5555 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
Great food and service! It is hidden inside a hotel, just go into the reception and ask. Best steak I’ve had for months??
My first visit to Miami Beach and we hit all the top restaurants by ethnicity. LOLA, WOW! Everything we ate and drank was exceptional. Argentine Ceviche appetizer was fantastic, Boconocini De Parma and the Spaghetti Frutti De Mare were delicious and the only thing better than the home made Tiramisu was the home made Chocolate Mousse. Oh, wait.. the home made red sangria made with Argentine Malbec! The best ever. Do not miss this restaurant if you are visiting Miami Beach.
Service was wonderful: the perfect amount of attention. We had several appetizers, an assortment of steaks and chicken entreés, and shared a dessert. EVERYTHING was delicious! There were 4 of us celebrating our sister’s birthday and we all loved it. Would definitely go back.
Lovely place ! Me and my boyfriend went for our date night and we both enjoyed the sliders and bleu cheese croquettes for appetizers . For the entrees we both had the skirt steak which was also yummy , aside from not enjoying so much the mashed potatoes. - I was able to get sweet potato fries as a replacement side and a complimentary Prosecco . Great service ! And would recommend to others .
The food and the service was GREAT!!!!
The food and the service was GREAT!!!! A perfect place to have dinner or even to start your night by coming in and having an appetizer or a meal and having great wine. The food is very good and tasty their service was amazing. Real smiles everywhere and the waitresses and waiters we're very consistent. The owner is very nice and gave us a warm welcome. We had salads and steaks were very very delicious I definitely recommend this place to everyone
Everything was the great. A hidden gem. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes to Miami Beach 5 stars plus one ?
Had visited in Miami and tried this place. Quite good service and really giving effort to make you satisfied. Food and deserts were quite awesome. Well in other words great service and everything. Keep it up
I live in the building and i ordered pick up for a Fettuccine Alfredo and chicken add on. $20 dollars for TASTELESS CHICKEN and more pasta than protein. On top of that, they made me wAit 10 minutes so it can be made because they suspect that people will order then not pick it up. Ridiculous. Waste of money.
We visited Lola's on Lincoln (?) last spring and had such a fabulous experience I didn't hesitate to recommend them when we were in town this weekend for a bachelorette party. Phillip took our reservation last week, followed up with Saturday afternoon, and then delivered on first class service and food upon arrival. Lola's Barbis beeer and wIne only; but, their house wines are very affordable (by bottle) and good quality. Every morsel, from the appetizers to the end were beautifully presented and mouth watering. Apps--do not miss the mussels or the ceviche. Fantastic!!!
We had a great dining experience at Lola the other night.
If I could give it a 0 I would. It took 30 minutes for waiter to ask if we wanted anything to drink and we had to ask him. Food was mediocre, steak ordered extra rare came out medium rare, another customer in the party ordered medium rare, and almost no pink visible. Flank steak was tough, although good flavor. Took so long for waiter to ask if we wanted dessert, we didn't get any. Will not be back ever.
We went to this restaurant based on the reviews. Unfortunately our reserved table took 30min to become available, which I can live with....its busy. Once shown to our table, the service becomes non existent. Another 30 minutes before anyone shows up to offer water or drinks and no bread...other tables were receiving. Finally ordered food which did come within normal timeframes. My wife had the fish of the day I had the chicken and my daughter the steak. The food was cooked well, but had no flavour, it was bland. This can come down to personal taste but we did order meals that we expected to have something to enjoy. After having to fill our glasses during the meal...again ignored by the staff, we paid the bill with the mandatory 20% gratuity. I noticed other diners having a great night and seemed to be getting great service, but that was not our experience.
Best ever food and good service??
This is a must go too if you are in Miami Beach and want a great meal with an elegant atmosphere. There were 3 of us in our party and all dishes we had were amazing along with desert. The entire staff was polite, fast and caring! Don't let it stop you just because it is in a condo building. You will not be disappointed! Happy New Year!
