Our server NuNu was energetic and attentive. The food was outstanding. crispy tuna rice and crispy Brussels (and everything else) was excellent.
This is our go to restaurant when we are visiting Miami Beach. The ambience is light and lively, great music system. The service is top notch. Kudos to the kitchen team as the food is always fantastic. Great selection of interesting items to dine on and great bar selection. The restaurant and hotel will begin remodel in May so hurry in.
We had a Glutjw allergy at our table and let them know ahead of time. Two things with Gluten were ordered but we were not aware. Tip: ginger dressing has gluten. Also my sons Wagyu was so chewy and tough and could not eat it. They took it off the bill but did not offer another one. The chef agreed it was chewy. Then why serve it. It was also the beginning of Electronic Music Festival (we did not know) and it was so loud we could hardly talk over the music.
Have been to restaurant in past. The food and service was not up to standard we have remembered.
Not a nice atmosphere. Okay for lunch but not a nice dinner vibe. Need to dim the lights and paint the walls darker. Food was okay.
Disappointed with fried rice, flavors to Sushi was average, rock shrimp was too fried and too much sauce
This what a hot spot. Shows I'm out of the loop as it's mot anymore. We were one of three tables sat. Food was mediocre at best. Server was very nice and attentive. Just wasn't what it used to be.
The best part of our experience was our waiter. He was excellent. I have eaten here many times over the years as well as other locations. The food was terrible this time. I don't know what happened. It was as if they spilled a salt shaker on everything. We sent back the corn ribs and spicy edamame. The Brussel sprouts were drowning in a salty sauce, the fried rice with avocado was tasteless, the cucumber salad drowning in a salty sauce. I felt bad or would have sent everything back.
I NEVER leave 5 stars, ever. The food was amazing. The short rib fried rice is a must. Sushi is amazing. Rayne (definitely spelled her name wrong) was one of the best servers we’ve had. This place should have more than a 4 star rating.
We used to go to Katsuya often but had not been in a while. It's not the same, the food was mediocre at best and we even had to return a plate because it just didn't taste fresh. Also the valet was $36 which we found excessive. Unfortunately I can't say I'll go back.

Perfect spot to go for dinner. It has a very intimate vibe I’d go here for special occasions like a date or to have a boogie hang out with friends. The food is delish

Definitely will come back!! Jesse took absolutely great care of us at the bar. Drinks are amazingly delicious and creative. Lots of different, new flavors that we could not hold back ordering all the drinks 1 by 1. Bites were truly superb. This rest is inside SLS Miami Beach. They are everything you need for nice drink before heading into the Filmore for a venue....

UPDATE, someone higher up helped resolve our issue and is working to ensure this terrible service and unhelpful behavior doesn't happen from any employees, servers or managers, again.
I wish I could give zero stars. When I say our waiter messed up in every aspect possible. Gave the menus we asked for to the wrong table. Wrong orders left and right. Missed orders. Maybe checked on us 5 times in the THREE HOURS it took to eat our meal just because of how slow service was. Then When we complained about this service and the auto gratuity they gave us $10 back on an over $400 bill…. Do not go here. And do not have Harold as your server. Think the manager will fix it? She won’t.

This was outstanding. I have been going to the Katsuya in LA for years, and once in south beach, my south beach experience let me down the first time so I was sceptical of trying it again after reading some of the reviews. But I'm here to say don't listen. We did the happy hour menu, it's was superb, food and cocktails were 10/10, we also ordered off the regular menu, also delish. They delivered, the ambiance was great, service great, food mouth watering.
Delicious Food, Friendly Staff. Just a bit hard to find the place but on top of all ?
