By far one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Everything about it just works so well - the staff, the food, the atmosphere.

Unfortunately we compared the great experience we had at Makoto in Vail CO. The expectation were very high.. .. this in Miami is good restaurant in an high end mall. The service was extremely fast ... too fast ! Make you think lot of the food was prepared. Overall a good experience but not what I expected

Makoto is consistently fabulous on every level! Margaux our server this visit totally brought it: she made great suggestions for my partner who has food allergies- everything was delicious, and with her help we ordered perfectly. everything looks so good @ Makoto it is easy to over order! I love Makoto and would reccomend for all- there is something for everyone. Great atmosphere- always feels fun!

One of our favorites! Wish the wine was better priced but worth it for a celebration. My kids eat better here than anywhere else. We've been going for more than 10 years and have always loved it.

Our server Madison was EXCELLENT! She made the evening. So nice to have such a memorable experience. Will definitely be back and will always ask for Madison!!!

The food was outstanding, as always. The service, which is usually also outstanding, was a bit weird. Early in the meal, the server was all over us and felt a bit rushed. Later on, she disappeared. I usually order is stages at Makoto, so that it is spaced out a bit. We ordered a few items and were planning to order more when those were done. However, before we had a chance to order the last couple of dishes, we were presented with the dessert menu. And when we finally got the check, we were about to add tip, not realizing it was already added. It would be nice if that was mentioned, especially at a restaurant where tip is substantial. But still well worth it for the food!

The food as always was amazing, but the service was beyond marvelous. From the moment I sat down at the table, I felt as if I was the only customer ( and the place was quite full). My server was really good, and then there was a second server, a lady with short short hair who reminded me so much of my youngest sister who also was soooo nice. I don't know what I did, but she came to the table with a desert that I would have ordered, but she just was kind enough to gift to my daughter and me. I hope someone recognizes who I'm talking about and says somethig to her.
