This was an incredible experience all around, the place is gorgeous, service was out of this world, so kind and accommodating. Very memorable, don’t get lost in the beautiful mirror maze bathroom.Kid-friendliness: I didn’t specify that we had kids when I made the reservation so they couldn’t sit us at the bar, and they let us dine in a private beautiful area and were Incredibly accommodating

It was lovely! I enjoyed the most the hamachi ponzu and tuna crispy rice! Mushroom was excellent, rolls were good. The wagyu tartar was a nice experience too, but only if you like spicy! Service was great!

Everything solid, had a nice dinner, fish quality was great. The chefs selection of sashimi looked brilliant.

Disappointing unfortunately. Came in excited cause I hadn't been to Katsuya in a while and honestly think the chain's quality has gone down (used to go to the LA Live location often but this was the first time at the Miami Beach location). We came in late so we put the full order in when we sat which wasn't a problem and the server was very nice and attentive. The restaurant itself is very nice but it's too bad that the taste is mediocre considering the price point. The dessert was the best tasting dish.

Terrible customer service place is completely empty and they told me I can't cancel reservation same day (20 min after making the reservation) with $50pp charge. Ridiculous money grab. Should be out of business

Katsuya was once one of my favorite restaurants, hands down. Whether is was West Hollywood, Las Vegas (now closed), Miami or Nassau, Bahamas, I always jumped at the chance to dine at one of their locations. Tonight, I made a reservation for the south beach Miami location since I'm in town for a conference and I thought it odd that there had only been 8 reservations today. When I arrived, the service started out ok. My waiter took my food and drink orders, and initially he was attentive enough. Not friendly, but acceptable. Then he disappeared without saying anything and eventually another waiter came over to ask if I needed anything. At the time, I was eating my entree, so said no thanks. After that initial ask, she never came back until I finally had to inquire from a kitchen staff member. When she finally came to my table, she understood that she had completely neglected any further service. I told her that I was finished and asked for my tab. She tried several times to get me to order another cocktail or dessert "on the house". I declined anything further so she finally brought the check. In retrospect, the food was mediocre at best and i probably would have let it go. But after the terrible service, I simply couldn't not leave a review. Sad, but frankly if they don't make improvements all around, I'm not very optimistic about their future. In light of only eight reservations on open table, it appears that locals have already figured it out and I'm late to the game.. Sad!!

I've been a big fan of all locations of Katsuya until now. Unfortunately, dining at the south beach location this week was a disappointing experience. The food was just ok, but the service was not so much. Hopefully they will get enough let than stellar reviews and improve.

Our elderly waiter was pleasant enough. Once our check was presented, I noticed 20% gratuity wasn't included. When he returned with the slip for us to sign, the itemized receipt was gone and the slip where it has a space for gratuity was underlined in pen. Only assume the waiter thought we didn't remember that the gratuity was included after two bottles of sake. It is outrageous that this waiter attempted to get us to leave another gratuity. he did the same exact thing to the table to our left into our right. We were all discussing it. We all asked for our itemized receipt to be reprinted and returned to us. We were two people who were enjoying our night. Our bill was $638 including his 20% gratuity, which was more than enough, I poured my own water and poured my own sake. The simple fact that he thought he was entitled to more than 20% was outrageous and we will never return. I'm sure he gets away with it with some people who are absolutely clueless , but shame on him

We had an early New Year’s Eve dinner at Katsuya and had the best time. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great.

My wife and I went here for our 1st wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it! The ambiance was beautiful and elegant. The wait staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The food was mouth watering! Super delicious and just melted in your mouth. Will definitely come again!

I never got my food. It was a family dinner. They bought out each person meal individually. By the time my food came out my wife and daughter were finished eating. I just refused my meal. Expectef better service.

Excellent food and service, but sadly they add the tips of 20% on behalf of you on the check and they give you a check pretending that you have to add another tip. What is totally not fair.
