This was the absolute worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had in Miami when we visited this cantina as a family. The first thing we noticed was the friendliness of the hostess and server. However, we had to wait about 25 minutes for our food. It was evening, but the restaurant was not busy—there were plenty of empty tables.
The biggest disappointment was the sauce for the Red Snapper. It looked absolutely disgusting, like someone had vomited into a container and served it as a sauce. It was beyond awful. We were extremely disappointed—as if someone was mocking us by serving that sauce.
This completely ruined our impression of Ocean Drive and this supposedly “great” place. We strongly do not recommend it. On top of that, the prices are insane—outrageously expensive for what you get.
This place deserves 0 stars and is an absolute tourist trap on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. Avoid it at all costs.

We were at Kantina on Monday night and Mica attended us, super friendly and willing to explain everything about the menu. She and Erick were very hospitable, kind and friendly. The food was super delicious and fresh, we tried shrimp tempura tacos, crispy calamari and fajitas. To drink we ordered frozen margaritas (a delight). Excellent place and much better service!
