say this is most authentic and also I prefer meal here more than Japan to be honest.
We tried most of the recommendations, and all meals everything everybite were amazing. Their Sake selection is marvelous. Our server Anthonio (Sorry if I misspelled) and Jewel was spectacular. Even managers came stop by for checking on us for making sure we have everything we need. Japón reminded me something my country sadly started forget about "Service with heart".
On top of those experiences, the entertaining was breathtaking. Japón The Setai is the place true paradise. It's oasis of happiness convination all the best of Asian culture and Miami. We can't wait to go back to experience other restaurants Jaya and Ocean Grill. The day we visited Setai was life changing. It gave us motivation that in some day, we want to be successful as much as we can experience everything of this magnificent property, and would love to bring all our friends and family to this place.
This place truly makes you feel you are special and important.
Thank you so much The Setai Japón for your hospitality from your heart. See you soon!

We had a reservation at 8:45, they gave us a table at 9:45.
The hostess advised me to make a reservation for 7:00 pm)) Waiting for a table for an hour is disrespect for guests. The food was not impressive, we ordered TUNA CRISPY RICE, WAGYU SLIDERS, TORO TARTARE and added additional BLACK CAVIAR, SHRIMP TEMPURA and Opera for the dessert. They gave us a table in the neighboring restaurant Jaya and the menu was from Japón.
