We recently stayed at Kimpton Angler’s Miami Beach Hotel for four nights as a family. While the hotel itself has a nice design and good location, our experience was seriously marred by unexpected charges after we checked out. I was shocked to find that my bank account had been debited for a Red Bull and a “missing” yoga mat around 50 USD — neither of which we ever used or even saw during our stay. We don’t drink Red Bull, and I certainly never touched a yoga mat. As a family with children, we were very careful and respectful of the room and the property. I immediately reached out to the hotel, requested a call back, and asked for an explanation — but have received no response whatsoever. The lack of communication is disappointing and makes me question the hotel’s standards for guest service and trust. Even more concerning, I want to warn other travelers: these charges were relatively small, which makes me wonder if this is a recurring practice — small enough that most guests won’t notice or won’t bother disputing them. If that’s the case, it’s deeply unethical. This experience has left me feeling anxious. I had expected much better from a Kimpton property and would strongly caution others to double-check their charges after staying here..

great rooftop bar and pool - highly recommend ..

Nice hotel, everyone was friendly and helpful. Jacuzzi villa was very cute and comfortable, and great location. Rooftop bar and pool is a great way to spend the day outside of the hecticness that is Miami. Nice to have breakfast downstairs as well, despite the slowest service I've ever seen. Would come back
5 hours of wait to check in is the worst nightmare, unpresidented in my 40 years of travel. Restaurant is mediocre. Lots of room for improvement. Food top pool is nevertheless breathtaking, so is the convenient location.

The hotel is well located for both beach and trolley/other busses up and down Miami beach and into central Miami. Our room was clean, well maintained, unlike some other reviewers have said, with good Aircon and safe. Service was good too.

When we checked in we were shown to our room, 10 minutes later we find two dirt towels hung behind the bathroom door, their solution was to send up more linen then call us a liar and that the towels must have been from us. Would not recommend.
Rooms: Dirty and improperly cleaned

Room was really nice service at El Patio was decidedly average and very inconsistent

Disappointed this was a $400 a night hotel and we got a room with scratched floors, shotty cosmetic jobs throughout the room, no full length mirror 🙃, poorly designed bathroom where the floor kept getting soaked because it only has half a glass shower. Housekeeping did very light cleaning.
I asked for a hair straightener on three separate occasions (which is included in their list of things they’ll provide you if you ask) and never received it.
Two pros: if you check in with kids, they’ll let you borrow beach toys. The staff overall were very kind and attentive but they cannot carry this hotel. The rooms need upgrades/renovations.

Would recommend paying a bit more for a 5 star hotel and better experience. Do not recommend this place especially for the price point. Feels stingy, basic things need to be requested (I.e. Tooth paste). Room was fine, mirror awkwardly located. TV old. If your Room is along 6th street, good luck getting sleep through the car horn honking all night. I was honestly impressed by the lack of sound insulation. Resort fee seems unnecessary, I know it's common practice for many hotels in the area, and it's a small fee. My issue is a complete lack of appreciable value for the fee. Staff are nice. Valet parking is convenient. Good location close to beach. But imo many better options in the area, even just paying only slightly more

Don't know why paid $300 for this luxury hotel, not luxury
Someone removed all cords from phone and TV as if there was a drug deal going on in there from the previous guest
I told staff twice and they didn't seem to conference nor did they fix the problem and come check , nor replace the cords
Also very rude staff I drove a long time to be there and they told me I don't want to pay for garage parking and I said I most certainly do
They argued a bit
Back and forth and I had to say very clearly I don't care I want the gargage space it's not about money!!
Not my idea of helpful and accommodating
Rooms: Not clean
Safety: Definitely didn't feel the safest considering there was probably a large drug deal that happened in my room the previous night

How do I express what I feel? Just move on! This is pure and complete fraud! We paid $399 plus taxes in a 4-star hotel that has two buildings! One is indeed 4 stars and the other barely a star as my photos attest! We booked via Expedia and the choice of rooms is up to the hotel.. result in an unrenovated room, in its original state with curtains of different lengths, damaged wooden floors on all sides, indescribable street noise:.. really for that price we would have liked to change but they were full and they offered in their great generosity to reimburse us to find a 4 star hotel ourselves the same evening! Finally they promised that their inaccessible manager the morning we were there would call me back... blessed person Nada! Nothing! Nothing! No services! Just the breakfast was good and friendly…In short, crossing the Atlantic to discover this kind of dishonesty, it’s a shame!!! Finally when we arrived, the telephone and the safe did not work, one towel for two! In short, quickly forget this hotel and find a hotel that will be worthy of your money!
Rooms: Poor
Noteworthy details: Not a 4 star, barely a star! Poor service...

This hotel suited our needs perfectly. From the moment we walked in and were offered drinks, we experienced 5 star service here. The room was clean and nicely designed. It was quite large and well appointed. The pool deck was great and had nice views, and the restaurant was also quite good. There was free coffee and tea in the morning, and a managers happy hour with free drinks that we didn't attend. There were bikes you could borrow, and water bottle fillers on each floor. The location was great, near everything on South Beach and lots of restaurants and shops near by. The service alone would have me coming back, but the whole experience was amazing. I would absolutely stay here again.
