Monty's Sunset - South Beach

I love spending time in Monty’s, one of my favourite neighbourhood spots! This nice atmosphere bar with a gorgeous view on yachts ,nice drinks and a great live band on weekends makes it a special place, whether it’s a fun meeting with friends, or a beautiful date! Special thanks to Valentin and the rest of the team for being so friendly, attentive and professional,it makes us coming back again and again.💃🙂

The restaurant has plenty of parking available (an open lot, and 3 garages). PayByPhone operates the parking but no need to pay bc your server will validate your license plate for 3 hours if your eating in the restaurant. There is also the option to come by boat and it's first come first serve. Depending on the size of the boats usually 4-6 boats can park on the floating dock at the marina. Fri, Sat, and Sun there is an attendant to assist with lines and then the rest of week just come and hope there is space and tie yourself up. Live music is on weekends is great as well as the large pool in the center of outside seating. Usually mostly kids get in if there is anyone in the pool. Great location in South Beach nestled at the center of Miami Beach Marina on the boardwalk. I love the location because as you eat or drink you can see the boats come in and out of the marina. Also great view of the cruise ships and container ships as the cone and go through Government Cut. Nice view of Fisher Island and the Coast Guard Station. The prices of drinks and food is a little high for me and not always worth it. Certain items are great but I enjoy the atmosphere most not the food. That's not to say you will be disappointed bc I doubt that actually. 6.5 stars out of 10. That may seem low but for me to give

I’ve been to this place several times. I love coming here for lunch after being at the beach near South Pointe. I prefer coming for lunch because the music is lower. I love the salads—the Greek one is delicious.
And then, what can I say about this view...che spettacolo!!!!

Our server Jonathan was great! The location of the restaurant was near the water and the boat doc. The food was not good at all. The mahi mahi sandwich was dry with no flavor. The lobster roll was not the regular lobster roll that most establishments serve. It was chopped up lobster with mayo, celery, onions, etc. It was salad in a bun. Definitely not worth $30.

We ordered 3 Mahi Mahi sandwiches. All of them were dry and hard. The chips were very dry and hard, and felt like they could break a tooth. It's not a good place for food, but atmosphere was fine.

Spent a lot of money and I don’t regret it. We came for big seafood and that’s what we got. Mahi was awesome (had both grilled and blackened). Peel and Eat shrimp were good as well. Big platter of fried clams/shrimp/calimari/etc was righteous.

Sad that such a legendary venue can’t even make a decent batch of fries and mahi fingers. I wonder if the kitchen makes the same batch for the owners or the owners simply don’t care.

Overall a decent enough experience although was expecting a little more in terms of both the food quality and atmosphere given the reviews I’d read on here. Food we had was nice enough just nothing particularly special or outstanding, likewise the atmosphere was quite subdued/quiet. Service was great though and seeing the sunset over the boats and skyline is definitely worth the price paid (just under $300 for 4)

Tourists trap. Food was below average for the price. We got mahi mahi tacos—they were cold and barely had any fish. Their menu advertises stone crab claws and charge premium price for it but is not real stone crab claws.