Fine, but not amazing. This restaurant is in one of the condo buildings along the water and feels a little like a cruise ship or resort dining room - that sort of "let's make it feel like a restaurant" vibe that doesn't feel the same as a high-end place that set out to be in the restaurant business. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was OK - a solid B - not bad if you want something nearby, but we walked in with high expectations because it had a 4.5 star rating on Yelp.
First I was concerned because of the location. It's inside a Miami Beach condominium. Restaurant won't validate Valet Parking. Very poor wine selection for a steak / Pasta menu. Another problem is that they don't have a liquor license so only Beer and wine. Food was pretty descent and the service was excellent.
We had a great dining experience at Lola the other night. Our waitress was very nice. They have an extensive wine list and she not only was helpful describing them but also let us try a few. We were both happy with our selections. My wife ordered the beet salad and added shrimp. It was outstanding! Good sized portion and the beet/goat cheese combo was tasty. I had the skirt steak with a side of spinach au gratin. Sometimes skirt steaks can be chewy, but not this one. It was one of the better steaks I've had in a while and the spinach complimented it well. For dessert we had the triple chocolate brownie which was very good Overall we had a great experience and will likely come back next time we are in Miami
We so enjoyed our meal, conversation with our waiter and other servers, and the warm ambience. The environment is upscale but casual dress is acceptable. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Excellent service. The food was delectable. We loved the gnocchi and the cannelloni. The desserts were lovely as well. Highly recommend!
Great place with excellent service and the food was delicious
Good food and really nice atmosphere. Appetizers were great, The Black bean burger was big and very good.
great tortilla soup and margaritas
Very hard to find, but great food and service if you manage to! There are very few restaurants in the area and Lolas is nicely decorated with good reasonably priced food. Maybe a sign at the front of the building would be helpful!
The best service ever seen. They are super sweet. Great food, with a spectacular flavor and several specials that make you want to come back ... one of my favorite Miami Beach restaurants
Perfect music. Amazing place. Great atmosphere. Everything was well organised. Great sitting section. Food was delicious. Staff were polite. Presentation of food was great.
Delicious gem found on the strip. The music is quiet enough to enjoy conversation, the service is impeccable, and the food is worth every penny. It's even on the trolley line, so you can get to it quickly
We were staying at Fountainebleau and had a great meal the night before at the Italian joint there. But wanted to find something offsite, so went online and found these guys. Excellent choice indeed. First, we eat out a lot and have meals all over the world. My wife can be very particular and she raved about the food. The special seafood soup was loaded with great seafood and had an amazing broth. The Chimichurri sauce was fantastic with my Flap Steak, with the steak being perfectly cooked to medium rare and a nice cut. Not as good as a filet or a ribeye, but a really fun and very generous cut of meat for the $26 price point. I couldn't eat it all and sadly had to let the waiter wisp away a sizable piece I just couldn't put away. My wife's mushroom ravioli was rich and she mentioned it was the best ravioli she has had in a long time. I had a bite and it was as my wife said, rich, flavorful and a great ravioli. We then had their Tiramisu and my wife and I loved that. The service was excellent and the place had great energy. The owner was also there and he was great to talk with and super nice to our son. We highly recommend Lola when in Miami and will recommend it to our friends that live there and travel there. It has a unique menu, but most importantly, the food is really great and makes you happy. Kudos team Lola!!! Cheers!
OK, I should do a several pages review to let everyone know how great our experience was but I'm not feeling like writing much & I have to do it. My GF picked this restaurant (secretly) to celebrate my last BD. We were a small group of 7. When we walked into the building I was surprised by how old everything looks, it's like being in a movie from the 80's. And one lady on the front takes care of everything (parking, directions, greetings). Going to the main point, the restaurant is super nice, modern with a classic touch, good music, low light, romantic, great services and excellent food. Philips took good care of us, he's very passionate about his job, and friendly. Ask him whatever and he will know it or find the answer! We'll definitely go back soon and I suggest you to check it out if you haven't done it yet.
I was looking for a perfect spot to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were going to stay on the beach for the weekend so I wanted to pick a local spot. I relied on Yelp to help choose the perfect place, and it didn't let us down. Since it's Miami Beach, the prices, corkage fees, etc. are out of hand and you don't get what you pay for most of the time. I called ahead of time to arrange a birthday celebration for 12, Phillip answered my phone call and was very accommodating and friendly. I was looking for amazing food, nice music and the corkage fee to be reasonable. He was able to fulfill all my requests. Unfortunately, I needed to call back because we had a few friends cancel on us, but that is besides the point. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to see such cute decor, lights were dim with a stylish 80's vibe and impressive decor throughout. Phillip greeted us upon arrival and had our table ready, he created the best hospitality experience ever. Phillip was so passionate and detailed when talking about the entrees that we were about to tell him to sit down and join us because of the plethora of different selections that he filled us in on. You can really tell that he enjoys his job and serving. He was very happy to take pictures of our group at different angles of the table. We started out with blue cheese croquettes and a provoleta. Everyone ordered something different, my G ordered a Ribeye cooked to perfection with creamy spinach gratin and I ordered the most incredible and decadent cannelloni, it contained spinach, ricotta cheese chicken breast ham and Parmesan topped off with a cream sauce, it was by far the best cannelloni I have ever had. My bf's father never eats at night and when he does he may have a couple of bites, he ordered a spaghetti bolognese and he scoffed it down! I don't need to say more about that. Phillip came out with a nice warm chocolate cake with peanut butter and some other heavenly ingredients. The entire night was a huge success, we had a spectacular time celebrating my G's bday and this restaraunt doesn't break the bank, the ambiance and experience is worth a lot more then the prices on the menu. This is a hidden gem, we will definitely be back! Thank you for making my G's birthday so enjoyable!
Awesome and Incredible!! Best dinner ever! Phillip took care of us - impeccable service. The red snapper, Thai shrimp, and Frutti de Mare (sauce amazing) was simply the best I've had - trust me, I've eaten many here and Italy. We'll be back!
The service and food were exceptional but the a/c was defective and when they served the dessert there was a cockroach dead on the creme brulet.
For sure this is one of the best Restaurant in Miami Beach. The food is delicious from their appetizers to the desserts...Prices are really good for the quality of their food...The staff is very nice.
Lola you did not fail us! The service and food were perfection..last minute reservation and they treated us great. They don't serve spirits (only wine and beer), but they're priced super reasonable for Miami. Ambiance was sexy and romantic. Try the New York steak...d'lish!
Thank you Lola !!! Always delicious food and wonderful service
i loved the food is gourmet, tastefull, and guilt free. The waitress was fast friendly and efficent.I was lost when i tried to find it there is no sign outside the building that looks like a condominium.I was impress with everything I tasted from my family"s order.
Always so good and delicious!!!! Best service and atmosphere perfect to spend time with friends and family!, thank you LoLa !!!
Amazing lunch!! It's located in an apartment building on the M level. I live here so went to try the lunch - soooo good. They have a lunch special (I believe it's only Monday to Friday) and the price is amazing for the amount of food you get. They have specials for $11.95 and then various other prices for sandwiches, salads, etc. Very wide selection. I ordered the fish, side salad, and fries. They serve bread and butter when you arrive. Decent wine selection. I was so full! The only downside was that the service took a bit long, but it's probably because I went right when the kitchen opened at noon. I've heard the dinner is good too, so I'll be back go try that. You have the option of sitting outside on the patio, where you'll get a view of the pool and the ocean. Edit: tried the dinner - overpriced and not even that great. Ordered gnocchi.
I went here with my spouse for our 3 year anniversary, it was AMAZING!!!! This staff was so amazing. They made us feel like family. They were so welcoming and sweet and they treated us so nicely. They recommended the best things on the menu and they also gave us a few free things. They were just all around amazing hosts and I will be back for my next trip in Miami.
Quaint little spot with amazing food and service. The provoleta is to die for. The catch of the day was delicious and the filet mignon was great. However, the best bite was their crema Catalans dessert. It was absolutely delicious!
Located at the first floor of a condo, this restaurant is specialized for steak, but we've tried a pasta with fish too.. Waiters are very kindly and food very good, specially the New York steak.. List of wine is not so big but with a good selection..
